The bed was very comfortable. The view from the window on the hills surrounding Letterkenny very nice.

Saving on personnel, over three days, we met only the cleaning lady. On arrival, the code for the key box hadn't come yet, although there was our name on the keybox.

Avoid this property. We were falsely accused of using cannabis the moment we arrived, before checking in or entering the room. No evidence was provided. The host then cancelled our fully prepaid reservation. Unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. High risk for guests.

This someone is zeroing all good things

A person who deals with check-in, the owner or administrator is just a nightmare! This “person” shouldn't work with people! I booked the second time for my son and his friend, the first time here, the second time in another hostel nearby and “it”was there too! Then she yells at me that the guys were late and didn't come as I indicated when booking (agree, it's hard to know exactly the time when you're coming from another country) Another time it ran into the room at 11 at morning, screaming and kicking the children out. terrible attitude towards guests, terrible service!!! Listen, you misunderstanding, it doesn't matter how much a person paid for their stay - you should treat your guest with respect, ugh.

Good value for the price, but the receptionist’s rude and aggressive behavior made the experience very unpleasant.

Overall, the place was fine for the price. The house itself was clean and matched the expectations.

However, the man at the reception was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of explaining how to find the property, he started shouting, making threats, and then hung up the phone in anger. It was a very unpleasant experience and definitely needs to be addressed.

Good for the price just ran out of toilet paper.

I enjoyed the price and ended up getting a better room then booked. The bed was comfortable, and bathroom was clean. Reccomended for solo travelers who just need a bed to rest in.

I wish they could just stock all the toilet paper in the bathroom rather then just giving u one roll for your stay.

We had to leave and find safer accommodation.

Unsafe. We could not get the key to work, very uncomfortable area for women especially. Do not stay here. When we called to get access to the key the manager was very aggressive in tone and language. He was very difficult to understand. Was mad on the phone and kept hanging up on us.

Short stay

It was clean. You could use the kitchen if you wanted. The room wasn't small. Nice shower. Hot water cooker for tea in the room, with tea bags and stuff. Enough wall sockets. Even a television. And free wifi.😉 It's not too expensive. If needed, yes, I would stay there again.

No towel to dry your hands in the toilet. Lol I arrived in the dark and google Maps didn't help much. So I had to phone your man to get help, which he did. Maybe a picture of the front of the boarding house? Maps showed a pic of the wrong house.

I didn’t like that it was hard to locate and that the other guests were in the shared bathroom for almost an hour in the morning which put me under pressure timing wise and they left hair everywhere in the shower

Ideal for me as I was on a budget.

The bed was comfortable. The room was neat, clean and warm. The shared kitchen and bathroom were spotless. It was very conveniently located, right in the centre of Letterkenny. (Near the library) It was very reasonably priced. I met the cleaner as I was leaving - a pleasant, courteous young man.

Google sent me astray when I was trying to find the property. For that reason, I had difficulty finding it. It’s best to ask for the eircode.

Value for money - Not so friendly staff

Location is very good. Within the town proper. It's straight forward enough. No fuss. value for money. The sitting room appears to be being repaired. There was a table and kitchen, but since it was under construction, it was messy. Someone was using the washing machine in the kitchen/sitting room. It did not bother us as we were just staying for the night. The rooms are basic. We booked on the day, a few hours before we arrived, and that was great. We were hikers and only really needed a night to stay. We were not fussy about accommodations.

While this type of accommodation is quite straightforward and common in most cities in the UK (not much in the Republic of Ireland), it requires that staff must be helpful. As there is no opportunity to interact with staff, etc., and only through phone. They initially sent us WhatsApp messages. One a written instruction and the other a video. I thought this was great, not only do they give you a written instructions on how to access the accommodation (where to get the keys, where to go, and the house rules. Since we booked for two rooms, we assumed we will get all the keys in one place. We got only one key for one room. So I rang the contact person. However, he was annoyed that we have to ring him. He keeps telling me to check my WhatsApp. I said I did. This went on for a few minutes. It took us a while to understand that the written instruction is for one room and the video is for another room. We thought the video was a generic instructions - an example on how to access the accommodation. Why can't they just write an instruction where they put the codes for each separate keys and perhaps a video for the generic instructions. He could even easily say that the written instruction is for one room and the video is for another room. Instead he preferred to be unhelpful on the phone, and kept repeating the question whether we read his WhatsApp message. . He sounded upset to have customers. Would I recommend this place. Nope. Unless you are stuck. While we were not fussy with the state of the accommodation, customer service and the helpfulness of the business owner is what puts us off. For travelers like us, who were unfamiliar with the place, I little kind help would have been great.

It was a confusing stay as my reservation was changed to different location last minute. I came upon some guests who looked like they were being turned away after I arrived at the second location- a bit of panic went through my head but I was given a room. Not ideal but glad the host came through on the booking. The staff I met was helpful towards getting me settled in.

The bedroom itself was fine.

Shared bathroom. Early leave time (worsened by the shared bathroom). Owner was rude when we got there because we booked separately for different rooms and this made her sure we were bringing guests, she was calm after but the initial attitude wasn't great. No mirror (a comment mentioned this before but they said they "forgot" to put it back up, I doubt it if it still isn't up). No signage so finding it was kind of difficult.

Smelly only one word

This particular place that I stayed did not offer breakfast. The room smelled very badly, musty odor and the carpet needed to be replaced ASAP. That did not allow me to sleep I woke up in the morning and left as soon as I could. The bed was somewhat comfortable the shower facilities were decent and the TV was OK but the smell in the room was overpowering and it didn’t leave me with a good experience . I would like to apply for a partial refund.

Change out the bed the bed frame and the carpet and you’ll be going in the right direction.

The central location in the town

It seemed like the place was in the middle of renovations with how unpolished it was, hanging wires, etc. It almost seemed like only the bedroom and bathroom were done up to make it look presentable.
