Not as good as our previous experience!

Staff were great. Used to stay in Beach hotel every year until its rooms closed. Then stayed in Downing Bay hotel which is much better

Lovely short stay.

Breakfast was beautiful. Not the usual hustle and bustle of a self serve breakfast. Here we were given menus and our order was taken. No waiting - food arrived promptly with a smile 😃. The room was spacious with a lovely sea view. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Bathroom had a gorgeous large walk in shower with rainfall head. My only suggestion would be to leave guests more shampoo / body washes as whilst away we tend to shower in morning and again in evening before heading out. We didn’t actually eat an evening meal in the hotel but saw what was on offer and the smell was incredible!! Maybe next time ! The location was lovely - albeit a bit quiet during the day. A couple of local pubs were fantastic but exceptionally busy - the bar in the hotel was busy too but cosy and we enjoyed a lovely nightcap beside the fire on Saturday evening.

This is an lovely place to stay with the beach only a few minutes walk away.

This is a beautiful family run Hotel which is currently undergoing some refurbishments. It is very well located being just a 5 minute stroll down to an amazing beach. The room was very welcoming with the smell of a freshly laid carpet as the door opened onto its thick pile. The room was very spacious and decorated with a modern colour scheme which looked really good. The view from the window was breathtaking overlooking Sheephaven Bay. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom had a large ultra modern, dual head walk-in shower, (over 2 m long), with great water pressure. The breakfast is really good offering both local and continental cuisine. Lunch is available from 01:00 pm. The restaurant gets very busy in the evening so it would be advisable to book a table to avoid disappointment. While there are some options available for vegetarians and vegans, they are somewhat limited. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating.

Two nights in a great location

Staff were great, very well located on the main street, comfy beds and rooms, good value. Free parking around the back of the hotel, but open to all so can be busy / hard to get a spot during busy times (festival was on when we were there on a Saturday evening)

breakfast was a bit basic, but fine. bit of noise during the night from the hallways off the bedrooms due to people coming back to their rooms around 1 or 2am, not much the hotel can do about this, but just to be aware we were woken twice during the night due to noisy groups.

Breakfast both mornings was amazing and delicious.

Due to staffing problems, we had a long wait for evening meal, staff where soo busy, but compensated for the long wait, staff are very friendly and explained problems.

short stay. location is best assett as it is 2 mins walk from Downings beach which is excellent

dinner menu didn't have a lot of choice. more pub grub not what what i was expecting even ate in another hotel the folowing night where menu was much more appealing Breakfast was really good satff very attentive and came down with plenty juice tea etc....

Attention to detail by waiting staff. Charged twice for lunch but no issue to rectify it. Another occassion never came back to collect payment for dinner so had to ask off duty receptionist to take payment. Our room carpet needed a freshen up.
