Great location with supermarket right in front of the hotel. Patisseries opened at 6 am, are within a few minutes walk. Our room doesn’t have a kitchen but there are refrigerator and microwave which accommodate our needs. On the day of departure, we had to catch the train early in the morning, so we used Taxi Sud Tyrol app, the driver spoke English, arriving within a few minutes, costing us only 10€. However, Taxi Sud Tyrol app was only work in real time, couldn’t reserve ahead of time.

Everything. Location was superb. Hotel opened onto mall . Supermarket, fresh markets, restaurants, retail ( H&M, Zara). Great space in apartment . We booked 1 bedroom open space kitchen for 3 adults for 5 nights. Generous cupboards & storage. Well equipped kitchen. Loved microwave & dishwasher. Refrigerator was mini fridge but very spacious. Loved coffee machine with complimentary pods included. Easy access to laundry on ground floor. Loved complimentary tourist Bolzano card. This provided free transport on bus, train & cable cars in city precinct. Parking available underneath hotel for a daily fee. Otzi museum ( iceman) is opposite hotel. This is a “must do”.
Great size bathroom . Very modern facility. Netflix was also available . This was very popular with family.
Just a small thing. Sofa bed was the 2nd bed for our adult daughter. Sofa bed was made up before our arrival. Very uncomfortable for sleeping until we realised that mattress hadn’t been placed on top of sofa. Mattress was kept underneath sofa . Once we placed mattress on top, sofa bed became comfortable for sleep .

My stay at Residence - Palais Hörtenberg in Bolzano was nothing short of exceptional — truly a 10/10 experience.
The location is absolutely strategic. Situated right in the heart of Bolzano, it allows you to explore the historic center, shops, restaurants, and main attractions all within easy walking distance. Whether you're visiting for leisure or business, you simply couldn’t ask for a better base.
The room was beautiful, spacious, and tastefully designed, blending elegance with comfort. The bathroom was equally impressive — large, modern, and impeccably maintained, offering both style and practicality.
Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with a smile, making the entire stay feel effortless and enjoyable.
Cleanliness deserves special mention: everything was spotless. From the room to the common areas, the level of hygiene was outstanding and clearly a top priority. Highly recommended!
Actually we would have liked to find complimentary bottles of water in the fridge, as has become the norm in most hotels nowadays. Maybe a nicer view from the room could have been desirable.
