The central location was very good with nearby restaurants, cafes and shops. Bolzano is a beautiful city in the magnificent setting of the Italian Alps. We found all local people friendly and helpful. The main purpose of our visit was to visit the Tyrolean Archaeology Museum, which was a couple of hundred yards from the accommodation. This we managed successfully.
The accommodation was on the third floor, as stated. The route was not stated, however, and required the descent of one flight of steps, a passage and then a spiral staircase. For older people this was a challenge. We think it should have been made clear, with alternarive accommodation offered in one of the host's more accessible properties (if available).

Excellent location
Stairs down and stairs up; yes - in the description they mentioned stairs but be prepared! Lighting in hallway was inconsistent. Bit of a walk to breakfast too.
