Exceptional séjour in beautiful Baie de Somme, a stone throw away from London

The location, beautiful gîte, very relaxing, the fact that we could park the car inside the property, the gîte had everything for self-catering. Hosts very attentative, found us a restaurant for our first night.

Convenient and comfortable stop over location.

Good rooms, good breakfast, quirky layout and welcoming host. Being in the centre of the village, the location is very convenient to walk to any of the few nearby bars and restaurants.

Public rooms could've been warmer. The property hadn't quite made the transition from summer through to autumn and it was cold when sitting in the bar or breakfast area. Clearer driving instructions could have been made available to guests prior to arrival as it was tricky to find the entrance to the rear drive and car park in the dark and wasn't easy to locate on satnav.

A lovely stay in a comfortable old house.

Lovely room in a big old house with extensive gardens and outdoor areas. There is a quirky artistic touch with lots of colour and interesting designs throughout. Breakfast was good, typical French continental style with Jams breads, cheese and croissants. The location was good as we wanted to explore Arras, Amiens, Versailles and the coast! There are a few local restaurants but not many- be prepared to drive to Arras and beyond. We enjoyed the spa - sauna and hot tub! Free Parking on site A friendly family run hotel!

Breakfast was good but it would have been nice to have some eggs at breakfast, even boiled eggs.

The quality of the hotel, the size of the room, its cleanliness, the option to have a spa, the location in the middle of the village, the private car parking and the breakfast - were all excellent. Would definitely visit again

A great place - longer than one night would have been better!

A very comfortable and interesting place to stay. Beautiful decor with fascinating artwork and quirky areas. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent safe parking for our motorcycle. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit from the garden and other local produce. Situated in a nice town, with restaurant/s nearby.

I was almost put off by the earliest check-in time of 4pm, but I planned the journey accordingly. However, I did receive a message saying our room was ready at 3, but it was too late to change our plans! A 'standard' 3pm check-in time would be better from my point of view,

Exceeded our expections and highly recommended for anyone visiting this area of northern France.

A stylish and slightly quirky B&B in an old property with a short walk into the centre of Saint-Riquier. Friendly owner. Comfy beds and bathrooms with a walk-in shower. Good variety at breakfast. The spa (jacuzzi and sauna), table tennis, table football and the large garden are an added bonus.

such an amazing, quirky, fun place to stay

Amazing beds. Room fits a small family of 3 (child <12 years old). Quirky and unique stay. Large lovely garden with rabbits. Free and plentiful parking in their massive shed. Artist-drawn walls. Clean rooms. Sauna and jacuzzi rooms with self-booking. Honesty bar with stocked drinks (didn't sample, but great idea). Various indoor and outdoor lounge areas. Nice, simple breakfast. Quaint location in St. Riquer village with a few nice restaurants and the cathedral. Not far from St. Valery sur Somme - a nice day trip. Friendly staff who were more than accommodating my "Duolingo French". And affordable / great value!

Extra bed had wobbly legs, but not a big problem. We lacked a water kettle in our room which we needed to fill our hot water bottle as our child had a tummy upset one night (kid emergencies), but we used the nespresso machine to make hot water instead - I tried looking for a water kettle in the honesty bar but there wasn't one, and I didn't want to bother the hotel staff.

Beautiful period, magnificent property. Gorgeous gardens with private and secure parking. The bedroom and en-suite were large, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Lots of nice touches just as dressing gowns, slippers and water provided. The breakfast was the best we had ever had. Well presented with lovely diced fruit, yogurt, bread and home made jams. Bowl of fruit, cheese, ham and of course bead and croissants & choc au pans. Outside space was available for use with lots of seating areas and play areas. Table tennis, table football and pétanque. They are adding a SPA for next season which looked wonderful. Didn’t use the lounge area and honesty bar but certainly would have if we had a longer stay. Great welcome and lots of advice of where to eat and what to see is this small town with a huge Abbey and Bell Tower.

We liked everything. This was a super experience. Excellent value for money. Big garden to relax. Private covered parking for our motorcycles. Located right in the town center near the restaurants. Very friendly hosts. Excellent breakfast.

We will be returning to the property and the area soon

A complex of buildings containing the accommodation. All individually designed. Bathroom was a special feature with large bath and superb shower. Breakfast was very good and varied prepared by the hosts. There is plenty of outside space and car parking with an extremely extensive wooden grassed area for sitting around and leisure. There are three restaurants near but we must recommend The Grange. Food is traditionally French and of a very high quality but reasonably priced.

Great stop on journey.

Exceptional nights stay. Chosen because just off the motorway and was easy to find. Had secure parking so happy leaving stuff in the car. Very quirky but fascinating decor and a lovely large room with excellent bathroom. Everything spotlessly clean. Breakfast was truly amazing and so sad I couldn't eat any more but I did try! Interesting town and a good restaurant very close. Perfect overnight stop.

travelled a number of times through out France and this is a true gem

cleanliness was outstanding, the extra touches, for example, the court yard where we had G&T's were supplied with ice & glasses to complement our drinks. Coffee and tea make facilities (a rarity) Comfort of the bed and quietness of the room. The warmth of the welcome from both monsieur and madam, the beautiful artwork and the 18th century building. Located close to a stunning Abbey and a really good bar and restaurant.

Spotlessly COVID clean

The place was spotless and we felt very safe. The breakfast was excellent Really central and places for an evening meal were very close. If you have time take a walk around the British war cemetery, all we are being asked to do is wear a mask and stay in for a few weeks! Extremely safe parking at the rear of the property.

There was nothing not to like, we will use it again when traveling to/from Eurotunnel

A splendid suprise

We had a splendid, well equipped spacious room and bathroom in a mediaeval building in the centre of Saint Riquier. The sympathetic owner showed us the incredible garden of the house, where we had a nice walk. After a good night’s sleep in the king size bed and a good breakfast we left for the Netherlands. If possible, we’ll return next year!
