Dorrians Imperial Hotel

Excellent Hotel filled to bursting with olde world charm and elegance. Upon arrival we were bowled over by the quality of the reception and furnishings - the bedroom did not disappoint it was large and spacious with plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space - bathroom was also large with good lighting. We had dinner in their magnificent dining room - the furnishings drapes and chandeliers made it a stunning and enjoyable experience. It felt like going back in time when dining was not just a meal but a journey of delight - the meal was delicious and exceptional - service and friendliness of staff made us feel part of the family - the owner Mary made us feel very welcome and unstinting in generosity.with her time. This Hotel is unique in the sense that they have time for everyone and should be rightly proud of their hospitality product - the owner Mary pointed us in the direction of their family pub the Thatch just a short five minute walk from the Hotel. We had a very enjoyable evening listening to traditional.music in this thatched pub in immaculate condition . The breakfast the next morning was excellent with all tastes catered for. All in all I would thoroughly and highly recommend a stay in this Hotel dating back to 1781!

In the middle of the town so location great. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast good.

Felt and looked like it stepped out of the 1980’s, everything was tired. No hot water for a shower when I arrived late afternoon. Expensive for what it provides.
