This is a beautiful and new little hotel in Kastraki. The rock formations of Meteora are readily visible from the village. Like it says in the name, there is a lovely stone aesthetic in the property. My room was clean and modern, even with a fridge, which was a nice touch. A continental breakfast was included, which was very nice. The staff are excellent and friendly.
This property is associated with the nearby Taverna Gardenia restaurant, which serves excellent meals. As far as I could tell, The Stone Forest doesn't have a formal check-in area so please ask one of the Gardenia's staff and they will help you out.
Not the fault of the property, but finding a parking spot in Kastraki can be a challenge, as is the case in many Greek towns. Be prepared to park some distance away from the property.

Incredbly friendly staff- they made me feel very welcome and they went above and beyond to provide hospitality to me while I was there. It was a lovely location and I'd highly recommend!

Hospitality was great, best ever experience! We came for Meteora and Kastraki is definitely the place to stay as it is very quiet and cozy. The Stone Forest itself is in the very heart of the village and also has a great Taverna.

The people at Stone Forest made us feel like family. Such warm friendly loving people. When we first arrived we weren’t sure where to checkin, since the door was locked. Ends up we should have rung the doorbell. But there was a sign to go to the restaurant behind if there was any questions so we did. There were so kind, welcomed us in and took us right over to get checked in early. Building is nice and looks recently done. No elevator, and there are stairs. Room was big. Bathroom a bit small, but shower was wonderful. Beds were good. Being off season we were able to find street parking easily. Surprise little breakfast snack that was delicious. Felt very safe and knew we could ask questions if needed. We loved it so much we even ate a couple of times delicious meals at the restaurant.
