Amazing residence and window views. Obligatory walk around!
We had an upgrade 🥰
Beautiful interiors and the history.
The 1st night was too cold and the staff made what she could to for it to be cozy - plus blankets, covers and a heater.
Breakfast a bit too plain comparing to others we had in Toscana, lack of that “something” that makes it a nice start.
This stay would be a 10 if not the lady at the reception - I had an impression a bit not welcoming? When we arrived. Also didn’t believe us we don’t have blankets in our room - she needed to check personally to believe… but it may be a personality thing, not sure.
Still the place has a potential to be a whole 10 in every aspect but it’s always about the people managing.

This villa is truly one of the most remarkable places we’ve ever stayed. From what we learned, it’s over 500 years old — yet still perfectly preserved, radiating timeless beauty and character.
Our room was elegant and comfortable, and the shared spaces were equally charming, full of history and quiet grandeur.
We happened to stay during a rainy day, but even then, the atmosphere was magical — the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and simply enjoy the moment.
The restaurant is absolutely worth trying; if we lived nearby, we would dine there often. The cuisine, ambiance, and service are all exceptional.
The only small inconvenience was the room being a bit cold, as heating regulations in Italy do not allow it to be turned on before November 1st. However, the staff were very kind and provided us with an electric heater, which made our stay perfectly comfortable.

A very bad experience. And this review applies to both the property and Booking.com.The building is several centuries old, and the renovation was done in the last century?! Of the shabby chic, only the shabby remains… From the very arrival at the location, it was a bad experience: a dilapidated room and furniture, questionable hygiene, smell of dampness…. Insufficient space for belongings. Lack of hangers, except for those in the wardrobe which had a heavy smell of dampness and age. TV too small, nightstands too small, etc.… Inside the room, a mobile air conditioning unit that, when operating, produces noise of 70db+…On the evening of arrival, there was a party on the ground floor that lasted past midnight, with staff cleaning up after 1 am… During the night, a strong wind was blowing, and it was banging against some metal doors, so throughout the entire night there was an unbearable metal noise. In the morning, breakfast in the basement - which smells terribly of dampness. Such a stench that you don't feel like eating. Breakfast was cold - cold scrambled eggs, hard bread, sour salami, etc. We didn't go to breakfast again.I complained about the noise throughout the entire night and the questionable hygiene in the room and expressed my wish to leave the B&B. The polite staff member didn't have information on whether I would receive a partial refund from Booking.com or not, and Booking.com was not responding throughout our entire stay, so we didn't want to risk losing around €400 + the cost of new accommodation.
Following the complaints, the hotel maintenance ensured they cleaned the room better (removed trash left by previous guests - cream behind the nightstand), changed the bed linen, put out new towels… When booking the hotel, guided by the pictures, the terrace, and having coffee in the sun on the terrace… that is completely non-functional, it seems the terrace is not part of the hotel's amenities, although the pictures on Booking.

Fantastic place. The property has a lot of history, the views are amazing and the restaurant was one of the best in my trip.

It's a wonderful historical estate with beautiful buildings not far from Pisa and Luca. A truly ideal location for our son and daughter in law's wedding.
Particularly noteworthy was the care and attention of the staff who seemingly effortlessly looked after our needs. We had a wonderful time. Truly worth a visit.

Our stay was excellent. Despite being only for one night, the property offers a unique and welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of a private villa. The breakfast was of high quality, and the staff were both polite and attentive. The villa also boasts a charming old-world character, and its interiors are truly amazing, blending historic elements with beautiful design details.
Can't say we didn't like it as it wasn't super hot when we stayed but expect that this is a very old building without installed ACs, instead we had a portable AC unit with an exhaust hose out of the opened window.

The gardens
Everything, poor service, no food or bar as advertised. Bed awful and hard and smallest shower ever seen, and bathroom door didn’t close.Could not wait to leave, simply awful

The beauty and history of the Villa Corliano were astounding. Having the excellent restaurant on site was an added plus. The staff were superb!!!
Nothing. It was perfect.

The location is incredible — like stepping into a movie! Entering the villa and seeing the garden with the palazzo in the background is breathtaking, like a Belle Époque scene, completely alone with no one else around.
The palace itself is fascinating, with a slightly decayed charm, frozen in time.
The main hall has spectacular painted ceilings and period decoration, and the staircase leading to the bedrooms adds to the mystique.
Upon entering our room, the initial fascination faded. The simple wooden door didn’t isolate sound, the mattress was uncomfortable with a sag in the middle, and the walls showed signs of age. The bathroom was small, without a window, and the room had very little natural light, partly blocked by the dehumidifier vent.
Important: the bedrooms do not have air conditioning. The next morning, we admired the main hall, which has beautiful frescoes, but the empty space felt lifeless.
The breakfast was disappointing: served in a small, dark, humid room with an industrial coffee machine and pastries that were inedible. When we requested bread, we received only tiny, hard pieces — far below any breakfast we’ve had elsewhere in Italy. The only positive was being able to eat outside.
It was an interesting experience, but I wouldn’t return due to the lack of comfort.

- spacious room, varied breakfast and delicious, comfy bed, complementary water and sweets in the room, excellent gardens and the villa itself is splendid
- the room could use a reconditioning

Such a special and lovely place to stay, we were in the Presidential suite with beautiful painted ceilings. We could actually see the Leaning Tower in the distance from our bedroom (air conditioning unit extremely welcome) Breakfast served outside (you go inside for the buffet) and it feels like you're on a film set.... stunningly beautiful if you like lovely old gardens and a sense of history and the classy, stylish glamour of an aristocratic bygone age! We paid for a tour with the delightful and charming owner of the villa which was wonderful.
I loved it. Guests should be aware that there are two flights of (20 steps for each flight!) stairs to ascend -no problem for us but may concern others?

The staff members were wonderful to us and to our dog, everything and everybody was welcoming and kind! The room was clean and with the air conditioning we could cool it down easily. The garden is amazing, our dog was loving every meter of it, just like us.
On our very last night there were some drunk guests who were quite loud, but this I guess is just part of the game when the wine is too delicious.

Extremely historical and unique! Wonderful original frescoes and structures everywhere… Peaceful setting, set up against a natural wildlife preserve. Great simple breakfast buffet.
We thought the dinner restaurant was a bit lackluster of fare

Isolated en very quiet location with beautiful architecture and a well maintained garden. The villa has history and the staff is super friendly.
There is no WiFi and bad 4g connection in the room. But this can be a good thing.

Great location for visiting Lucca and Pisa. Stunning historical building set in delightful grounds.
The bathroom is outdated. The internet is non-existent in the rooms and unstable even in reception. The quality of the mattress was poor given the price of the room. The air conditioning unit was too noisy to sleep with it on and the outlet pipe was stuck to the window by tape!

Wow, wow, wow. A romantic dream and such a relaxed atmosphere. This was the highlight of my holidays this year. A beautiful Renaissance Villa, now used as a hotel and venue space but very personal. The romantic beauty of this place with a lot of pastiche of a grand past mixed with absolutely fantastic stuff, that made our stay extra special, you felt like noble people of their grand tour. Extra Highlight: Mary Shelly and Lord Byron stayed in this Villa as well. It was just perfect for us and the young woman who organised the breakfast was a delight. It as a once in a lifetime experience and we will come back.

It was lovely sleeping in such a beautiful castle. Beautiful, clean rooms with everything you need. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic. They let you park in front of the building to unload luggage.
Be sure to ask the receptionist to see the rooms on the main floor - they're gorgeous.
Lots of stairs to get to rooms (it's a castle, after all!), so might be difficult for those with mobility issues.
We loved our family suite, but you need to walk through one bedroom to reach the toilet (at night it could be an issue). They offered a WC not far away on the same floor to avoid waking the others, it was fine.

Breakfast very good---dinner in restaurant excellent
Nobody to greet us---room key did not work---the air conditioning machine was similar to a jet all night and totally ineffective---the bed was from the 1950s---bathroom was tiny and the shower was large enough for a very slim person---overall a very uncomfortable night

Its a beautifull property full of potential
Not really an hotel. Its a private house that mooshines as an airbnb. No one there for check-in, just instructions (and some of them confusing). There is no wifi in the rooms (does't work, tryed everything, staff wasn't helpfull). Breakfast is average. If you wan to sort to be in airbnb with no kitchen, breakfast included, on an extremely peacfull place where you can spend the day seing no one, go ahead. The place is beautifull, but the house needs repairs.

Everything. This place is unbelievable, I still can't believe the price.
Your are in a real Tuscany Villa, it's elegant and quiet.
Then the breakfast outside looking at the gardens with a wonderful assortment.

The Aircon was old and not able to cool down the room. The WiFi was extremely slow

Great location which is set in an amazing setting. The buildings and gardens are fabulous and the staff are very welcoming and helpful.
Location wise it is a 10 min drive to the wall outside of Pisa where you’ll find lots of parking. It is then a 15 min walk to the centre.
If you like a firm bed then this place is also great but for me it was a painful nights sleep.
Also be mindful that it can get very hot and the portable air conditioning machine doesn’t cool the room down well.

For us a family gathering of six in a historic setting being traced back to some centuries the Aura and especially the garden settings were so enticing and packed in modern comfort and enveloped into an old Italian movie setting
We truly enjoyed this of a one time experience and treasured the warm welcome of the staff and its environment
We do recommend it if you are in search of boutique and comfort in a lovely Tuscan countryside
Thank you for this unique and charming gift xperience
Gracias por todo
Please be aware if you book the family suite the attached bedroom of two single beds has no bathroom
Booking should point that out to their /clients and users

Wonderful location with the touch of history and beautiful views. The park with old trees is marvelous. Free parking.
Wi-fi doesn’t work most of the time. It was crucial for our job. And when the network disappeared completely and I texted the host asking for solution I was given the answer that “all Italy has the same problem, you can google”. Honestly, it’s not true.
Cleaning claimed they wouldn’t be able to do their job in 30 min (we asked them, when they came). So we didn’t have cleaning. At 11am or never- strange rule.
Too poor even for typical Italian breakfast.
Check-in is said to be till 7pm. We arrive at 7pm. But all that waited for and welcomed us was the long text with the instructions how to do self-check-in.
We had been at this villa 5 years ago with absolutely different impressions and that time we saw that it had been neglected, unfortunately.

We've been looking forward to getting back to the Villa since our first stay in 2019. It was great to see the Villa again as you come through the gates. It's still as comfortable as before and still the perfect spot to base for Lucca and Pisa.
Three years older and with more luggage doesn't make the stairs any easier. There's very little that can be done with the age and construction of the building but a dumbwaiter would be a nice addition if it were possible.

Our breakfast was substantial and served at the table with a smile. The restaurant had a really good menu, with plenty of freshly cooked choices. It had a really nice atmosphere and in fine weather there was the opportunity to eat and drink outside. Our room was a really good size.
The bathroom was very small, and a solid shower enclosure instead of the shower curtain would have made for a more relaxing shower as the curtain kept blowing inwards and getting in the way!

Amazing building, very well kept villa, nice grounds/gardens and footpaths. Very friendly staff. Restaurant next to the hotel is marvellous, perfect stopover when passing through.
