Prime location and Côte d’Azur vibe!

Location is prime - walking distance to the train station, coast promenade, shops and restaurants. Parking is available by the hotel, but can be booked out, reservation is needed. We parked outside in the street (can be expensive, but we were lucky to get a few free spots). Good breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice and clean room, has everything we needed, including some kitchenware.

Shower leaves a huge flood on the floor that does not drain anywhere, needed to clean up ourselves every time. Unfortunately, the swimming pool was only working in the summer months. Missing eggs for breakfast. Missing cutting board among the kitchenware in the room. We visited during the low season at reasonable prices, but can be expensive for what you get in the summer months.

Watch out for some rooms are not renovated and you might have one that looks as if it comes from the early 90s. Little storage space in bathroom

Nice, clean place but could have given a proper double bed instead of two singles put together.

It's a common problem in hotels. You book a double bed but instead you get given two single beds placed together so you have a gap down the middle. I thought the breakfast was a little disappointing since I paid the same for one in Paris where the eggs were freshly made for each person. Admittedly I was a bit late to breakfast but still. Maybe I would have put the bed against a different wall so that we could sit in bed and watch TV rather than the tiny sofa. Could have had more channels working.

A wonderful spot on the Côte d’Azur

This was a perfect base to explore the region. Our studio with terrace was very comfortable and had plenty of space for 2 adults and 1 child. A small but functional kitchenette with plenty of crockery and cutlery, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. There is a communal washing machine which can be used for free and a cleaning product room on each floor which you can use (iron etc) Lovely secure car park and we kept our bicycles on our terrace for extra security. There is a small but lovely pool area with free towels. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Beaulieu is a small and charming town, very quiet compared to other nearby towns. There is a wonderful bakery at the top of the road and the train station and supermarket next to it, just 5 mins walk from the residence. A wonderful week and we would recommend to anyone looking for a base to explore the area.

Could have been better…

My second week was ruined by a wall reconstruction around the building from 7 am to 5…drilling, dust/had to escape the hotel and pool rather than enjoy what I signed up for in the heat! I think they should have a bottle of water for guests upon arrival. Tap water smells & tastes bad. If you arrive late as I did and could not get to a store it is a problem/especially for folks who take meds.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone for a nice and relaxing vacation.

We liked everything about this hotel. A spacious room with a small kitchen, where there are all the necessary electrical appliances: a kettle, a coffee machine, a refrigerator, a toaster, an electric stove... A nice pool in the courtyard and a recreation area on a small lawn with tables, chairs, a swing. The beach is about 7 minutes walk away. Breakfast is good. The staff is friendly and ready to help. The reception is open only during the day, but in the evening and at night the door opens with a code, so no stranger will enter the hotel. If we decide to return to this city, we will stay at this hotel with pleasure.

I liked everything. But I would advise sending future guests a small map with directions from the train station. If a person came to the city on their own, then finding a hotel is not easy.

It’s a perfect place, with a good combination value for money, but if you’re ready to clean your room by yourself :)

It’s the best match : value = money! Staff was great and responsive! Any issues are getting resolved immediately. The location is perfect, the way to a beach takes 5 mins. There are a lot of facilities around: pharmacies, shops and groceries, restaurants, bus stop, etc. Pretty clean and green yard on the territory is available. Private parking for 10€ / day (per car) is really nice to have , and it’s available! The area is quiet at night, so you can really have a rest. Generally, It was a pleasure to spend our time in Carlton! I would definitely recommend this place.

1) I’m not really happy with lack of cleaning service in rooms, you have to clean it by yourself. But Carlton provides all necessary stuff for cleaning and washing. There is a washing machine and a drier on each floor (for a common usage). 2) we arrived at night and there is no possibility to park your car to a private parking, since you get a PIN code only the next day. So you have to find a place around to park your car (that is not easy). 3) The Receiption is available only until 4 or 5 PM, that is not perfect. But at the same time, you can always call them by phone and they solve your issues.

The shower head was busted when we arrived, but they quickly repaired the issue. Low end shower/tub combo though in comparison to the remodeled room.

Recently renovated, comfy beds, new small kitchen, massive bathroom. Stayed on lower ground floor. Big flat smart TV - thought it was too big! Aircon, USB sockets. Reasonable breakfast. Really nice and friendly perspon at the reception. Would come back.

I wasted some time trying to work out which floor my room was on. No signs in the lift or in corridors. Arrived in the evening, reception not manned after 5pm.
