Central position and could walk for just 5-10 minutes to reach all tourist attractions, high street, restaurants & cafes. We also had one dinner and one breakfast at the hotel which were excellent.

A great place to stay for a city break.

Great location within the city. The restaurant offered a very good breakfast which set us up for the day. The bar allowed us the opportunity to have a relaxed drink at the end of the day too. Comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep.

Parking in Winchester is problematic for most hotels in the city. The fact that we were not sure if there would be space for us to park and we were coming from some distance and arriving later in the day meant that we felt we had no option but to go by train. Not what we would have preferred to have done.

Lovely people and the room could do with some TLC.

Lovely staff who could not have bee more helpful and the location was great.

The room looks like it could do with some repairs as it felt a little unloved. Compared to our accomodation in central Cambridge ( which was the same cost) the room and bathroom was very small.

Super stay - highly recommended

Good size room. Comfortable bed. Very quiet at night. Nice, clean bathroom. Tea and coffee supplies were topped up daily. All staff were delightful and welcoming. Good choice at breakfast and dinner was very good. Short walk to the centre of town and the Cathedral. Plenty of alternate option for dinner if you want. On site parking was a bonus.

The hotel is in an excellent location for the city - shops a short walk away. The Bar and Lounge area were cosy. Our Breakfast and meals were very good.

Breakfast time was quite congested. We were a group of 5 adults. There was only one table set for more than 4. Staff pulled tables together for us but that made space tight. As a result a resident who tripped down a step from the serving area spilled their breakfast over my husband.

An enjoyable city break and trip to the Christmas market.

The location was very good for access to the High Street and all of the amenities and places of interest. The bed was comfortable and there was a very good choice at breakfast. The staff were pleasant and polite.

There appeared to be no sound insulation in the floors, so there was considerable noise when the guests in the room above walked around the room. We were fortunate to get the last parking space in the car park, otherwise parking would have been an issue. The parking charge per night is a little steep given the price of the rooms.

Christmas in winchester

The hotel is perfect location for the town .From out side the building it looks quite small but when you walk through the doors it's lovely big and very stylish. The staff were very good but they struggled to understand what we were saying .

Would defo go again it's warm and very inviting. BUT some of the staff need to understand English a little better .But they tried there best 👌

I would stay again

Staff were very polite and helpful. Food at dinner and breakfast was delicious. Breakfast, was a buffet cooked breakfast with pastries, cereal, toast, fruit etc available. The location was good.

Wasn't sign posted very well. The car park is not big enough, we were very lucky to nab the last space! The room was a little dated. And the plug didn't work in the bath.

My original room 116 had faulty central heating and we couldnt sleep the entire night as it was far too hot despite window being open and fan being on but staff were kind to upgrade us to a lovely garden room

Classy hotel with excellent staff

Great location on a side street but 5 min walk to Main Street with shops, restaurants, pubs snd Cathedral. Old hotel, a little dated in some areas but all in all very comfortable and authentic.

Our shower will very strange in terms of controlling the temperature and quite hot in the room. Albeit not the hotels fault that it was humid weather. A fan was provided. Our friends had been upgraded to a four poster room which had air con so pleased for them.
