Famtastic hotel in center of Ohrid

- location superb, a short walk away from the lake and all bars and restaurants - rooms beautiful and very spacious (we had a family room and kids literally played football inside :)) - staff extremely welcoming - parking right in front - massage spectacular

Clean. The breakfast was good. Football and tennis courts super close. Good location near the lake, 20 min (nice) walk from the centre and the old town.

Really nice resort with great outdoor pool. Rooms were very clean. Staff were all great and able to help us add an extra night because we enjoyed it. Short walk to ohrid lake which is great.

Great hotel to stay at. Fantastic breakfast in the morning and awesome, helpful and welcoming people working in the reception. The rooms and bathrooms were also very nice and very big. Great aircondition as well.

Quite classy

Location is just beyond the edge of the pier, which means it is peaceful but a tad further from the center, though still easily walkable. Rooms were large and clean. Great Breakfast.

The view from the front was occluded by a construction site at the time of our stay. We stayed at the back which had an ok view. No iron in the room and fairly high prices for the ironing service

4 nights staying. No changes of bedding. Hotel placed in reconstruction area. Literally, the huge part of hotel territory is under construction. SPA zone is not well equipped. Places near the pool are overloaded. There were several smokers, all time of my staying. Mosquitoes, be prepared)))

Construction and service disappointment

The rooms were large and spacious. The breakfast was average. The pool was large.

Things I did not like 1. I paid extra to have a balcony room and my balcony was so tiny and faced directly onto a construction site. 2. My parents were also staying in a separate room. They did not pay extra for a balcony but they got one which faced the tennis courts. I was not happy about this. 3. The service at the pool bar was terrible. No one came to serve you. You had to go to the bar and take drinks back yourself. Yet there were a number of bar staff just sitting leisurely chatting rather than working. 4. The pool staff were disrespectful towards me and other guests at the pool. 5. The price of cocktails were overpriced compared to other venues. 6. The construction is an eye sore. It is literally directly across the hotel. 7. Its about a 20 min walk to the main town. If you have children I would recommend somewhere closer.

Modern and functional but some issues

Large rooms, swimming pool, gym, and sauna. Ohrid is beautiful and this property is just a few mins walk from the lake itself.

Hotel used by package tour companies who probably get good deals, for us booking independently and paying 130 euros per night it was very poor value. Rooms barely cleaned each day, breakfast poor quality, pool area felt neglected (guests had to drag heavy umbrella stands and fetch umbrellas from bar area and assemble umbrellas themselves). It felt like the staff couldn’t care less. Bathroom floor floods each time you shower, room was massive but balcony minuscule, our door key stopped working multiple times, the complex feels poorly designed and all has a rather functional and charmless feel. More like a 3 star hotel at best.

Great stay in Ohrid

We liked everything about the hotel - comfort of the rooms, the cleanliness, the location, the restaurant food. But most of all we appreciated the amazing staff (at reception, in the restaurant, housekeeping) - it always responded to all of our requests and in general made our stay unforgettable. .

Beautiful, inspiring, and serene hotel

This is a superb hotel with (what I believe) a super cold spring water pool and a spa (3 saunas, jacuzzi, etc.) I loved the pool even though I generally don't like cold water—a first for me. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, had a stunning mountain view, and was inspiring. The shower and bathroom are top-notch. Our comfort was unprecedented. The location is right next to the lake, and the boardwalk, and a little bit aside and secluded from all the action and noise - perfect for those of us who crave serenity and peace. The breakfast was generally excellent and had good choices. Ohrid is a stunning feat of both nature and culture and having a hotel like this makes it even more meaningful.

The hotel has two elevators but only one seemed to be working. The coffee served for our breakfast is from an automatic machine that you press a button. As a coffee lover, I would prefer to have better quality coffee (drip or filter coffee is perfectly acceptable). The restaurant (which is not included in the hotel room price) on the ground level needs improvement. The main meat dishes come with what looks like frozen vegetables (not fresh). I'm giving this hotel a rating of 10 because, for Ohrid standards, the hotel is exceptional even with the minor issues above.

Good, but could have been so much better!

Big and clean room with modern standard. Nice location near city center. Near enough that you can walk there in 10-15 min, but far enough to avoid all the noise and music from the bars. A big swimming pool and a small one for small children. A small play room for children. A gym and a spa. Good breakfast.

Boiled broccoli on the floor next to our sunbeds when we came to the pool in the morning. Huge pile of garbage next to the gate to walk to the city center. The staff is smoking with the door open to the gym where guests exercise. Much of the spa was not working. There was shampoo and shower gel in our shower, but no hair conditioner. This was not refilled when the room was cleaned (only the towels and the toilet paper), so we ran out eventually. Poor locks on the doors in the toilets on the first floor nearest the pool. My 8 year old niece could not open hers and was stuck there for a while until they got hold of the janitor who let her out. You would expect more from a 5 star hotel.

Not worth it!

We are not sure how this is listed as a 5 star hotel (stars are displayed on the entrance of the hotel) and how can this hotel receive so many positive reviews. Besides the size of our room, nice building, and a big parking, nothing about this place delivers that 5 stars experience.

For the amount of money this place charges, it is overpriced and just not worth it. This is what we have observed during our stay. Breakfast was a huge let down - presentation and choices belong to a one star hotel. The same items served every single morning. Items were just dumped into holders - not very appetizing and truly disappointing. Surprised that a 5 star hotel cannot invest in a normal size napkins for breakfast. The napkins that were put on the table are truly a joke. Tables during breakfast were not cleaned well - you can see the crumbs from other people eating at the table after they left. No sanitation at all. WiFi in our suite was not great - very spotty - works great for a few minutes and then it doesn’t. Housekeeping was done so poorly each day - plates from the room service were in our room for two days until I saw and ask one cleaning lady to take it way. She was so unfriendly and rude. That is just one example. Sometimes our trash can was not emptied, glasses were kept dirty, our fridge was never refilled with water even after we put the sign indicating that, the sink in the bathroom was not cleaned well as there was a toothpaste residue which means that sink was not washed, etc. The towels were old, scratchy and they looked dirty which means they were not washed well. Some towels were actually ripped at the edges. Sheets are just terrible and the pillows are not comfortable at all. No tissues in the bathroom - we bought them ourselves. Our vanity kit was refilled only once during our 6 night stay - we had to buy our own q-tips. We found so many little bugs on the window frame (inside of the room) when we pulled curtains away. Yuck! More food variates at the pool bar- only two different pizzas are offered. No salads or sandwiches. No jumping in the pool - this should be the rule for adults and children. Children should not be allowed in the gym. Final bill should be itemized so the customer can see/check all the charges
