Lovely hotel with friendly staff

2nd time I’ve been at the Clanree and the reason we returned was that the entertainment was great Saturday and Sunday. However, most weekends now seem to be Country Music themed weekends and if you fancy that type of music it’s slightly disappointing. So much so that we had to get a taxi into letterkenny town for entertainment.

Very good overall!

Very friendly staff, room was clean and well presented. Warm and cosy. Easy parking and nice facilities in the room. Bar and restaurant were brilliant.

Pool and changing area could have been much cleaner. The sauna under the heater looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Changing rooms had strong smell of urine in male and female, however next morning they were very clean so must have been only one night it was below standard.

Lot to improve

Was clean and maintained well

There was a shared wall with another room and a locked door. Guests in another room were talking so loud for the whole night and didn't even get the sleep properly. There was no drinking water inside the room which was surprising. There was no iron box too

Amazing stay can't wait to go back

The staff were amazing especially the amazing lady with red hair who did breakfast both days(don't know her name so sorry) she made use feel so welcome and relaxed. The beds were super comfortable and spotless. As our first trip as family of four it was amazing, we will be back. The pool was lovely and facilities spotless

We had a very disappointing stay. We paid extra for a family room to accommodate three adults, yet on arrival were charged again and later told the booking was only for two adults, despite Booking.com suggesting this option. To make matters worse, the shower in our room did not work for the first two days of our stay, meaning we couldn’t shower at all. Instead of resolving this immediately, we were only told after two days that we needed to change rooms, which made no sense given the inconvenience already caused. The only compensation offered was a small box of chocolates, which was completely inadequate. On top of this, the manager was confrontational rather than helpful. Overall, very poor service, misleading booking experience, and not worth the money paid.

Room and public areas were great. Added value to my stay.

Minor point. Curtains didn't block all the light at the edges. Major well lit road outside so if you can't sleep with light ingress, use a mask. For me it wasn't an issue

The breakfast was very nice. The location is good and the swimming pools are nice

The whole hotel needs a revamp. The carpet smells a little bit and the floors are sticky. The rooms are outdated, furniture damaged and mould growing around the windows. No water in the rooms and a strict 9pm cut off for dinner /room service even on bank holiday weekend. We left disappointed unfortunately

Being allowed the use of the pool and the fitness suite was amazing. Staff were so helpful and really pleasant. Parking was excellent.

The heating was a little stifling at night. Was unable to adjust the thermostat even though it worked fine during the day. Was very strange. Cleaners were also a little noisy in the morning. Banging doors and hoovering before 8am.

A very nice hotel, ideally located, great food and excellent 'spa'.

Breakfast was sufficient by way of choice and quantities. The staff were very efficient. We had two evening meals in the hotel and both were very good indeed. The service was fast and the food was hot, well presented and very tasty. The rooms were warm, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for a bath or shower. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were very enjoyable. The Steam room and sauna are small but sufficient. The 20 meter swimming pool was very refreshing.

There was no individual fresh fruit at breakfast. There were bowls of mandarin segments, prunes and berry compote but no apples, pears or bananas - I realise that I am being very 'picky' with this comment but my wife likes to add fresh banana slices to her fruit and yoghurt!

The walls were very thin, you could hear everything. How expensive it was and that it didn’t include breakfast for the high price we paid. The sheets on the beds were very noisy

Rooms were lovely plenty of coffee tea biscuits pillows and bed so comfy ☺️😀 breakfast lots of choices porridge great fry plenty of fruit and choice for people from different countries will come back we have been here before and it's getting better every time great location close to letterkenny beautiful beaches and also has great county and western nights with accommodation lovely pool same depth across pool making it safe if u not a great swimmer checkout is eleven giving u plenty of time to enjoy breakfast before heading home
