Breakfast and service was poor. Costly and not good value. Receptionist was serving me then left to tend to another guest and completely left me there for five minutes and no reason or why. Very poor

Bad draft from window although it was closed. Terrible parking options, the lamp in my room didn’t work and the hot and cold indicators were wrong way round on the sink - very dangerous.

Very enjoyable stay. Friendly staff. Very clean. Underground parking was a real benefit.

Everything was really clean. Asked for a quiet room near a lift because of our age and mobility. Got a room right beside the lift. Bar was full of Christmas party goers but we didn’t have any unwanted noise. Breakfast on both morning was excellent, especially the scrambled eggs.

My fault really. I turned the tap on the bathroom sink up high and the water pressure was so strong that everything got soaked.

I booked Bed only. Check in was smooth, receptionist was pleasant. Room/bathroom was really clean, lovely shower. I had a room at the back, and it wasn't noisy at all. I had a great sleep. I stayed on a Friday night on the 12th of December.

Good value city hotel

The rooms were comfortable, and the hotel is in the middle of town, so walking distance everything.

Parking is accessed from the rear and continues around the side and down to some undercover bays. It obviously got really busy by the time we left as cars were double parked, and a truck was having an awful time getting in and out making its delivery (we had to be patient as we couldn't go anywhere for a while). The lift from the undercover carpark does not access all floors, so we found ourselves walking up and down the hallway using multiple sets of lifts just to get to and from our floor.

Great Location. Strange food/drink rules.

Location was great, rooms were very nice and beds were comfortable.

The rules around food and beverages being brought into the hotel were off putting. Signs in the car park stated that any alcohol brought into the hotel will be confiscated if not purchased on site, and signs about not being allowed to bring outside food to eat in the room are crazy. I've never been in another hotel with these rules. Would have rated a lot a higher expect for these weird rules.

Expensive for what we got

Position and great car parking

We had booked 2 rooms,our room had a fault on light switches,if we had the bathroom lights on the bedroom lights went off and vice versa, enamel on the bath was coming off and the bath was showing signs of rust.Because we had arrived late we complained to the receptionist in the morning they did offer to change our room,but as we had a day out booked we didn’t have time,we were only staying 2- nights. I did ask if they would maybe offer us something like a bottle of wine as compensation but there was no response..The other room our friends stayed in had the outlook to a blank wall approximately 2- metres from their window making the room dark. Not very good accommodation for the price.

Overall, we had a lovely stay and we were located well to explore a good part of Donegal.

The bar /restaurant was very good, enjoyed the live music, and the evening menu was very good, I particularly enjoyed the fish! The wine selection could be better.

The buffet breakfast was average. Get there early if you like your food to be hot! There is a strange rule whereby you are fined if you bring your own alcohol to your room!?

Nightmare from noise of neighbours next door & staff arguing with what appeared to be other room members

We were kept awake by people in next room, a staff member was heard to chap their door & said they would phone the guards at around 12.30am, the noise continued to around 6.30am, doors banging over the night & noise bad, we phoned reception to complain, it continued

Reception staff

Wash hand basin in room kept filling with water. Reception got someone to look at it. It kept happening but we didnt report it again. We just used bath taps instead. The same thing happened on our last stay in same room so obviously there is an ongoing problem that needs looked at.

Fab hotel right in the centre of Letterkenny. Great room, lovely staff and adjoins The Warehouse Bar

I stayed for 4 nights during the Letterkenny Blues Festival. The staff were so lovely. My room was beautiful and quiet, a good size and the bed was very comfy. I loved having The Warehouse next door..again excellent staff (all of them!) Great place to meet friends, food and drinks were fab. Has a car park! Conveniently right in the centre of the town. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend; McGettigans will be my first choice when I return to Letterkenny. Thanks guys!!

Great accommodation shame about the town.

Great location in the centre of the town, but room at the rear was nice and quiet. Room was spacious and pretty well appointed. On site and free parking. Informative, helpful and friendly staff - they were all lovely. Enjoyed a substantial and tasty breakfast.

No adverse comments about the accommodation, but the traffic jams were extraordinary (and legendary apparently) considering the size of the town, and there were few decent eateries in Letterkenny. Whilst accepting the adage "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", we were less than enamoured with Letterkenny itself. We wouldn't rush back there.

Acceptable hotel in the heart of Letterkenny.

Lovely reception staff, acceptable breakfast options.

Navigating from the rear carpark to reception was challenging as you need to take the lift to floor 1, walk across various corridors to access the 2nd lift to floor 0. No bath robes or slippers. No smart TV not any WIFI in the rooms. Flush in the bathroom kept running, resolved by flushing multiple times. An argument broke out between staff at breakfast which was unprofessional.

Two single beds pushed together does not make a comfortable double and someone should check the position of the toilet in room218 it’s almost impossible to sit comfortably if you are taller than 5’-10”
