Absolutely fantastic...could have stayed on and on! This was our third stay as a family at this superb house and we will be back again for sure. The house has plenty of space - more than enough for four adults and we wished that we had invited some friends too! As usual, Maria Cristina and Luca were the most wonderful and considerate hosts with excellent communication and, as expected, a the property was beautifully presented. We came back again without hesitation as this house is perfect for us: a high-quality self catering break in a secluded location that is not too far from local attractions, historic cities/towns, good for a bit of walking and running (I wish I'd brought a road and mountain bike too...) and with local restaurants if the mood took us. Fantastic all round and we are all recharged and raring to go. To be honest, we could have stayed and stayed in this traditional, homely, peaceful and very well equipped house.I'm so glad we chose to come back again - it was the right decision (I think we knew that anyway!). A huge thank you to Maria Cristina and Luca for another fantastic break at your super house. We will see you again soon.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this beautiful holiday home. The location is stunning, offering peace and tranquility that allowed us to fully relax and unwind. We last stayed here in 2017 and were looking for somewhere we knew would be good for a post-pandemic travel restriction week in the sun - we were not disappointed. Maria Cristina and Luca are fantastic hosts, their property is beautiful and secluded and there is much to do in the area (Lucca, Pisa, Florence all within easy driving distance)...or you can just enjoy soak up the calming atmosphere by the pool! Children (17 and 16) thought it was great (again) too. Very many thanks for a special week.

We stayed at Casa Alice for a week and were completely thrilled. The house is surrounded by an olive grove and the whole property is very well maintained. The pool is very clean and there are enough sun loungers to relax. Under the pergola you can eat and have an aperitif even in hot weather. The whole house is lovingly furnished and very clean. We were personally and warmly welcomed and invited for a glass of prosecco by the landlords. This was a great way to start our holiday. The sea and cities like Lucca and Pisa are within short driving distance. And dogs are also allowed on the property. We had a very nice stay and can only highly recommend this location.

We stayed at Villa Alice for 6 weeks in mid June to the end of July and it was a great house to settle into and visit the surrounding area. We hosted some family and friends and it worked out great. We spent many evenings outdoors enjoying the scenery and gardens and we used the grill and pool often. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and we went on many walks up the mountain in the mornings. Maria, Luca and their daughter, are very receptive and kind. The house is very authentic and decorated tastefully. We had a fantastic stay!

We stayed for a week in September 2018 and were very lucky with the weather. We were met by the owners and welcomed with prosecco and homemade biscuits and we had fresh flowers in the bedrooms which was a nice touch. The house was well equipped with everything you need and was like home from home. There are three double bedrooms and one of them had bunk beds, also 2 bathrooms both with walk in showers. The surroundings were so peaceful and perfect if you want to get away from it all. We visited Lucca a lovely walled city, Pisa and Florence which we went to on the train from Lucca. It is about 20 minutes drive from the coast at Viareggio which is well worth a visit with miles of sandy beaches. I would definitely recommend this property and would return again.

We (4 adults and 3 little kids) enjoyed our stay at this house in the end of August. Nice garden, wonderful view and the house itself was also pretty. The owners were very kind. For everything a car is needed. But within approx. 20-30 minutes you are able to reach the sea and cities.

A lovely house set in the Tuscan countryside. The house was spacious and full of character with the bonus of two beautiful walk in showers and well equipped kitchen. The location, surrounded by mountains and olive trees, was perfect and ensured complete tranquillity and privacy. The hosts were very attentive and ensured the pool and house were spotless and any query actioned immediately. A very easy drive into Lucca, a beautiful ancient city with so much to explore and enjoy. Also a well stocked supermarket only a few minutes away with good opening hours. I stayed at Il Platano in September 2014 with a friend. The house is very prettily furnished, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. It was an absolute pleasure to spend a week there, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. The garden and views are wonderful, and for the first time ever I would have been quite happy to spend my holiday relaxing by the pool each day taking in the beautiful scenery. I normally want to explore as much of an area as possible but this place just makes you want to slow down and enjoy what you have right there on your doorstep. I have visited this part of Italy before and there are plenty of places nearby that are well worth dragging yourself away from the house for, but it's a difficult choice when where you are staying is so relaxing and enjoyable. Fresh flowers in the bedrooms on our arrival and gorgeous toiletries left out for us to use were very welcome extras. The hosts were very kind and helpful despite us arriving much later than planned due to delays at the airport. Thankyou Maria Cristina and Luca for a wonderful stay.

We stayed at Il Platano the first week of September 2012.Although we had two days of bad weather we found it to be heaven on earth. The house was much more than we expected it to be. It was fully equipped as if it were our own home away from home. Upstairs there are three bedrooms one bigger with a double and a bunk bed. With a spectacular view of the olive tree valley. The other rooms are a double and a two single bed room. So staying here with six adults is perfectly doable (although it was just the two of us and our dog), especially because there are also two bathrooms. The outside of the house is a bliss, you have 30000sqr meters of land with olive and fruit trees, where we could take a walk, stuff ourselves with fruit and have our dog go nuts. You can have dinner on the sheltered terrace overlooking the hills. What we liked most of our stay here was that it was quiet and secluded and we had the entire premisses all to ourselves. If we must come up with two minor flaws these would be the presence of quite a lot of flying insects (however bug sprays and repellent candles were provided). Secondly because of the hilly location the sun sets around 19u00 in September, after that eating outside was a little cold and mosquito fest-like. The owners, Luca and Christina, who live about 15 minutes away in Lucca, were absolutely wonderful and welcoming people who take pride in delivering a clean house and swimming pool. They don't mind to help you out or give you good advice. Thanks, Luca and Christina, we will probably see you next time. Michelle and Gert

We werden zeer hartelijk en warm ontvangen door de familie. Het huis heeft een super mooie ligging met prachtig uitzicht, een tuin met boomgaard met meerdere zitjes in de zon en in de schaduw en natuurlijk het zwembad voor de echte verkoeling. Het huis zelf vonden wij mooier dan op de foto’s, het is voorzien van alles dat je nodig hebt. Drie smaakvol gerenoveerde badkamers en ruime slaapkamers met oog voor de details, het beddengoed en de accessoires waren zeer goed gekozen. In de keuken was ook alles dat je nodig hebt.

Schönes Anwesen mitten in der Natur. Wunderbar ruhig gelegen. Sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Koch ist super mit allem was man als Selbstversorger benötigt ausgestattet. Supermarkt & Bäckerei im nächstgelegen Ort. Strände in 25 Minuten erreichbar. Lucca in 15 Minuten. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Vermieter erkundigen sich, ob alles passt und sind stets erreichbar. Vielen Dank an Maria Cristina für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und bietet viel Platz, die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Der Garten ist weitläufig und ein toller „Abenteuerspielplatz“ für Kinder. Herrliche Ausblicke in die umliegenden Hügel, Ruhe, Natur, ein Pool, 30 Auto-Minuten ans Meer, 25 nach Lucca und 35 nach Pisa. Tolle Lage, mit der kleinen Einschränkung, dass man für jegliche Einkäufe, selbst Brot, mind. 10 Auto-Minuten fahren muss. Maria und ihr Mann haben uns sehr nett empfangen und waren stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das schönste Ferienhaus, das wir in Italien je hatten. Liebevoll eingerichtet und hinreißend in den Bergen gelegen. Der Pool ist genau richtig groß zum Spielen mit den Kindern und der Außensitzplatz bietet einen tollen Blick. Alles ist sehr gepflegt. Abbiamo passato una settimana a Casa Di Alice. Le indicazioni per raggiungere la località non sono semplice perché molto isolato, ma una volta arrivati si apprezza la tranquillità e pace della casa. Interni molto in ordine, con bagni da poco rinnovati. Alcuni piccoli problemi risolti dal proprietario velocemente. La piscina è spaziosa e funzionale seppur un po’ datata. Casa in generale molto comoda per 6. I posti letto nel soppalco della camera mansardata d’estate sono un po’ sacrificati per il gran caldo.

Wir haben unseren Urlaub (5 Erwachsene) sehr genossen. Für uns das schönste Haus, was wir bisher hatten. Die Begrüßung und "Betreuung" durch Familie Leboffe ist sehr herzlich. Das Haus ist noch schöner, als auf den Fotos rüber kommt. Es ist alles vorhanden, die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet. Super sind die Fliegengitter an den wichtigen Fenstern (Schlafzimmer, Bad und Küche). Dadurch kann man nachts bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Die Ruhe, die das Haus umgibt, ist phantastisch. Wir haben viele Ausflüge gemacht, unsere Zeit im Garten und Pool aber auch sehr genossen. Wir haben noch nicht alles gesehen, was die Toskana zu bieten hat und kommen bestimmt wieder. We stayed in this beautiful holiday home in august 2019. The owners are very friendly, and welcomed us with some Prosecco. Every day we went on an excursion (Pisa, Firenze, 5 Terre, Montecatini, Viareggio, ...). In the late afternoon we relaxed at the pool. Although there were some problems with the pool it was fixed in a day or two. Things happen sometimes... In short : very nice house, with all necessary accomodations, great views, with enough excursions to do in the surroundings (within a range of 50 km - or an hour drive). Greet, Eric and kids
