It is not worth what I paid

Pictures on the website is fake. It is a lot worse than pictures. Don’t let the pictures fool you. They serve breakfast which is not fresh and selections are so limited and bad quality.

Good, but do not stay after season ends

Excellent location, and the bar was also great. Also like the reception staff, even though they were a bit slow when we were checking in.

The hotel was good, but doors couldn’t close, not even shut them all the way. We stayed during October, and when we got in the room in the evening the heating was OFF and the room was FREEZING! No one at reception to help us and not even an extra blanket.

Great, clean, cozy stay

Great staff, the location is really central with the Old Bazaar being 100 m away and the lake just a short walk. The facilities were great and the cleanliness which we value a lot was perfect, with clean bedsheets, disinfected WC etc.

The only thing that we had to worry about was the Parking which was not granted by the Hotel but rather find it yourself but i would say that we did not worry much cause we found a free street parking that the receptionist showed us. The car was safe and not a single problem but still maybe sometimes you worry when your vehicle is out in the streets.

Solid accommodation

Rooftop bar was cool experience, I liked the bathroom as well and it was clean. Views were clean too. I also liked that housekeeping prepared two beds for us even though I didn't asked for it but it helped as we were two friends traveling together

Disappointed and would not recommend this location

Location

We were quite disappointed with our stay considering the amount we paid. The spare bed cover was not clean and had an unpleasant smell. The shower was also not properly cleaned, and the sink tap caused a blockage which took a while to fix. Overall, the cleanliness standards were not acceptable, and it didn’t meet our expectations for the price.

Great location and hotel, but disappointing service

The hotel itself is great - it’s very clean, with a nice breakfast and an amazing location right in the city center. Everything is within walking distance: the lake, the fortress, and all the main attractions. However, the staff was surprisingly indifferent. I had my birthday during our stay - I even wrote a message in advance to let them know, and later my boyfriend reminded them again at check-in. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment at all. On top of that, we had an early departure at 5 AM and asked for a breakfast box the night before. The receptionist confirmed it, took our room number, and told us where to pick it up. Even the restaurant staff said to confirm with reception. But in the morning, the staff simply said, “No breakfast,” without any apology or explanation. It was very strange and disappointing. Overall, the stay was good - but the lack of attention from the staff left a bad impression. I’m lowering the rating a bit because of that.

Central location, modern hotel

Stayed in a low season, got a promotional price For around 40$ we got: A freshly renovated hotel. A nice room. The reception walked an extra mile getting the sofa bed transformed to a bed in advance of my arrival. Hotel was located in a walking distance to the lake. A tasty breakfast for 2. Highly recommend as it is the best value for money we found

Do not expect much of soundproofing in the rooms - hotel is located at one of the main city roundabouts - you will hear traffic noise surely, but that is ok for people used to city life. Booking.com had a wrong address of the hotel when we were trying to find it - we brought it up to the attention of the hotel manager who promissed to have it fixed. *A general tip for travellers to Macedonia - it is allowed to smoke inside restaurants and the smoking areas are not separated from non-smoking areas - the same trend is observed at the Sky corner hotel, during breakfast.

Fell short of our expectations due to the noise disruptions, party till 1 am on weekend nights.

Only positive aspect is the location, it's very close to the city center and the old town.

Noise Issues: We were not informed prior to our stay that the hotel hosts parties on the 4th floor restaurant every Friday and Saturday night during the winter season. The noise from the party lasted until 1 am, and having room on 3rd floor it was impossible for us and our young child to go to bed before 1 am. It was incredibly disappointing that this information was not disclosed during the booking process. Overbooking Confusion: To add to our frustration, the hotel overbooked our room and tried to convince us that we were already in our room. The lack of communication and the attempt to brush off the overbooking issue were extremely unprofessional and left us feeling undervalued as guests.

Think twice before staying here!

Location.

This property is run down. Carpets badly stained. Shower is stained or in need of a good clean. Hotel Needs a thorough clean and upgrade. We’ve stayed here previously and this hotel is not cared for at all. Standards have certainly slipped. Reception don’t answer their phone. We had a big storm and our room leaked in various places. When we bought the attention to staff we thought they would change us to another room but we were left waiting up half the night and no one came back. Staff are extremely sour and unhelpful. . Breakfast was sad. 4 star hotel offering soft drink for O J. No toaster either and when requested fresh juice was told we had to pay further. We did not enjoy our stay at Sky Corner this time around and will certainly not return.

Great location of the hotel. Walking distance from the lake and lots of shops nearby hotel. Amazing view from the rooftop restaurant.

Parking is a bit further away from the hotel. We made last minute reservation and it wasn't visible in the hotel's system so there was a small issue on check-in but it was resolved.

Lovely short stay in Ohrid

Sky Corner Hotel is located in the city centre. There are lots of shops and open market nearby. Our room for 4 persons was good for 3 nights we spent. I would prefer if there was a safe in the room. Breakfast was nice and simple. Staff were very helpful. The view from the restaurant is superb.
