Awful. Stay somewhere else if you are visiting Letterkenny.

I have nothing positive to say.

This place is like faulty towers without any of the laughs. The bathroom door jammed. The latch looked old and worn. Thankfully it jammed when I was outside otherwise I would have got stuck. I managed to put my shoulder to it and get it open. A staff member also showed up at my door to check the heating but it was obviously another room that had called to say it wasn’t working. The guests next door set off the fire alarm. There was a smell of smoke in the hallway so that explains that. This woke me around 10:30pm. The noise continued on and on from one of them knocking on their door to get in but I’m pretty sure there was no one in his room. I put my AirPods in and I could still hear it. At one stage I thought there was going to be a domestic incident they were screaming at each other that loudly and aggressively. I called reception but there was no answer. I went down to reception and there was no one there, just a phone and a note to call a number for assistance. I called twice and that phone and no answer. Finally, I found someone but it was about 1am at this stage probably later. How this can continue on and no regard for guests or their comfort is beyond me. I was home to visit my family for the first time in months and I cut the trip short because I had no sleep and no comfort. I’ve asked for my money back for the Friday night and checked out early so two nights. I was told I would get my money back from booking.com for one night but basically just fobbed off. Offered €150, which is not two nights and now no contact from the property since. Apparently it’s €165 to stay in Letterkenny on a Thursday night. Stay somewhere else because this place is full of bad staff and drunken guests and you pay the price for their bad behaviour.

Great hotel, great location, clean and tidy, but very cold and we were freezing the whole night.

Reasonably priced, lovely clean room.

We were freezing cold all night no heating came on as I felt the radiator many times during the night, we even looked about to see if we could adjust it anyway but couldn’t. This was the only negative from our stay that we were absolutely freezing all night.

Mount Errigal

I've stayed here before a few years ago, we went this time for a concert. Food is good an all prices are very reasonable.

Few things to be honest, rooms are very small but nice. The lay put of the room for the concert was terrible, just rows an rows of chairs, not tables to set your drink on ect it looked more like a cinema. The WORST thing of all, the bar staff, there was no oder, it was chaos. Took forever to get a drink, they need a lot more experienced bar staff. It would put me off going back for another event..

Very comfortable hotel, close to main area of Letterkenny.

I have stayed here a few times, the renovation work in the hotel is amazing, the reception area looks wonderful, great refurbishment there as well as other areas of the hotel. Reception staff, very welcoming, check in made easy. We were allocated a lovely spacious room. Tea/coffee facilities, plenty of pillows, very comfortable beds. Ensuite facilities are good, plenty of toiletries too. We ate in the bar for an evening meal, very nice. There is another restaurant too. There's a health club (swimming pool, sauna and gym too.) Plenty of parking space. Would recommend this hotel.

In room 212, dust found on top of mirror. Didn’t look like it was clean for a while. Also on top of the shower head, covered in dust. Room wasn’t the cleanest.

A pleasant stay overall, with great staff and breakfast, but the rooms could use some modern updates

The staff were amazing, always friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options and generous portions. I also really liked the renovated restaurant area and the new lounge-reception, which give the hotel a much fresher and more modern feel.

The rooms definitely need a revamp. They feel outdated and would really benefit from direct USB and USB-C charging ports, especially since many guests are here for conferences. Cleanliness could be improved too, finding a big spider on my pillow was not exactly a nice surprise.

Don't book this hotel - horrific experience, i've no idea how this hotel masquerades as a 4 star

The singer in the pub on Saturday night

You'll receive an email just after your free cancellation has expired which will inform you the hotel will be noisy with events and construction work. They won't let you cancel if this is not what you want. They will then lie and tell you that there will be no construction work. They'll serve underage kids copius ammounts of alcohol and allow them to run up and down the corridor outside your room all night while you're trying to sleep on your uncomfy bed. Next morning at 09:10 opposite the office with the cleaners puke still on the carpet. half the power sockets in the room not working including the only one the TV can reach, outside the window you'll get a view of weeds that look like they've been growing for years, broken pot plants and rusty extractor. Staff in the bar / restaurant slow and not interested (didn't know if the burger came with fries or had to be ordered seperately). burger arrived pink (which might be ok if the meat was ground onsite but seemed unlikely considering it tasted so bland)

A very nice hotel for a break in the Donegal area.

The staff were very nice. The breakfast was excellent. The bar has a good menu and we liked the health club very much indeed. There is plenty of parking. I would recommend the hotel and it is the second time we have stayed here.

We initially got allocated a double room which was the size of a single room with a double bed squeezed in to an alcove. We had paid €110 per night for four nights for room only (room 305) - so we were disappointed.. We did get moved to a big room (room 112) after speaking to reception. So it all ended well.

Communal areas - excellent

Had to change rooms because of an awful smell, the corridors were extremely noisy until after 2am. Cleaners were on the floor making noise at 8am on a Saturday. Not a great experience, paid extra for breakfast, breakfast was very poor, lack of basics like butter, cups, sauces - under staffed.

Dinner was average as double cooked chips were hard and not pleasant but everything else was acceptable. Entertainment at night in bar was fabulous and great atmosphere. Staff serving dinner were super and very attentive. Breakfast was lovely in the morning.

It was a horrible stay

It was close to the venue the conference I was attending was.

The hotel is outdated. The room was extremely small, had a very dirty carpet, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The hotel is rated as 4 star, but 2 star would be a more accurate rating. The staff at the dinner restaurant were unfriendly, the bar staff outright walked past me and ignored me. I literally had to follow them around to place an order. The hotel is outrageously overpriced for what it looks like and what it is grossly lacking in. The photos on the website are not an accurate representation of what the hotel is really like.

Comfortable beds in a good location, but room for improvement.

The window in our room was broken and we were at the front of the hotel. So we got no sleep on the first night. Also I have coeliac disease and there were very few breakfast options. There was a slice of bread in the bacon at the buffet. This may be done on purpose but it’s a health hazard for those of us with coeliac disease. Also, my parent’s bed was tiny, that could have been clearer in the booking process. We all booked standard double rooms but some were bigger than others. There was one waitress working the night we had dinner in the hotel. She was lovely, very bubbly and helpful but because she was on her own, our dinner took 2 hours and 45 minutes!!

Given the price and location, it was a fairly deal

It’s nice and spacious, parking was right at the front.

We parked right at the entry and after going up 2 flights of stairs, found it was the wrong end, better signage would have solved the problem. Our main concern was the towels, my mother is particularly sensitive to odor and she said she felt the towels are either still damp when stored or not changed after the last guest.

Although hotel is basically close to everything, the room I didn't get what I booked for I got a double room with 2 beds enough for 4 although we were 2 and the room didn't look like the pictures online, the property is old but beautiful they did say they busy with renovations which is acceptable, there were some noise but no bother for me, others might, dinner and breakfast was so good, but I felt like staying in a hotel if I ask for water and some ice for the room don't tell me you have to charge me a €5 per person for that, some staff was brilliant but some were just not that friendly.but don't get me wrong still good for money but dont expect 5star

First impression was very poor arriving to smokers gathered in your main entrance was absolutely terrible. Poor customer service upon arrival with poor direction of how to find our room and no assistance with finding a trolley for baggage. No mention there was a lift which would have been helpful. Rooms were very noisy with banging doors and hearing guests on above floors. Very disappointed in this accommodation - definitely not worth the money.

I was attending my brothers wedding. Yes I am one of the many guest who where coeliac /gluten dairy intolerant, any chefs nightmare. I have to say I got a fabulous meal starter main and desert and it wasn't all fruit sald. Maybe consider us when you are serving the buffets aswell when arriving and the night time as there was no food for us.

I was there for a wedding on 12th july, the heat was brutal in the room the wedding was in and I feel like they could at least open doors to let some kind of breeze come through. The bedroom I got was the old style so there was no air-conditioning, though my brother did get a room with air-conditioning...I do realise it takes time to renew all rooms, so hopefully my next stay will be better.

Great for resting while visiting Donegal. Staff are fab, room was clean and the food was delicious.

Room was very clean, bit small but it was ideal for just using as somewhere to sleep while exploring Donegal. The pool was lovely, really nice to be able to get in for a swim after a day of sightseeing.

There was no complementary drinking water in the room which for a 4 star hotel we thought a bit odd. The mattress while comfortable was still a bit hard but nothing to really complain about.

Very Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Hotel very clean and well presented. Spa amazing especially the ice bath. Room was space and well maintained.

The mattress wasn't very comfortable. Staff said at check out we were in their basic room. At that price it was an expensive basic. The room was spaceous but layout meant left Bed very close to the bedroom door so could hear noise from hallway
