So much wasted potential...

Lovely looking exterior, in peaceful surroundings. It is easily walkable into Ardara along a farm track with great views out to sea. Recommended by our host!!

Overpriced, generally in need of some TLC, not worth what we paid. Grubby net curtain, rail hanging off the patio door in our room, could have been easily mended. The 'patio' was a communal outdoor area, shared with the smokers from next door so not used, not least of all as there were no chairs to sit on!

A very welcoming Inn to stay whether exploring the Wild Atlantic Way or just a week-end getaway

The Woodhill House is a historic Manse within walking distance of the historic Tidy Town of Ardara in County Donegal. It is a owned and managed by its long-time hospitable owner. The property is lovely, the staff very welcoming and helpful, the breakfast excellent. Their is also a bar, and light bar food, for the nights one chooses not to venture out. Many locals pop in for a drink and snack to enjoy the view and historic comfort of the bar lounge, or come up from Donegal Town area for a pleasurable get-away. The Corner Bar in Ardara town is known for its music sessions. The rooms are spacious, and the linens of good quality. There is also a small but beautiful garden that the rooms in the converted stables have balconies with views or garden patios. Parking is plentiful.

Beautiful scenery and grounds. The room was well appointed and the added bottles of sparking water well appreciated. It was a pleasure to sit in the bar and chat with our host John. Helen’s cheerful checkin was a delight after our long drive.

A relaxed stay in a gorgeous location surrounded by nature.

Charming old country house - beautifully presented with lots of interesting things to admire. The rooms are spacious and beds extremely comfortable- we had a garden view and enjoyed seeing a family of hares running about. The bar area is delightful with a fire going and tasty bar food on offer. John is an exceptional and knowledgeable host and Helen, who provided a fabulous breakfast, was extremely friendly and helpful - it was lovely to chat to her. It’s a short walk into Ardara and the delights of Nancy’s bar, craft shops and cafes. We were spoilt for choice in terms of nearby beaches for swimming and walking. Can’t wait to go back!

The house is quaint and comfortable. We had booked a cheaper room, as I thought that was all that was available, but the owner upgraded us to a bigger room in the main house free of charge. Thank you 🙏🏼 The staff were all very friendly. We also had dinner there, the food was delicious.
