A beautiful place to get away from it all.
We dined in the Church restaurant and we were stunned by the quality of the food. One of the most delicious meals we’ve had in a very long time!
Breakfast was exceptional. Fabulous service, the staff were very warm and friendly. The quality of the produce used was cooked to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble.
There wasn’t a full offering in the bar and it seemed a little short on staff at times.

Gorgeous property.
It’s absolutely gorgeous! Very comfortable room and delicious breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant was very good.
I think we were just unlucky? There was no hot water when we arrived and I’d been looking forward to having a bath. It took over an hour to get the hot water but then the bath plug didn’t work. The receptionist was very apologetic and we were given a bottle of wine but after walking all day I really had just wanted a bath.

A hidden gem on the outskirts of Letterkenny. Staff were so helpful and friendly. The main hotel building is beautiful and offers a calm experience in luxurious surroundings. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent and I’d say the breakfast is up
there as one of the best I’ve experienced. The room was spacious, well appointed, relaxing and comfortable. What a wonderful hotel experience and one I’d repeat.

No one came near us at breakfast. Had to ask for everything we needed they gave me tea when asked but didn't notice there was no cups or milk then had to ask for them. Asked for toast but came with no butter. Tea was cold . I still be sitting if I was backwards .
Seemed to be hammering early in Sunday morning. Also couldnt pull the curtains and sun light came in the side of the blinds and woke me

Fantastic stay in this beautiful hotel
We had such a great stay in rockhill house. The room was immaculate with home made cookies on arrival. Modern but quirky decor. We enjoyed a lovely meal with a few drinks in the church and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful.

Very poor and over priced.
The outside looked nice the room was fine. I stayed in a suite with a garden view.
The tv wasn’t working no robes in the room. Lovely bath but no bath foam i was told to use the body wash from the shower. Car park was not made clear. Asked what time to come down For breakfast waited 45 mins to be seated. Breakfast was not good. The staff were very polite and tried to fix the issues but all very young and inexperienced. Will never be back.

Very disappointing stay at Rockhill
Beautiful hotel with exceptional grounds. Church restaurant is
fabulous with great service and delicious food.
The breakfast service was extremely poor. We arrived to the breakfast area and were told to wait in the lobby, 10 minutes later we were brought to the library to have breakfast and were the only ones there! Waited 15 minutes before anyone came near us. Brought tea/coffee and toast. Waited another 30 minutes before we were served our hot breakfast, by this time the toast and tea were cold. What was stated on the menu wasn't on the plate! No napkins, sauces or salt. Not impressed at all. It's a shame as the hotel is so beautiful.

Beautiful
Rooms very brightly lit in main house for evening drinks. Not very welcoming. Green tea not available. Got the impression that they struggled with numbers for breakfast on the Sunday morning.

Letterkenny's hidden charm
Rockhill house is just fantastic, this is our 3rd time staying there. From the rooms to the staff to the beautiful breakfast. My husband has stated "it's the best breakfast he has ever had"! The Church restaurant is also amazing. The spa is a little piece of heaven. The house itself is just stunning. We can't wait to return.

Fabulous
Fantastic hotel and what a beautiful location. Conveniently located just outside of Letterkenny. Staff were excellent right throughout our stay from checking in to checking out. So friendly and professional. Stunning and spacious rooms (we were outside in the old stables/courtyard) great facilities and wonderful food…What more could you want for a few days getaway to Donegal! A trip to the spa is a must also, The Wellness spa is up there with one of the best spas I have ever been too! Will be recommending Rockhill House to family and friends who are planning a trip to Donegal. Well worth a stay!

It felt like we stepped back in time when we entered this gracious house
The house and property are gorgeous. The hotel and restaurant staff are pleasant and extremely helpful. The decor in the public areas and bedrooms is elegant and welcoming. The food from the on site restaurant and breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful location with a peaceful atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the spa – it was brilliant. Staff were very friendly throughout the stay. Would definitely recommend!
The shower was disappointing – low water pressure, not very clean, and not ideal after arriving in cold, rainy weather. Also, I booked a suite on the second floor, which was noticeably smaller than the one on the first floor but charged the same price. Clearer information would’ve helped manage expectations.

Has so much potential.
The property is gorgeous! The spa was superb. Landscaping is immaculate. Really beautiful place.
Staff seem a little unsure and dont quite know how to greet guests or what they might need to know without being prompted. The bathtub didnt drain quickly (1hour to drain after a quick shower). The grout around the tub was a little grim and they didnt make up the room during our weekend stay.

Birthday surprise ruined
Nice renovation job of the period house . Aesthetically appealing, comfortable large suites.
From the beginning of our stay we noticed lack of leadership and absolutely no customer service.
In essence this was luxurious b&b but certainly not 5* hotel.
The place is so badly managed to a point where it becomes annoying, and instead spending time to relax and enjoy ,you are chasing(constantly asking for)things which should be provided without question in this type of establishment and at this price range.
They claim to be 5* but no room has been attended by the maid neither towels changed during our stay.We had to ask for the towels every day. Room was full of dust and poorly cleaned to start with.
Spa comes at extra charge(which is fine)but it's limited to 90minutes ,and if you want extra time they want to charge more than double price.
There is no more than 11 tables in restaurant where the breakfast is served of which only 8 were occupied during the breakfast time, but we waited for 1hr to be served breakfast after we made an order. We didn't bother coming next morning.
There is no restaurant on site and the management relies on restaurant outside of the property boundaries to serve food for the patrons.
Although the food was fine in the Church restaurant we didn't come all the way to Letterkeny because of the Church restaurant. If I wanted to try new restaurant I would have much greater choice in Dublin, and wouldn't travel all the way to Letterkeny. We came to stay, relax and dine in the old house and not in the metal shed in the middle of nowhere, which essentially this restaurant is.
None of the lounge rooms in the hotel are attended by the waiting staff,no drink or food menus on the tables. We managed to flag someone down to bring 3 rounds of drinks for us,and imagine they didn't have it in the hotel bar ,they had to bring it all the way from the above mentioned restaurant.I never seen anything like it.
It was comical and sad at the same time, but waiting times most certainly were not funny.

Very dissapointed
The property was unbelievable itself absolutely gorgeous
The lack of cleanliness no fresh towels, 1 toilet roll. Dirty dishes left in our room.
Waited an hour 15mins for breakfast for it to arrive and was burnt and disgusting we walked out and didnt go for our second morning.
Read on the website about a cheese cellar asked about it to be told it closed in 2022. But yet still advertised.
Was advertised about bike rental whe booking to be told they no longer do that.
Being limited to 90min in the spa.. joke no where near enough time.
Was more like a b&b than a luxury stay in an estate

Beautiful setting, spa amazing, housekeeping needs a lot of work
The house was stunning and the staff here could not be more helpful and lovely. The spa facilities were great and my treatment was amazing.
There were a few things however that really let down our stay here.
After the spa we went to afternoon tea which was really nice. It was very quiet and which was fine however some background music would have made the experience just a little better. There was also no drinks menu available so drink options were limited. The food was really nice.
We stayed in the main house, we had a suite and junior suite booked. When we went the the rooms there was a problem with the suite as there was a trap door in the bathroom ceiling which was opened and unfortunately couldn’t be closed. The hotel moved us rooms and the second room was beautiful. However when we used the shower the bathroom completely flooded and we had to use all the towels to clean it up.
The junior suite was unfortunately not serviced properly and there were a lot of hairs all over the floor. They quickly cleaned this however not long after when we were getting ready for dinner we noticed door crumbs and toenail clippings on the carpet, the staff member had to come back to the room to hoover it.
We then went to dinner and the food and restaurant, the church, was really nice and service was as quick but not rushed.
We had a great table and my husband and his family were coming down the next day for dinner. I asked the manager if they could have the same table as us and I was told it was no problem however the next day they were seated at the back of the restaurant which was not as nice.
The next morning I went for a treatment in the spa and it was amazing. The rest of my family went to breakfast. The breakfast was unfortunately not great. They forgot my mums and everyone had finished by the time she received hers. She asked for hard boiled poached eggs however they were barely cooked and the sausages were raw, the table beside them so complained that theirs were also raw.
