the landscape view from the appartement, there are plenty of room in the appartement, perfect for a family of 4 people (there is a spacious room and a possibility to use a bank bed in the living, a kitchen with all commodities, a bathroom with shower only but also spacious)

Great apartment with stunning views

The apartment was amazing, very centrally located yet very peaceful and charming. It has great views of Monschau and right by the church. I would definitely stay here and again and highly recommend to anyone coming to Monschau.

generously spaced, well-equipped apartment in the centre of town. Get the keys from the Restaurant!

A very spacious and light filled apartment facing one of the bigger squares of the this little town. The bed was very comfy and the bedroom window faces the creek, which was nice and calm. The kitchen was well equipped and the seating at the table was lovely. Almost too big for one person, still very large for two, very generous space. Staff was very helpful to show me where to store my bike - which was a short walk away and some steps up from the Hotel.

It was a bit hard to figure out where the entrance to the hotel was and that I needed to get the keys from the restaurant staff. Instructions to get to the apartment were minimal and the entrance is a bit dodgy looking, the staircase small and rickety and you need to duck your head if you are tall as I am. Unfortunately, staff in the bar downstairs had the music going loudly until after 23 hrs and I needed to go downstairs to ask them to turn it down, which they did, but I could still hear every note until they actually left. It made the night a little more restless and put a dint into an otherwise great stay.

Comfortable stay, gorgeous views

This was our 2nd time in this hotel, and 1st time in this larger apartment. Highly recommended if you are looking to stay in Monschau. 1) Spacious apartment extending through the entire top floor. 2) Good view to the outside square from bedrooms and 1 window of living room. 3) Comfortable sofa bed. In the heart of the altstadt action. 4) Nicely decorated apartment, not too cluttered and pleasantly functional. 5) Not too high to climb despite being on the 3rd floor - really easy climb till 2nd floor, then spiral staircase to the 3rd floor, although it may be difficult with a big suitcase. 6) It was possible to store luggage after checkout. Staff was helpful and spoke English. 7) They kept 4 small Ritter sport chocolates for us in the room, giving a sweet start to the stay :)

1) Wifi was extremely weak on the top floor so we used our mobile data instead. 2) 3 windows in the living and dining area had a view to the rur river but could not be opened as they were locked due to safety issues. We could only open the skylight window in living room (enough to provide ample venting though). 3) Will be nice if they keep a separate body wash in the bathroom. Currently only liquid handwash was provided which could double up as shower gel. 4) The furniture placement they had provided in bedroom restricted the opportunity to fully open the windows. But we moved the beds a bit and could open the windows completely, which is what we wanted to soak in the views and fresh air.

Location, location, location!!

You could not ask for a better location! The apartment looks out over the square and is right by the river. The place was huge and super clean, my husband and I were saying we could live there it was so spacious. We will definitely be staying here next time we are in the area.

Super cute city, but if the Xmas market is not worth it.

The location is great indeed, right in the city center and it has an amazing view on the river. But if you are coming by car like us, then you need to leave the car at the parking and then walk around 10 minutes to get to the hotel, which is not a big deal at all, but the parking in this city is a big deal, just be aware. The apartment was super big and spacious. It was very warm inside which was nice. The keys are easily to be picked up downstairs at the restaurant.

When we arrived there was only one towel, one pillow and one blanket while we were a couple. I had to go and search for a cleaning lady, who turned out to not speak English, so I had to explain her what I want in 3 words of German that I know. Luckily she understood and brought the 2nd missing set of everything but she showed us a paper where the owner informed her that the room number 3 is only one person instead of two. Probably just a human mistake but that was a little bit weird. 120 EUR per room but no breakfast was also a little bit disappointing.

Great apartment in city centre

The location was top, right in the city centre, stocked kitchen quite a big apartment and also a smart TV, totally saved our night in Monschau since everything closes so early there

The organisation about key taking and giving could be better, also lots os stairs but therefore quiet. I guess right above the restaurant would be noisier

Great value for money and a fantastic location

This hotel is located at a superb location in Monschau and you get a lot of value for your money. Highly recommended if you're traveling with your spouse or family! The photos that come with this review were taken from of our apartment.

Certain things in the building could use some maintenance, however considering the good price and fantastic location, I'd say that's definitely not a big deal at all.

Spacious apartment in the centre of Monschau

Beautiful river view, right in the centre. Clean and well appointed holiday flat, quiet (when we closed the windows - running river). Very nice to have tea, coffee, soap, towels etc provided. Parking nearby.

Local bars close very early! Not many grocery shops, so need to plan ahead if self catering.

The location is really wonderful! The owner was very kind to accept to change the dates of our visit at the very last minute. They also offered us a bottle of milk at our arrival (the small grocery shop in Monschau was already closed).

Stress free and relaxing!

Opening the windows and hearing the river rush by while lying in bed was a highlight of our whole trip!
