Lovely stay in an amazing setting

The host was so friendly and the included breakfast was generous and served with enthusiasm and care. Plenty of advice was offered for exploring the local area. A great option for staying in Meteora.

Extraordinary and typically greek.

Very good and local breakfast with everything you need, very friendly host, very quiet, we can recommend the restaurant „Senses Resto Bar“ nearby (you need to make a reservation for dinner). We started all of our hikes directly from the location.

Amazing stay!

We loved staying at the Petrino Guesthouse. It is situated in the amazing spot, right by the rocks. Our host was wonderful and accommodating. We would highly recommend staying here.

Great location and wonderful breakfast!

Breakfast was wonderful! Room was good and sitting room outside room was nice to have as well as the little balcony. Location was fantastic to visit the monasteries and walk to places to eat. We enjoyed our 2 night stay.

Best house owner , lovely breakfast

The location. House owner who did her best to please us. Generous breakfast. Nice location, minutes walk to the center and a lovely hike which starts at the doorstep.

Tiny windows so there is hardly any view from the room, The "ground floor private entrance " is tiny with a small window looking directly to the car park. The upper room was nicier and more spacious and more ventilated.

Wonderfully suitable for us with a history all of its own.

This property is so quaint. A superb position below the towering monoliths of Meteora and walking distance to the town centre , tavernas etc. Breakfast was just too much every day and the kitchen staff were wonderful. The proprietor Toula was an absolute gem, and couldn’t be more helpful. Take her advice - it is definitely worth it. Local taverna within 30 meters and good parking space outside.

Our room had a small bathroom but it did not matter!

Historic, beautiful accommodations, but beware tiny bathroom

Breakfast was over the top. Such an adorable building with tons of history and character. Walls so thick, never heard another guest, even though there was a baby crying on the first floor (once on the 2nd, couldn't hear at all). Lovely view of the rocks, and sunset indescribably beautiful.

The shower was truly miniscule, and the shower nozzle was hand-held only, making washing your hair pretty tough. Sink was clearly not draining properly, and given how tiny the bathroom is, would have been nice to have some hooks and shelves for things like toothbrush, etc.

The description about the views were not accurate. It was the most expensive stay we had in all of Greece and did not even compare slightly to the other places we stayed.

Rustic guesthouse with stunning views

Loved being in the quant village of Kastraki. Guest house is in a great location (albeit a steep climb) at the foot of the impressive Meteora Rocks. Breakfast was amazing and Voula was a very warm generous host.

disappointing stay. breakfast is nice enough, but the bleak apartment, with no views , was depressing.

the location is in a quiet part of town, just under the great stones, but there is no view.

this is a small apartment, small queen size bed and a sofa, tiny shower. not appropriate for more than two adults and a child. the picture is misleading. the apartment is dark & bleak inside, disappointing!

A welcoming guest house in a great location.

We had a wonderful stay at Petrino. The location is excellent, and is a quiet place to relax. The staff truly went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable time, showing genuine care in every detail. Their friendliness and helpfulness made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hospitality here is outstanding, and it’s clear they take pride in providing a warm, inviting atmosphere. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

A quaint guesthouse with everything we needed for our 2 night stay in Meteora.

Lovely breakfast served by a very friendly staff. Location was very convenient to sites. Rooms were clean and comfortable and we had access to a small balcony and living area. Welcome by staff was very nice and informative about the area and facility. It had an older building charm.

The only complaint we had was the toilet seats were not attached properly and it felt as though you would slide right off! We called and advised of the issue, but there did not seem to be any action taken to repair. Otherwise, everything seemed to be in working order!

Only the fact that the TV needs you to have all these accounts (Netflix, Apple TV etc) so for older Greek people who just want to watch regular TV that’s not possible

Great Place to Stay in Meteora

The location of this place is absolutely stunning- see photos below. It is at the top of the town of Kastraki in the old town square. Servers come to organize breakfast- which is excellent and plentiful.

This isn't necessarily negative, but this place is a guesthouse and not a fully staffed hotel. You check yourself in. This was not a problem for us since one of the staff was there to help when we checked in, but it was difficult for some who arrived when they were gone for the day. I know because I had to help one family access the lockbox and get their key.

Nice little guesthouse in excellent location. Our room was very spacious, clean , with all the facilities including kitchenette.

The breakfast room is a tiny space , no buffet, you are just served to the table the limited options the offer. Was enough for us though.

poor ventilation in breakfast kitchen and eating area: could smell a fuel smell when entering this basement area. would be nice to eat in the backyard off the kitchen in the morning, or at least have the choice

Great Location

Check-in: very easy to find our bungalow and get into the room. Breakfast: Served in the main building. Very convenient to have breakfast included with our stay. Espresso was great but food was just OKAY. Location: Amazing location for hiking trails and to visit the monasteries. Host gave us a map of the area to help us find our way around. Kastraki is a very short drive to Kalabaka, so we were able to find some very nice cafes and restaurants, even during the winter. Bungalow: Small & modest. Well equipped with water, tea, and coffee. The shampoo/conditioner were not good so we bought our own. Very quiet location with a porch and small, gated front yard. Shower is small but has amazing hot water compared to other older buildings we have stayed in on our trip. Extra positive note: Host did our laundry without charge the day before our departure. So thankful for that service!

A couple things to note: 1. The size of the bungalow would have been better for a shorter stay. We stayed 5 days and found the space a little cramped with our one travel bag and carry-on items. 2. Wifi cut in and out pretty frequently (this was our main peeve because we both had work to do from our computers)
