Old Town Sole Mediterranean Garden

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment in Split. It truly feels like someone’s home, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and thoughtful human touches that make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The location is perfect, just a pleasant 10-minute walk to the Old Town, Diocletian’s Palace, and the seafront, making it very easy to explore the city. We especially enjoyed sitting in the outside garden with our morning coffee. The apartment has air conditioning in the kitchen, a fan in the lounge, and great Wi-Fi. A huge bonus is the washing machine, which was very convenient during our stay. There are also clothes racks in the little garden outside, where you can hang your washing. In the warm weather, clothes dry incredibly quickly, which is especially useful when travelling. The beach is around a 30-minute walk away, which is lovely if you want a break from the busy town. Our host was fantastic with communication, very helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable. There is honestly nothing negative to say about the apartment itself. One thing worth mentioning is the parking situation. I personally had no issues parking near the apartment, but the streets are very narrow and can be tricky to navigate. If you enter the street leading to the apartment, you may need to reverse your car, as there is no turning point at all. This could be challenging and stressful for inexperienced drivers, and would be particularly tricky if you have a large SUV or bigger car. There is public parking nearby if you prefer an easier option. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Split. A lovely home, a great location, and a wonderful host! ❤

We loved the amazing location in Veli Varoš, with Marjan Park just a short walk away. The area was perfect for us, charming, peaceful and close to everything. Danijela was also an amazing host: very kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We also really appreciated that dogs are welcome. It made our stay so much easier and enjoyable, especially with Marjan Park right nearby.

The apartment had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which was unfortunately quite noticeable during our stay. We realize that we may have missed this information in the listing, so that was partly on us. The apartment was also quite dark, but luckily we had the lovely outdoor patio, which made a big difference and gave us a nice place to sit outside.

The apartment is located at a walkable distance from the center (the Palace, the Riva, and the Marjan Hill). It is in the old part of the town (I found it charming) several steps up the hill, but those steps are easily manageable. There were several restaurants on the way. Not far from the apartment there is a small grocery store and a bakery. The apartment itself (though I'm very tempted to call it home, because it has this home vibe, not a rental place) is very comfortable to stay. Non-smokers, don't get discouraged by the fact that smoking is allowed. We did smell some tobacco the first night, but by the second night it was gone. The hostess, Danijela, was super attentive and helpful. We would stay there again, no doubt!
