Lovely host; excellent stay

This is a private en-suite room in Saskia's home; the location is excellent: a short walk from the railway station and around the corner from the high street. There is a bus stop right outside. Saskia is a warm and friendly host, and the room shows her attention to detail.

I liked everything about the property, but specifically the Hostess, Saskia, who was amazing, she made me feel so welcome and it was why I decided to to stay in smaller more personable Hotels and not bigger chains!

Great host and house; very cute dog.

A super-stylish room and ensuite in central Winchester, which meant easy walking to everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast was excellent - first-rate scrambled eggs - and Saskia was a warm and welcoming host. We would definitely recommend.

Cozy and clean en-suite room with great location, lovely host

Cozy and comfortable bedroom, modern and very clean bathroom. Location was near train station but also close to town, not too noisy despite being near main road.

I did not know in advance that I would be staying at someone’s personal/private home, I feel this is now better reflected after the property name change from Saskia’s Bed & Breakfast to Saskia’s Rooms.

Thoroughly recommended; will definitely stay there again

The rooms were extremely well appointed, very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was superb. Host was a really welcoming, lovely lady. Nothing was too much trouble.

Parking isn’t available onsite but we found somewhere about 5mins away

Location was perfect, around the corner from the Theatre Royal in the centre. Lovely town house. Beautifully appointed with lots of artwork and quality furnishings. Our rooms were lovely and the beds and bedding very comfortable. Saskia is a charming and fun host and nothing is too much trouble and she makes a mean breakfast!

The perfect place in Winchester!

Perfectly situated, lovely decorated and furnished B&B. Although it's situated in the heart of Winchester, it's very quiet during the night. Should we ever be in Winchester again, we will definitely stay with Saskia and her cute little dog Mabel!

Absolutely perfect !

Warm welcoming by Saskia, the house is decorated with a very lovely taste, the room is quiet, the bathroom perfect ! Bed is very comfortable, all the restaurants and pubs are at few minutes walking, 10 minutes to the cathedral. We loved the place, as we plan to go again to Winchester, it'll be the place we'll go again !

Friendly and welcoming reception at Saskia's B&B. If you are looking for a homely experience then look no further. Saskia's is centrally located a short walk into the town centre where there are some excellent restaurants and pubs and bars. Was pleasantly surprised by the whole stay

Parking is about 300 yards away which in mid summer was absolutely no issue. Overnight cost of £3.80 is cheap and even saw a happy parking inspector in the morning who let me off being back to the car 10 mins late!

A lovely B&B with a couple of drawbacks.

Our host, Saskia, was absolutely lovely and made us very welcome. The house was spotlessly clean and everything we needed for our stay was provided. The bed was very comfortable. There was copious hot water for showers and washing. Sakia's breakfast provision was brilliant with super fresh fruit, muesli etc, with the option of a delicious cooked breakfast for an additional charge.

The lack of a parking space was a drawback, although Saskia does have a permit to allow you to park in the nearby streets (if you're in luck). The 2nd floor room, though well equipped, was rather cramped and was a bit hot and airless. The fan that had been thoughtfully provided was a must.

A perfect, comfortable, and peaceful stay

This was the perfect way to start walking the South Downs Way. The stay couldn’t have been more comfortable and the room had everything you would want for a comfortable stay including fan and mini-fridge! Very peaceful, inside and outside so had a really good night’s sleep. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Convenient and comfortable, with the best people.

The location is ideal, close to the train station and to the city center. The room was comfortable (the shower water pressure is excellent!) and the breakfast was delicious. The staff went above and beyond to help me with my stay, and I can't tell you how helpful they were with logistics and area recommendations. Highly recommended!

You'll have to watch your head on the top floor room if you're tall. It's an old building with sloping ceilings under the roof. But I have no complaints!

A beautiful, perfect place to stay!

The hosts are lovely and can't do enough for you (they got me two fans without me even asking because of the hot weather). The room and ensuite were spacious, comfortable, very clean and beautifully laid out with lots of thoughtful touches (including a mini fridge). The breakfasts were amazing. The location is brilliant- near the train station and the town but the house itself is very quiet with the use of a beautiful garden. If I come to Winchester again this is where I'll be staying!

Lovely welcome from Saskia, We had the attic room, which was very warm, (but it was the hottest day of the year). A fan was provided together with a jug of filtered water and a mini fridge with fresh milk. It is situated in a good place, easy walk into town and good access to the station. And parking was easy.

The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of a blind on the bathroom window.

Comfortable cosy stay in Winchester near station

Extremely comfortable bedding in a calm quiet tasteful room very close to the station and all amenities of the very pleasant Winchester town centre. Gracious friendly hostess. Much nicer than staying in an impersonal chain hotel. Good shower.

Very clean and comfortable, with an efficient en suite; Saskia was charming and the B&B was easy walking distance the Winchester shops, cafes and restaurants. She put us on a visitors permit for our car for nearby street parking which was a bonus.

Through no fault of Saskia's the roads were gridlocked with several very strategic road closures!

Charmant in Winchester

Gute Lage in Winchester. Das Haus hat sehr viel Flair - der Außenbereich könnte etwas einladender sein. Zimmer, Bad und Frühstück waren sehr gut. Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch weil Winchester eine wirklich tolle, kleine Stadt mit ganz viel Ausstrahlung ist.
