It was a great place to stay to visit Donegal the next day.
The room was spacious and clean. There was no breakfast meal offered, but the hotel staff offered several recommendations, and some fresh fruit to enjoy on the drive to breakfast. He was a very pleasant man and I enjoyed my conversation with him prior to checking out.

Friendly staff, very helpfull and patient, lovely room
A bit far from town

Very friendly, comfortable and clean - a short drive to the town.
The room was exceptional. Very quiet despite fronting on to the main road. The bed was enormous and everything was very comfortable and clean.
Not the hotel's fault at all but turning right off the N15 was a bit hairy in the dark for a non Irish driver.

Very comfy relaxing stay
I loved my Room No. 32 as was a great size & had everything I needed & the bed was very comfortable & even it was at the front of the house I couldn't hear any traffic & I could come & go to & from the house freely.
There is nothing I didn't like.

Needs an upgrade
Place won awards in 2014,2015 and 2016. That says it all
Very tired, owner appears to be tired of running place, bed was bad, funny odour, picture did not represent room

Travelling Ireland, this was a fantastic place to stay. Would recommend to others and would return.
The accommodations were great. Enjoyed talking with the owner who was very helpful with places to eat. Very spacious room, great bed. We visited during rather hot weather, we asked for a fan and it was provided while we were out.
Nothing. The location was perfect for our needs.

Luxury
Clean, beautiful and comfortable. Booking in and out was easy, little extras such as biscuits and water in the room and fruit in the lounge area. The host provided info about the area and recommendations for dinner and breakfast. A fabulous luxurious stay

Plenty of parking, lovely rooms. Entrance door on IT mode, but there eventually.
No dining or breakfast available.

Disappointing
I wouldn't say I liked anything, some aspects were OK at best.
amenities in the room were poor, bathroom only had shower gel, of poor quality, no soap for example. Room was very hot, and appreciating the weather it was uncomfortable. location was further out of the town, than our expectation.

A lovely couple who made us feel very welcome throughout our short stay, close to Donegal town, and a great base includi
Owners were extremely helpful and courteous, providing information about the area and places to eat etc. On site parking and plenty of space around the property

Donegal stop over
It was a fabulous place, everything about it was great. Good value for money too. Didn't give it 10 because of the strange arrival system with codes and keys in an envelope - beforehand it feels a bit stressful, and the code entry thing was a bit odd. There was someone there to help though!
Just the entry system as outlined. But it did work out fine really!

Friendly owner, comfy beds and room and safe parking
Clean and tidy room with a double and single bed. Easy electronic check in when you get the hang of it. Breakfast was optional which suited our stay. The owner met us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee facilities were available in the room. Safe off road parking with lots of space. There was a dedicated children's play area on site.
Property was located close to a main busy road so there was a lot of traffic noise when the windows were left open. When close it was quiet. The bathroom fan was likely worn and made a load noise when in operation.

A very good stay
Very kind of owners to immediately upgrade my room since no-one else was staying in Donegal House at the time. Huge grounds which allows for a well-sized car park.
No breakfast included, but this is due to upcoming renovations to the building. Whether I stay there or not in the near/far future, hopefully there will be tasty breakfasts for all.

This was a fine hotel room with plenty of space within an easy drive of Donegal town.
This is a nice hotel, with pleasant public areas and comfortable rooms (if ours was any guide). It’s right off the main highway into Donegal Town, but a wall divides it from the highway, it’s entered from a side street (a little challenging to find the gateway!) and it’s quiet and pretty. Our stay was before the high season, and we were the only guests the night we were there; our hosts did not appear in person although one staff member was on location, but left us a welcoming letter with the information we needed. If a party of guests is like us, three equal friends who want one room for economy’s sake but don’t sleep together, one of them should be accommodating, because the three-bed room had two lavishly big beds and a small single bed in a corner. But that bed was comfortable too. There was no refrigerator in the room, awkward when we were carrying perishable foods from apartment-hotels, but a regular hotel can’t be expected to predict this. In the high season, the place will be even nicer since the café will be open, but it’s good in off-season too, and convenient to the town.
A bit spooky to be the only people in an empty hotel like this.

Comfortable, cozy, relaxing and calm
Clean, hygenic, big room, ideal location
Only one small water bottle (500ml) given for two days, two people
The room got quite warm so nothing to cool. And when you open the windows it gets noisy because of the vehicles on the street

Excellent Hosts
The hosts were attentive and responsive. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay.
The hosts are working to offer meals at the property again as they have previously. I think having food and drinks available will make the property even better.

Great facility and lovely staff
Staff was amazing, gave us great tips on where to go and dinner options. Check in/check out were super easy and rooms were lovely and big.
It was unseasonably warm, so definitely not the facility's fault, but rooms were a bit stuffy and warm. Listing also said they were within walking distance of the town (an Irish mile :)), but not a distance/route we'd be willing to walk. Easy taxi ride, though!

Wonderful stay
The rooms were hotel quality with a really comfy bed. The B&B was only 5 minutes drive from the centre of Donegal Town and the host organised a taxi for us.
It would have been nice to have breakfast served at the property though.

Very warm welcome , host provided plenty of recommendations for places to eat and taxi services. Beautiful spacious room, very comfortable bed and large bathroom. Our room was spotless and refreshment tray in our room. I would highly recommend and definitely would stay again. A truly wonderful experience!
Michael and Sian are truly fantastic Hosts. They represent the very best of what you could hope to experience in a Bed and Breakfast. Friendly, articulate, helpful, and genuine, they welcome you with a warmth that only proud owners and passionate professionals could. The Accommodation is as warm and inviting as they are, and the location to Donegal and its surrounds is fantastic. For all the places you could stay in the area, look no further than here!

Lovely Stay
Beautiful location, building etc. Host was lovely and recommended that we go to Slieve League, where to go to eat in town, directions to get there and times that would be best. Very well thought out accommodation. Everything on hand if needed.

Fabulous
The room was fabulous. Newly decorated. A large room and bathroom. The bed was so comfy and it was quiet so I got a great night's sleep 😴
It was about 2km from the town so you would need a taxi if you were going out for the night. I had a car so I didn't mind and I picked the location for the quietness.
