In general it was a nice hotel and I would recommend it to my friends.

Comfortable, great location away from centre, friendly

The location was great, about 8 stops from the centre of Florence with a 300-400 metre walk. The room was not super hot. The parking provided was tight, but very good. The guys servicing were very pleasant. We arrived a little early and we were accommodated. Wifi was very good, which was important in case I had to login to servers at home. We wanted something on the outskirts. Its just far enough out that its very quite, and just close enough that its not a long tram ride.

The room was basic enough. It could have done with with a safe, but then again, that is no guarantee of safety for your goods, as we've heard from others.

Warm and welcome stay.

I stayed at the hotel at the moment of renovation. Now it is not the old Italian style hotel, but more Scandinavian minimalism. Someone will love it, but I will miss stripes on walls and elegant furniture. There are plenty of advantages: Great breakfast, I felt full and happy with great choice of sweet and sour options. There is restaurant in the same building with really great food. There are few lovely stores around the hotel and big supermarkets are one tram stop from the hotel. And the tram stop is two minutes walk from the hotel. And tram goes directly to Main train station Santa Maria Novella. Even though there was a gas station next to the hotel it was still pretty quite and peaceful. The view from the window was lovely. And the main thing which is probably one of the most important in every hotel is the staff. The receptionist, the breakfast lady, the cleaning crew, the barman, - all of them were absolutely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and hope to have a chance to stay in hotel Alex again.

Overall we were satisfied, we recommend it.

The staff is friendly. They helped with late check-in. The breakfasts were above our expectations. It was far from the center, but the important advantage was close to the tram.

The lack of a headboard was not comfortable.

Honest place to explore Florence

The breakfast was good and it was easy to reach the hotel by public transposrtation or by car. Il personale è sempre stato disponibile e gentile.

It was pretty far from the center (but I knew it in advance so not really their fault). Parking was hard to find and the parking of the hotel was not included in the fee (this was not disclaimed in advance!). The room was basic, clean but not really well kept, with several signs on walls and furniture. There were many mosquitos both in the room and in the common areas.
