Campanile NATURE - Alençon

The room was clean and supplied towels and some basic toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and the venue was very quiet. You can park your car outside your room, as everything is on the ground floor, like a motel. Breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of everything. I ate in the restaurant on my second stay (1 night) and it was fine.

Before starting my trip (France to UK) I wrote to ask if I needed to book a table for an evening meal. The reply said that it was not necessary. I got lost trying to find the hotel and when I arrived just after 18.00, I was told that there were no tables available. I was cross, having asked in advance. I showed my email but it did not have a signature of whomever had replied, so the person checking me in shrugged his shoulders. I was offered room service, so opted for fish & chips and a panache. When it didn't arrive, I realised that I was supposed to go and collect it! The food was very good, however!

We always stay at Campanile because it is just off the motorway, we always get a good nights sleep and we had breakfast next morning which is very good. The guy on reception was very helpful and smiley, he let us stay a while longer as we had car problems we were trying to sort out.

The refurb is great but we would prefer 2 chairs in the room.

Everything was clean. Room was lovely - huge bed! And a bath!!!? I do love a bath! Convenient and quiet location. Place to walk my dog! Staff were friendly and professional - nothing was too much trouble. And veggie options on dinner menu - in France 😀!!! Great

Nothing

Room very small bed comfortable no where comfortable or pleasant to sit to have a meal with our dogs as they were not allowed anywhere except the room

An inside area to sit with our dogs so we could have a drink or meal
