Let me just keep it real. This place is not what it is advertised as. When we arrived the door was locked with a number to call. Call the number and the owner did not seem to know that we were coming, despite having booked online a week in advance. So we sit out in the freezing cold for 15 minutes while he drives to the property. Once inside we realized this is a sad place. It is an old manor building that has not been fully restored or cleaned. Used towels and glasses litter the stairways and common areas. The smoke detectors were falling off the ceiling and were tucked behind a curtain. In our room, it was obvious that the place had not been fully cleaned. The floors were dusty and filthy, the trash had not been taken out, and the towels were crunchy, gross. Proprietor/owner, for some dumb reason, doesent take payment through booking.com. After showing us to our room and leaving us, he shows up an hour later knocking on our door, waking me up from a nap, demanding we pay him right then and there. I have to pay him in my underwear as he was being so pushy and I just wanted him gone. Never saw him again after that, obviously he didint bother checking in with us, seems to care about nothing apart from the €€€. Last minor point and a word of advice to the owner: use some of the money you get to put some art on the walls, the place looks barren and empty, completely soulless. We left as soon as we could. Do not stay here this place should be removed from all recommendations lists.

I liked the location

On arrival the person who met me did not work there and was not sure which room I was meant to stay in. The pictures on the site do not reflect accurately the place. In my bin there were empty beer cans and the shower room is really cramped and small. The shower was luke warm . When I went down for breakfast ,when I was in a very sad place as I was commemorating the loss of a dear one, who died on Christmas day, the owner commented on how I was dressed and was persistent in making conversation about where I was going and where I am from. It was totally inappropriate. The breakfast was so basic and I would expect having paid 150 euros a cooked breakfast would have been reasonable . Overall I found the stay really poor and I think the boundaries of the gentleman running this establishment needs to be addressed. When I told him about the empty beer cans, he said sorry but did not seem to take the matter seriously. I would not recommend this guest house.

We had a private entrance, the room is large and comfortable! I was very happy and enjoyed it very much!

It's true that John gives you the option of breakfast, but where I stayed we had everything except cooking facilities. It would be great to have an air fryer or something like that so we could cook in the same place! But anyway, it's not a big deal!

The room was amazing and had everything we needed and more. The location was central with secure parking.

Room was very nice warm and cozy, we traveled up from Derry just for a night off from the kids. Staff were lovely, room was lovely.

The landlord, John was very helpful and I needed his assistance to jump start my car on two occasions, I can't thank him enough. The room and facilities were excellent the price was very competitive.

A cooked breakfast wasn't provided, but when one considers the cost to stay, that's the least of my worries.

Lovely house in a great location.
