Quiet place in the countryside

Warmful welcoming and excellent breakfast. The facilities are good, even if more space in the bathroom would have been nice. The bedroom is simple and fine. The bay window is thin, so the sound and heat insulation is lacking. But at least the neighborhood is quiet and secluded from town centers, and a radiator has logically been placed next to the bay window.

As a whole family lives there, when you get outside or to the living room, you follow a corridor with private accesses, so you might feel un-at-ease when you go out of the bedroom during night, in case of insomnia for example, or if you get up early in the morning around 5am to 7am for example.

Amazing stay, wonderful people

Me and my friend had a wonderful stay here whilst in Donegal for a dancing weekend. Helen and all her family went above and beyond for us, so kind and genuinely lovely people, the breakfast was lovely and the location was beautiful. Will definitely be back.

Amazing views & luxury in the middle of nature

Since the originally booked b&b wasn't available due to renovations, our host put us in a very beautiful lodge on the side of a hill closeby. We really enjoyed the accomodation, sadly we just spend one night there - the view and quality of the lodge is amazing!

Helen has presented her home beautifully. The decor is superb and facilities faultless. The bedroom was large and the bed was very comfortable. Helen supplied an excellent choices on her breakfast menu.

Wonderfull and we will come back

I’ve never seen so clean place. It was pleasure to come to this house after very intensive day spend around. We were greeted by owner outside the house and he even took our bags inside. His wife Helen came in later to say hi and ask us what we want for breakfast ( wich was delicious as well ). We had a great sleep and we felt very welcome.

First class accommodation in a great location.

We had a lovely time. Helen is an exceptional hostess and nothing was any trouble to her. Lovely big room with a great view across the hills. The property is very well located, a five minute drive from Ardara and ten minutes from Killybegs. We enjoyed the continental breakfasts, very health. We would certainly plan to stay here again. Highly recommended.

The hosts are lovely family, very welcoming, we were travelling around bad weather but both Helen and her husband made us feel home, location is handy to both Ardara town and Killybegs, nice clean room and great breakfast, highly recommended if you are up for nice Donegal experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at An Charraig Ban, its a beautiful house with a spacious room for storage and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also a great size. The breakfast was lovely and the views looking out the bay window were spectacular. The hosts were very helpful and friendly especially with directions and their knowledge of the area. There is also plenty of parking at the property.

White House on the green green grass

The little white house on the green green grass is actually my dream house. I felt like my dream came when I checked in for a one night stay at the beautiful house. The house is very clean and neat, the view from the room is very nice. The breakfast was nice. The owner Helen and her husband are nice, friendly and helpful. Lovely B+B in a quiet area, but central to all important tourist spots

Lovely house, great landscape, very nice hosts, perfect room with enough space for luggage and a big enough bathroom. Good breakfast options. Could‘nt be any better. It‘s a bit of a drive to the next towns (Ardara or Killibegs), but not to long (Absolutely ok for an evening out.) All in all the perfect place to discover the beautiful tourist spots around the area (quite central to everything)

This was a wonderful place to call home for a week and I'd definitely stay here again.

Helen and her family were fabulous hosts - so warm and welcoming. They offered great suggestions of places to visit. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. The rooms were comfortable and immaculate. A serene location right on the Wild Atlantic Way.

Mobile phone reception was spotty at times, but the wi-fi was good.
