Lovely hotel, great location….get booking.

Friendly reception staff, waiters & bartender in the quirky bar. Didn’t realise this bar existed but lovely open fire & decor.

Main bar staff could be friendlier especially as the night moved on…appreciate dealing with drinkers may not be easy, but it’s the job.

We were attending a family party and the staff managed the group along with all the other guests in the restaurant very well. The room was massive and very comfortable although the shower was very noisy. Breakfast was very good value

We went for my father and his partners birthday weekend and it was perfect. The staff was very helpful. This was our third time staying. We enjoyed our weekend. Such a good location for shops and local bars. Looking forward until next time. Thank you for having us! :)

Easy parking

The untrained staff in reception. Being double booked. Shifted to a far off attic. Being made to open 2 credit lines because of their attitude. Not being allowed to eat in the restaurant even though I had changed my reservation at their request via a phone call from them. I was refused entry into the restaurant for breakfast until I paid upfront. As for breakfast,it was greasy,burnt and gross. That’s why I decided to cut my losses and go home a day early. My wife is bedridden with MS so when I am given a week respite care I like to indulge myself with a bit of luxury.

Lovely stop on our travels

Check in very pleasant. Room was located on 1st floor. Clean and had all amenities that one requires on a night away. Location was good. Staff friendly. We didn't use leisure facilities.

A really good stay at a great location with lovely customer service.

Breakfast was very good. Would be good to have some seeds, nuts and pulses for cereals. the room was very warm but the weather was very warm. The hotel did provide a fan for the room on request. The pool was good, but busy and I was unaware that this was shared between a neighbouring hotel. The staff in all areas of the hotel were so polite, courteous and accommodating. They were the star of the show! Thank you

The communal toilets could be checked more frequently. They were not always as clean as they could be. The bar/lounge seems dated. I feel that there could have been more staff serving and tidying up post meals. I realise that the hotel was busy. The changing rooms were very dated but the hotel did offer good facilities.

Make sure you bring earplugs if you want any sleep

Convenient location, we had a nice meal and enjoyed the music in the bar after.

Didn’t get any sleep!!! People partying loudly until 3.30am downstairs then they all seemed to be staying on the first floor so doors were banging and being knocked loudly as they went from each others rooms for over an hour after that. Definitely don’t stay in room 130…it’s just above the bar area!

Nothing like as bad as we feared when we arrived!!

Breakfast was good, especially scrambled eggs cooked to order and friendly staff Nice new bathroom Generally well appointed bedroom.

The entrance area and corridors are dated and dark and make for a bad first impression It’s a warren of a building and signage could be better - you do first wonder what on earth you’ve arrived at!

Liked the location

We stayed in room 248 and although the appearance of the room was fine we soon found out the noise from overhead was horrendous.There must be a corridor above the room with no insulation to block out people running, walking laughing and "carrying on" until around 3.30am it was impossible to get to to sleep and to pay nearly 205 euro with no breakfast was unacceptable. When I complained the next morning all I got was " I am so sorry " Terrible experience

The staff were very polite and friendly

We booked two rooms for a 50th birthday celebration, one of the rooms whist clean and beautifully decorated had a very strong smell of stagnant water coming from the bathroom. Our friends staying in this room had to use our shower the next morning as the smell was so strong.

Great place to stay staff were really nice. Guinness was lovely. We checked in late and not a bother to have a few points Barman very polite and professional breakfast staff and breakfast were great. The lady checked him was very good and very professional

The hotel itself was superb. The staff, food and attention to detail was outstanding.

The room was too warm and very uncomfortable, although a fan was provided it did not provide much relief.

Mixed message

Lovely service from staff, all very friendly and accommodating. A fan was provided on request, which helped because the room was very warm, the beds and bedding were very comfortable, and lots of extra fluffy towels and pillows we already in the room. The shower water pressure was strong and the temperature was great.

Some of the bathroom tiles were loose and there was a sock left from a previous guest. Even though there was a TV in the room we could only get a about 5 channels to show anything other than a black screen at these modern times there didn't seem to be anyway to utilise my own streaming services through the TV provided. Unfortunately the bedroom window has no safety feature to prevent the window being opened too far we as parents of a young child had concerns about the potential of a child climbing on the bed which was directly adjacent to the the window and falling through not wanting to be overly critical it's still a lovely hotel but considering the price i feel standards should be addressed
