great staff , great views and very comfortable
Reception staff were excellent on arrival and departure view from the room was superb , View at breakfast again was excellent . Thought the dinner menu was a little limited but it was a wet Monday night in November and hotel wasn't that busy .What i chose was spot on and the service was good . The lights in the dining room are very bright and white which made it feel a bit cold . Could do with a plan of the hotel in the information folder to show where everything was . I knew there was a pool but didnt know where . Well if all i have to complain about is the colour of the white lights !! all in all a great stay and hope to come back in the summer

Top class hotel and facilities. Highly recommend to all types of travellers.
It’s set is a beautiful bay on the Atlantic Ocean and the facilities are second to none. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. We stayed in a junior suite and the room was enormous and very well equipped with two very large TVs and a fantastic view. The gym is brilliant and the spa and indoor pool are so relaxing. If you want to just get away from it all and have no distraction just great food and fabulous scenery then this is the place to be. It was our second visit and we will be back again next year all being well.
Nothing, it’s a fabulous hotel.

Wouldn’t go again
The location is nice
The noise in the room was awful, I could hear every conversation and door opening and closing in the hallway so therefore was unable to sleep, the room was €320 for the night, no view out the window just a wall of grass. Was not worth the money at all.

Loved the location, enjoyed the facilities and would recommend it.
Breakfast was excellent as was evening meal. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly and room was very clean.
The only negative was the radiator in our room didn’t appear to be working and, while we did politely report it twice, it wasn’t sorted so room was a little chilly in the evenings.

Massive disappointment
Room wasnt clean, and how they dealt with my issues was beyond poor. They acknowledged the very clear poor cleanliness, yet offered nothing as am apology.
The room smelled awful, the floor sofa bed were all veey obviously dirty. There were footprints on each and everyone of the chairs

Disappointed
Beautiful location, and a beautiful hotel, room’s are lovely.
Pool was closed for 3 hours on a Sunday for children’s private swimming lessons and could not be used during that time; apparently it’s in the small print somewhere. I’d specifically emailed reception to ask if we could use the pool at that time, and was told yes, we could. As we were only staying one night and it was the only time that suited us to use it, it meant we couldn’t use it. We were told we were still able to use the steam and sauna, not the jacuzzi, but the noise from the kids lessons and the fact that the changing rooms were rammed with kids and parents dressing for lessons made for a pretty unrelaxing environment, a real shame, it was the main reason we chose to stay here. It’s one of the main reasons spa hotels charge a lot more to stay, especially at weekends. I checked the price of the rooms midweek to compare, and it was almost half what we paid to stay at the weekend, yet when staying at the weekend the facilities are limited due to private swimming lessons? I don’t think this is fair on paying residents or good value for money. It’s either a spa hotel or it’s not. I feel the owners are trying to be all things to everyone in an effort to make as much money as they can and the result is disappointing for customers who’ve paid a lot to stay there.

Great breakfast and the view was lovely from the room
Was just a bit quiet in the evenings no entertainment and the restaurant and bar upstairs wasn't open

Chilled & relaxed but didn’t fell comfortable in the room.
Brilliant location & lovely staff. Hotel was the sort of environment we were looking for - chilled and relaxed.
Rooms were very standard for 4 star hotel. In the room I found mold behind the curtain and below the window. This not only is a cleaning issue but also a health & safety issue.
I raised this to the reception staff but there was no manager on site to resolve the issue.
The room was also not throughly cleaned. Crumbs on the chair and other peoples belongings still there.
I am disappointed as I was recommended by a few people to stay here.

An OK stay but we expected more.
Breakfast was excellent.
The restaurant was never open and dinner was served in the bar. This made it difficult for people who just wanted a drink, as all the tables with the lovely views were taken by diners.
Little issues like loose towel rails, confusing external signage and poorly trained staff took the icing off the cake.

Great location & great staff. Nial at breakfast was always helpful.
A small fridge in the room should be provided. Our shower pressure on the 3rd floor wasn’t the best. Maybe needs a pump. Also, no need for caps to be worn in the pool.

Stunning views and beautiful room
The location took our breath away. With the good weather it is really a special location. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained and modern. The pool is small but fabulous and beautifully kept. Staff were lovely and the proximity to one of the most gorgeous beaches we’ve seen just added to the experience.
Nothing really.

Great location, friendly staff, good quality food, just lacking the high end finish on some aspects.
Great location. Modern feel.
Neither the Marbles Restaurant or Jonjo’s bar where open which was extremely poor considering it was a Sunday night stopover, the hotel was busy and people were being turned away from the beats bar and being asked to come back later for food leaving them the lobby area to wait. The lobby does not have a bar so you still had to go into the beats bar, order a drink and then carry it out to the lobby and wait for a table to become available. Yes the recommend booking a table but if you were late in arriving the majority of bookings would have gone. Also the portion sizes in the beats bar were rather meagre. Couldn’t fault the quality of the food just wanted and needed more. Finally as a Gluten Free eater there are no desserts available. Again that poor in this day and age.

Lovely location, accessible room was excellent and view from room exceptional.
Breakfast was good plenty of variety
The meal in the Bar restaurant was average. I ordered Cod with tomato sauce on the side. The Cod was very small and needed to be covered by the sauce to make it look an acceptable meal. Only for the dish of champ I would have been Hungary. Not good value at €27.

what can you not love or like about this property? It was absolutely beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly. Our room was magnificent very comfortable and the view was beautiful. Getting to look out at the countryside and seeing the Atlantic ocean all at one time.
There was absolutely nothing you could say negatively about this place.
5.0 / 10.0
Adequate, but for £245 sterling for bed and breakfast way overpriced
The room was large with lovely views sadly let down by very small bathroom that we struggled to use. Carpet didn’t appear to be that clean, no fridge which you would expect given very high nightly cost.
Didn’t eat in the bar as it was way overpriced for basic food like a bowl of soup or burger. Restaurant not open even though it was high season and hotel seemed full of Residents!
Breakfast was cold and food unappealing we choose to eat out in Dunfanaghy.
Used the pool and leisure facility very very noisy with families and children as was the bar area later in the evening
Wouldn’t recommend this hotel for mature retired couples who want a nice break with good food and wine and a leisurely swim and happy to pay restaurant prices.
Very much a family hotel with lots of children and young babies and it would be useful if this was clearly stated.
No plans for a return visit, but views were lovely.

We had a really lovely, peaceful stay and would definitely come back!
Firstly the location! We had a view overlooking the sea and it was stunning! We were able to lie in bed and watch the sunrise! We used the leisure centre pool/steam/sauna and ate in the restaurant. We had a triple room and it was a great size with one double bed and two singles with plenty of room! The room had everything we needed, robes/slippers, iron/ironing board, safe, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities etc.
