Too short, wish we’d had longer to enjoy the Mill.

The Mill is like a home away from home, full of old world charm. It’s in a beautiful location with views of New Lake and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The breakfasts were absolutely superb, with an incredible choice on offer, which surpassed anything else we experienced during our holiday in Ireland.

We just wish that the Mill served dinners, then we wouldn’t have needed to go out to eat!

A little haven.

Beautiful peaceful little retreat. Friendly owner and lovely breakfasts. Comfortable room with a view of stunning Muckish mountain. Gorgeous beaches nearby and a perfect bathing spot at Portnablagh harbour, where locals swim every day at 11am.

Not a huge choice of places for evening meals, but the Oyster Bar in town does a superb bar meal.

This Inn is very special, with very comfortable room and terrific breakfasts.

Location of the Mill is exceptional, wonderful view of New Lake. The garden was gorgeous. Susan is an extraordinary host and made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was so plentiful and delicious! We had a very relaxing stay and were very sorry to leave.

Exiting the driveway was a little scary - a little hard to see past some shrubs.

Wonderful stay at The Mill.

The Mill is situated in a tranquil setting overlooking a lake roughly one km from Dunfanaghy . Our host was always available without being intrusive. The bedroom was well furnished and comfortable with a well equipped ensuite. The breakfasts were delicious with a vaste choice of menu.

lovely quiet place close to some of the most beautiful areas along the Wild Atlantic Way of Ireland

Beautiful B&B along the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland. Susan and Derrick were excellent hosts and were able to accommodate us an extra night after unforeseen circumstances. Breakfast was fantastic and our room was very comfortable. We hope to return again to this beautiful area.

Absolutely loved The Mill and Dunfanaghy - a great little place and superb location for exploring Donegal. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Superb breakfast, adapted for our individual requests ! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting this area. We loved it !

Of our tour along the coast from Belfast to Galway this was our favourite stop. A beautiful facility and location. Sue was lovely host and looked after us. The breakfast was superb and the room beautiful.

This was just what we needed. A very memorable place and stay.

Good selection of hot and cold breakfast available and all beautifully presented in a very characterful dining room with a super view of the garden and lake beyond. It was a very peaceful and relaxed eating experience with Susan as a congenial hostess. Honesty fridge for guests and tea/coffee facilities in conservatory and in rooms were welcome. Bedroom was very comfortable with ensuite facility. There was a boutique feel to the Mill which had been beautifully restored with a very interesting history.

Very nice B&B with an old time feel.

The room was very much typical higher end B&B; nice furnishings, if a bit dated, but that was the vibe. There's no place to sit in the room itself, but the downstairs has ample seating and even if there are other guests around, they are often not visible so you can be as private as you want to be. Breakfast was superb. Susan really lays out a great breakfast, cooked to order. Heavy on Irish Breakfast, which is too much food for me in the morning, but she was able to cut down the portions so that I didn't feel guilty leaving a lot of food uneaten. I'd say the breakfast ranks among the best at any hotel or B&B I've had in the last 5 years.

There was nothing I didn't like. I suppose it could be closer to town, but we had no problem finding parking in town when we went to eat dinner, so in the end the location was just fine. It's right on the water, and the views are quite pretty.

I will be back!

I requested an earlier breakfast each morning because of golfing commitments and the hosts were so accommodating and cooked a delicious breakfast each morning earlier than usual. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was cosy and had beautiful views over the lake, the breakfast was delicious, the hosts were brilliant and it was certainly good value for money.

That I couldn’t stay longer!

Good location in quiet area but still need a car to get into town especially if raining. Host was very attentive, breakfast was first class. Cleanliness was first class. Small bottle of procecco in room on arrival.

The shower was over the bath. Price was on higher side.
