The Blue Haven Kilcar

Food was delicious .Staff were so attentive and welcoming and went out of their way to sort out a few difficulties we experienced

They were doing lots of renovations on our arrival in the hotel so obviously plenty of workers around also.

We absolutely loved the Blue Haven, the room was so spacious and was spotlessly clean. The staff couldn’t do enough for us they were so nice.

Nothing we loved everything

Restaurant and bar was lovely, with a view out onto the sea , food was great. Room was clean and had a view of the sea. The reception area was being renovated so we had to walk through some areas that were being decorated but this didn’t cause any issues, because of this the hotel gave us a bottle of wine and vouchers to use in the restaurant and bar staff were all very friendly .

Hotel should be lovely once finished.

Location was nice. Staff were friendly but some seemed to lack knowledge of their job.

When we arrived we were brought to an old shabby looking room which was not what I booked, however, upon notifying the staff they moved us to the refurbished room I booked which was nice. Unfortunately there were builders everywhere for the entire duration of our stay. Ag breakfast it started continental which was like. We were handed a menu with prices on it so we thought it was extra when in fact it was included. I would describe our stay as a bit chaotic which is not ideal for a 2 night break. Maybe when the hotel is finished it will be a nice stay but at the moment I would give it a miss.
