Stunning property, perfect for a short break

The room was amazing, very quirky and comfortable. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was fantastic with so many options!

Ability to get an ice bucket or bottle opener/cork screw in the room would be fantastic but not a huge issue

An uber stylish hotel in the middle of a stunning historic town 1 hour drive from Calais.

Faultless attention to detail. Charming staff and superb breakfast. My 2nd favourite hotel in the world as far as style and value. My 1st is Raffles in Singapore so you can see how much I love the place.

Great rooms , charming old house , highly recommended !

We have stayed a couple of times here , great location & rooms , small place , but that’s the charm of it. At night you it’s like being in your own home with a comfortable downstairs lounge to yourself. Would definitely recommend!

The most charming and stylish guest house we've ever stayed in.

pieuX was fabulous in every way. The building is beautiful and the décor is incredibly stylish. Every detail in the property has been beautifully thought out and the result was an enchanting, charming experience. The personal greeting from staff and the homemade lemonade and biscuits were a wonderful touch. We're already planning to come back in the spring for a long weekend. PS the beds are very comfy!

A lovely, unique place to stay in a slightly quirky by beautifully converted property. Exceptionally clean with big, well thought-out and well appointed rooms. Breakfast was wonderfully fresh and the staff very welcoming and engaging.

Lovely old building, full of beautiful furniture. Great position, close to cafes & restaurants & not far from wonderful beaches.

We much prefer showers, a bath with a hand held shower doesn’t work for us. A fridge, why aren’t there small fridges in the rooms?

Interesting and characterful.

Great location just off the main square but far enough away to be quiet. Charming host. Fabulously comfortable bed. Interesting house, full of character. Excellent breakfast of local and homemade delicacies. Plenty of pressure and hot water in the shower, which had quite avant-garde skirting lighting.

Couldn't quite see the point of the hip bath, would have preferred a decent-sized basin there plus a WC. Also never quite understood why the door opening in the lobby partition was less than 5'0" high! But we still enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come again as the plus points well outweigh the negative ones.

The room, the hotel, the atmosphere, the garden, the position in the centre of Montreuil. What a perfect hotel!

The breakfast was disappointing and not up to the standards of the hotel or the name of the chef. A little bit of cheese, some sausage, a boiled egg, ... Just some bread and "confiture" does not do the job for the price paid!

Nothing not to dislike. House was chic with nooks and crannies. Large loft room was great and shabby chic does not denigrate it in any way. Don’t expect posh but stylish French. Fresh brioche and more for a super breakfast.

Extremely cosy B&B / Chambre D'Hotes, especially if you like beautiful things / design : Superb recreational room, extended with a stunning "porch"-like room. Having a campfire is one of the possibilities ... Bonus : Excellent coffee is available.

Breakfast is served with fresh and local products : Fresh orange juice, jam, ... Only downside to our stay, is that choices at breakfast are somewhat limited regarding to bread, toppings, ...

Séjour, très confortable avec des amis, le petit-déjeuner est somptueux.

L’ambiance très intimiste est très agréable. Si on vient avec quelques amis, on occupe les 4 chambres et on privatise le lieu !

Je sais que c’est un choix du propriétaire des lieux, mais le manque d’éclairage dans les chambres et salles de bain rend là lecture ou le maquillage difficile.

Superbe maison à l'ambiance feutrée et vintage ,calme et confortable, parfait pour un weekend tranquille dans la charmante cité de Montreuil , les autres adresses d'Alexandre Gauthier sont parfaites également (l'Anecdote,la Grenouillère ,Sur Mer ,Sur la place et la Froggy Taverne) Mention spéciale pour le merveilleux petit déjeuner !

Rien ,tout était parfait ainsi que l'accueil adorable
