Fantastic!

One of my favourit hostels in this trip! It’s a cozy place and Filip, the owner, made me feel at home and like part of the family at all times! It’s clean, near everything in Ohrid and has really comfortable rooms. It’s easy to meet people and be social but you can also have quiet time to yourself.

The best hostel I’ve stayed at - didn’t even feel like a hostel, more so a friend’s house Filip is a great host, makes everyone feel welcome and is always around to hang out with, give recommendations etc The hostel itself is close to the centre and very clean 100% recommend and great to work remote from too

I don't know why the evaluation is so good When I arrived, the owner was away and there was only his mother I contacted the owner about the check-in method, but he didn't get a reply And when I thought I got a reply, they said we were in Tirana now There was no explanation or explanation from the owner or his mother about how to use the hostel. Best hostel in Ohrid

First of all, thank you for everything, Filip. It was a great place with friendly people. Filip, the owner, was always there to help, and with daily events at the hostel, we got to socialize more with other guests. I highly recommend staying here – it truly felt like being in my own family’s house.

Beautiful location in beautiful Ohrid, could use a deep clean.

The location is great — just a 5-minute walk from the bazaar and close to the Old Town. The hostel has a big garden and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that makes it easy to meet people. The AC is strong (which you’ll appreciate in the summer heat), and there’s a beautiful view from the balcony. Plus, it’s in Ohrid — a truly breathtaking town that elevates any stay.

The place is quite messy overall. Surfaces didn’t feel very clean. In my room, for instance, none of the cutlery had been properly washed. It could use a good deep clean throughout. Also, not a complaint but a heads-up — I did spot a few small scorpions on the balcony, so maybe keep your shoes on when you’re outside.

Amazing hostel in amazing area

Ohrid is a very special place, and if you find a hostel like Golden Age... well, you won't want to leave. The beds have a drawer underneath to organize things, and it makes it very practical. The managers are super friendly and make you feel at home. They organize meals, games, and even put a screen in the garden to watch soccer or movies. This brings people together a lot, and you end up making friends with everyone. Also if you are in the hostel for five nights, laundry is free. I recommend it 🙂

Beautifully friendly and communal hostel, in a great location. Great value for money. It has the atmosphere you want from a hostel, and which many hostels lack. Filip, who runs it, is a wonderful guy, and very helpful. I couldn't recommend it higher!

Great hostel in Ohrid (a 10 min walk from the lake)! Nice atmosphere, great single room with a comfortable bed (& clean shared bathroom), a nice terrace, lots of storage space, and fast internet. Restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and shops nearby.

Great place to stay!

The staff is really friendly, very nice vibe. The rooms are spacious, natural light, there is a kitchen with everything you need including coffee and tea. Tap water is really good and also there are a few places where you can get spring water for free so you don't need to buy. Just have your own bottle for refilling. Very well located close to all the main amenities and quite close to the lake as well. I booked for a couple of nights but I extended for a month.

Just a great place

The amazing hospitality and experience, you really just feel welcomed and relaxed here. Loved the informality of the place. It was clean and comfortable wonderful Hosts Philip, his mom and Winnie who are really warm and kind people, to the extent that you will stay way longer than you planned because of how great the place is. Not to forget Sashko who was 10/10, the coolest guy ever, who also cooked for us and took us on so many tours of the town and shared some great stories. You will also meet some locals/friends of Philip like, Chris who also made the stay amazing and fun. Overall 10/10 great!

Practically perfect in every way!

Quiet, friendly and helpful staff, nice neighborhood, pretty garden, close to city center and bus station, reasonably priced, good communal vibe, well stocked kitchen, strong WiFi, plenty of heat and hot water.

The stairs need to have handrails installed. It’s not safe for guests carrying heavy luggage and backpacks, especially for older guests.

Philip and Winnie are super lovely, felt like visiting old friends with great energy. They were super helpful with everything. Biljana, was really sweet and generous in sharing her delicious homemade delicacies. Hostel was clean, rooms spacious with super comfy beds and a fully equiped kitchen. You’ll leave this hostel a few friends richer in your life for sure.

This hostel has everything!

The hostel has all that you can wish for. Filip and his mom are the friendliest and most helpful hosts and are the definition of Macedonian hospitality. They will go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant and memorable as possible. The hostel has a very social vibe with always interesting people to hang out and regularly (spontaneous) planned activities and dinners. At the same time the vibe is very relaxed and family-like. The hostel has spacious areas with a nice garden and rooftop terrace with beautiful view on the mountain to drink your coffee in the morning. The rooms are well-equipped with comfortable beds and a bathroom on every floor. It is also a very good place to work from. Fast Wifi is available in the whole hostel and there are plenty of desks/ workplaces to be able to work comfortably. The city centre and restaurants/bars are with a 5 min walk from hostel very close by. If you want to have an unforgettable time, this is your place!

Book it! The city and the hostel are outstanding.

The owner is super kind and went out of his way to help all the guests. (Even drove me to the hospital after a bad spill in Belgrade). Everyone extends their stay, that’s how amazing it is. Great value, great guests, awesome stay. And the city is so steeped in culture, you can’t just spend a few days. Highly recommend.

The staff was so friendly! I quickly felt like I had an Ohrid family. There was a music festival there that weekend and a bunch of us that were staying at the hostel went there together. It was great.

I planned to stay there one night, but the beautiful city and cozy hostel made me book an additional night. Hostel owner is super cool, welcoming, hangs out with guests and even gave me a lift out of the city to start hitchhiking. Wonderful stay and coolest hostel in Ohrid!
