Lovely friendly management and a very nice evening meal, with a great wine menu. Bed comfortable and a good night sleep. The hotel is a real Warren of corridors and old towers, very interesting.

Hotel has everything, but is a little dated (our bathroom and bed were absolutely fine though). The reception/downstairs has a strange odour - a bit like bins and not very pleasant. Being next to a lake, there were very many mosquitos. I left our window open, so had to ask for spray as about 5 or 6 quickly came into room. The owner was very quick to assist, which was great. Overall, with the location quite remote, and being a lityle dated, the whole experience was just a little odd and quite expensive overall.

The room was large, the bed was comfortable, there is tea and coffee making facilities, amazing restaurant and thr location is stunning. I will say again, the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. There is a whisky menu and the wine list is extensive and priced from around €27 to well over €150.

Mosquitos.....the location is by a lake and there are Mosquito's. But really, the only niggle is the lack of air conditioning and with the ever present mozzies, it's unwise to open the window at night when trying to sleep.

Beautiful location not far from the Alencon. The room was very characterful and comfy. The 3 course meal in the restaurant was fantastic. I will definitely visit again.

Beautiful location, excellent food, good value for money

The bedrooms and bathrooms are extremely dated and old-fashioned; definitely in need of modernisation. The staff are efficient and businesslike but not friendly or welcoming.
