I loved this gem of a place! Very quiet off the main touristic streets but close to everything. Room size was huge compared to others in the country. Would definitely stay again!

Staff very nice, location great, breakfast looked far better than many places (cooked to order) but unfortunately we were in a hurry to catch a bus and couldn’t partake. The room to eat breakfast in was really nice cellar with excellent decor.
The shower room was a bit worn and some of the furnishings were a bit tired but we both had the best sleep in 2 weeks on the beds.

Location.location
AC and safe box did not work well even with help from reception. . Took room with balcony but only room for one.on it.and it faced the wall not the lake..
Where was the winery??expensive for what was offered.but location helped.

Hotel is centrally located and placed in beautiful surroundings. Our room had a nice view from the balcony.
My experience was ruined by bad customer service. We found the minibar wine damaged and undrinkable and raised it at check-out assuming it was resolved. A week later, long after departure the cost for the wine was charged from my credit card without my consent. Regardless of differing opinions on the taste of the flawed wine this kind of after the fact charge is unacceptable. The Hotel & Winery is priced at a premium for the region, with that comes an expectation of professionalism. This is by far the most disappointing experience I have ever had in terms of service and sadly a place I cannot recommend.

Breakfast can be better, maybe more foods.

the lady who checked us in was so calm and positive;on first floor, not ground floor; can see the lake from our window; A/C works really well; four pillows provided; night lamp on each side of bed; some hooks in bathroom for hanging towels and clothes; liquid body soap and shampoo provided; sink and shower faucets have character; hot water and strong water pressure in shower; amazing old stone steps leading up to hotel; no motorized vehicles can come up to hotel - makes it a peaceful place; breakfast from 8-10: a sweet lady prepared breakfast each day: eggs, sausages, yogurts, fresh fruit, local spreads, fresh bread, delicious coffee and a locally made sweet surprise (each day there were a few new items and some same items)
difficult to find a place off the floor for our duffel bags; the room felt a bit crowded with furniture pieces; could easily hear neighbors through walls; there was a buzzing sound in our room from t.v./music in neighboring room; no place to sit outside (we didn't have a balcony) and there was no shared outside sitting place

Perfect location
The ladies face when we grabbed a coffee to go in our mugs at the breakfast.

Good location just off the beatin' path so itvwas quiet and comfortable and a very short walk to get to one of the main streets. Excellent value! The staff was very kind and the breakfast and breakfast area in the winery were great! We'd stay there again! Mickey the hotel cat was super friendly and cute!
Parking was not convenient but we knew this. Definitely not a problem.

This stay was 13 to 15 years later from our first stay. Their accommodations were just as good now as they were back then. The only change was breakfast was served in a dining area. This stay added to our memories of Ohrid, North Macedonia.

Lovely period property.
Excellent location in the heart of the lovely old town (UNESCO recognised)
Very comfortable room with good facilities (check the cabinets to find the kettle, cups and tea/coffee etc)
Great views out over the town and the lake from my window. I particularly recommend getting a second floor room for best views. My room (room 18) was particularly great for views as it was on the corner with windows in 2 directions so get that one if you can.
Friendly and helpful staff who were good at communicating by WhatsApp in advance of arrival.
Advice provided in advance on car parking in Ohrid was excellent and very useful - would have been difficult to work out otherwise. Like most lovely old towns in the balkans, Ohrid was built for horses rather than cars and the twisting maze or cobbled streets are mostly pedestrianised. Overall this is a major positive that substantially contributes to Ohrid’s charm but it does mean you need to park your car a short walk away from your accommodation if you stay in the old town. And you really DO want to stay in the old town as it’s lovely.
Breakfast options were a bit limited (I stayed in March - ie off season)
As a wine lover who very much enjoys trying local wine as I travel, it was a little disappointing to stay at a villa which was also a winery but be not be able to try any of their wines (or even buy it by the glass). This may be partly timing - I was told their wine bar opens from April for the summer season so was unlucky to be visiting in March

The location was outstanding. The hill is a bit tough on folks w mobility issues, but we managed. The breakfast was a wonderful addition we did not expect.
An elevator from the road?? Kidding. Unfortunate there was no wine tasting.

Perfect location with beautiful views, comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and helpful.
Most minimal of buffet breakfasts I've ever seen and doesn't start til 8am which is a little annoyingly late. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel but a 2 star hotel in a 5 star location. Expensive for what you get.

Location was nice enough. Also decently clean.
Very, very uncomfortable beds. Not very practical bathroom, everything wet all the time.

The location is great in the old part of the town, the room is furnished in a traditional manner, and the breakfast was very good, continental and English breakfast were available, fruits as well.
There was no mirror in the room and I was not told that I have to put the sign "Please clean up my room" for the maid to come.

You simply can’t beat the location - the hotel is in the beautiful old city, so close to all the restaurants but really quiet day and night. We stayed in the penthouse and the views of the lake from the living area and bedroom were simply spectacular! The customer service is excellent, breakfast was delicious, everything was really clean. We’ve stayed here twice now and we can’t wait to return again one day!

Great location. Nice comfortable room. Good breakfast.
The first room downstairs was smelly (cigarette or mould). After complaining, I got a nice, fresh and better room. Seems that they know that downstairs room is smelly; they have a lot of complaints. Why renting it out then? Elena at the reception was not to blaim but the owner (Greek lady) should do something about it!!!

This is a beautiful winery/hotel in the old town of Ohrid - the setting is idyllic. We had a complimentary glass of wine the first evening from the hotel's own winery, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was amazing - homemade buns, homemade apricot jam - these nice touches elevate the experience.
My bathroom/shower was super-tiny and difficult to navigate but this is to be expected in the old town. Coffee is from an automatic machine, so not the best. If you are a coffee buff like I am, you will have to get it elsewhere.

The location was amazing and the breakfast was good!
The fact that I couldn't reach the reception when I needed help. It's not 24/7.

Old town location and views
Rooms are very dated - for the price we paid for the Penthouse we expected 10/10 but you are paying mostly for the view and some extra living space. The bathtub leaked and flooded the bathroom floor every time we took a shower. Some of the blinds in the living room are broken so you couldn’t properly close / open during the day/night.
Service was very strange.
We asked for some help to pay for parking, as we could not pay via sms as the parking signs ask for. Firstly, the lady at check in told us that where we parked was very expensive and we should try elsewhere, but we parked exactly where the hotel recommended to park in our communications before arriving! She then told us to just go back and find the parking man, who would be somewhere on the street. We went back to the car (which is not super close to the hotel) and walked around for 20 minutes but didn’t see anyone. At this stage it started raining heavily and we eventually asked a local to help us. They directed us to a proper permanent ticket office on the next street where we paid on the spot. The whole thing was a total waste of time.
We also had a confusing situation with the same manager when checking out as she told us the payment for the room did not go through and asked me to provide another credit card to process the bill. I didn’t question this and handed over a card but it did not work on the machine. At this point I realised that I had already pre-paid in full with booking.com and so should not be giving any cards for payment. I showed her the confirmation but she kept saying that she had not received the money and we needed to stay while she sorted it out. I refused to hand over any more cards as I was afraid of being double charged and was eventually asked to sign an invoice (in cyrillic which I don’t read). I was very uncomfortable but I really didn’t know what more to do and by then we just wanted to leave.

nice location, good view, quiet atmosphere,
Maybe because out of season we were there, bathroom was quite cold. Other than that, it is always good there!

We were on a working holiday so chose the penthouse apartment since we would be spending more time than usual in the room.. Spacious with a functional kitchen and the views were stunning! Fantastic location in charming Old Town and walkable to many restaurants and sights. Staff were wonderful- Ivana went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our time in Ohrid. Variety of choices for a large, delicious breakfast.
Room was very clean though there was a bit of staining on the grout in the shower.
