I'll be back.

The hotel seems to have been nicely refurbished since my last visit 3 years ago.The reception staff were most welcoming and helpful. My room was nicely fitted out with all the essentials and I had a great view directly over the harbour and the fishing fleet. The ensuite was spic and span with a good powerful shower. The bed was comfortable, but see below.

The pillows were a bit too thick for me so that I found it difficult to get my head and neck into a comfortable position.

Luxury rooms in newly renovated hotel with great views

The Tara is a newly renovated hotel in a wonderful location with free parking available adjacent to the hotel. Very well appointed large room with a lovely view of the water. Helpful staff, great restaurant for all meals, separate bar, spotlessly clean- it was excellent at every level.

Lovely Hotel, newly revamped, beautiful restaurant overlooking the harbour, food was lovely, we had fresh fish. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definetly stay there if we were there again.

Our stay was only for one night but it was comfortable and we enjoyed the food and the view

We liked the location. Supper was very good we had tacos and cider to drink as well as sea bass .....

The only thing we fund a bit odd was that there was an automatic door that opened when we were near the lift even though we did not need the door....just using the lift.

Family Reunion at Tara

We really enjoyed our stay while visiting family. Rooms are recently remodeled and clean. Great restaurant in the hotel, which we ate at and gathered morning and night.

Pillows are stiff, and if you leave your balcony door open, it can smell like fish.

Comfortable clean renovated room

Hotel is currently being renovated. I have been coming to stay at the Tara at least twice a year for 19 years. It has been tired for a number of years now but the hotel is being transformed with the current renovation and new owners. I stayed in a renovated room and I was very impressed.

Great stay, clean, modern

There’s renovation work being carried out at the hotel, but this is well stated on there page. It didn’t cause us any disruption during our weekend stay. Our room looks to have been recently done, it was fresh, clean and comfortable. All staff extremely friendly.
