Great Stay in Villefranche Sur Mer
The hotel was perfectly located a short walk to old town (downhill), bus station and bus stop to Nice and other towns along the Riviera are right across the street. The family owned guesthouse has lovely owners. The son of the chez 'Betty' (who started the business) was a joy! Always a smile, they own and run the cafe/bar downstairs from the rooms (which closes at 8 or 9 nightly). Its a 'local' spot and everyone seems to be a big family! Great vibe.
Everything was as described. Clean, quiet, heat and a/c in rooms, comfy bed and pillow. Its a guesthouse for sure and a place to lay your head before exploring the town and surrounding area.

It was perfectly central near the port, beaches, markets and restaurants. I loved that there is a bar and cafe at the ground level. I could easily get a coffee or drink and I could tell it was a local spot.
It was on the Main Street so I could hear some traffic and street noises. But considering it’s such a small town, the noises weren’t too bad.

I'd read the reviews of this hotel, that's why I decided to stay here....and so, I was expecting a pleasant stay. However, I didn't know that I'd have a window overlooking the town square...it was really nice to open the window and get some fresh air and take it all in...when I closed the window, it was quiet!
I didn't mind that I had to carry my bag up two flights because I'm in shape and like to stay in shape; however, I think some people will not like it.
