Lovely stay in Auchen am Rosenthal

The property was great, spotless and very comfortable. Location was great. Right next to the river, plenty of parking space, only a few minutes from the centre of lovely Monchau. Check in was easy. We were past check in time but the owner saw us arrive at the reception and came over from the opposite building. These particular apartments are approx 100 metres from where you check in. Breakfast was served in another building opposite reception. There was a great choice and friendly staff

The positives outweighed the negatives.

The check-in was straightforward and easy. The directions to the location were also nice and clear on the email Always read the small print :) The apartment was clean, well-stocked, and it was easy to prepare your own breakfast, dinner etc. Cooker, dishwasher etc all worked as they should. Very convenient. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows and duvet. A quiet, convenient location, good access to parking, and only a short walk into the old town.

There are a few minor things that I think are worth mentioning. Maybe not a dealbreaker? The wifi was down for several hours (we had to use our own phone data). Friday afternoon until Saturday morning. There was 'no signal' from the tv. Now, we weren't there to sit and watch tv all day, but it would have been convenient to catch up on the news etc. There was only lukewarm water for a shower on the Saturday morning. It was not hot at all. A few more places to either hang or store your clothes would've been nice. Other than a few hangers and hooks on the wall, that was about it.

Excellent and will certainly stay again if we are that way.

Clean, well presented, comfortable and by a lovely stream. Beds very comfortable, kitchen well equipped and a lovely outlook. Staff were very helpful and a special mention for the young lady on duty at breakfast who went the extra mile to help us out. Many thanks.

Only that the shower head was useless but we were only there for one night so lived with it.

Good riverside accomodation

Good location, wonderful to hear the river as white noise in the night. Good matrass.

Recently renovated. Well-maintained but the quality of building materials is average. Parking fee of EUR 10 was not clear in advance and perhaps a bit steep in off-season when there was plenty of space around the property.

Ideal for a short breakaway.

excellent location near Monschau center, but quiet and ideal for traveling with pets. Trails start right outside your door.

The only advice I can give is the television in the apartment. Satellite tv, but hardly any channels available and I did not get the sound to work. We have come to expect (smart)TV that let's you use your own Netflix or other streaming app.

Amazing apartment

Apartment on the edge of Monschau next to the river, with private parking and a 2 min walk to the city centre! Was absolutely amazing. Lots of hiking trails around Monschau easily accessible on foot from the apartment. The apartment was fully equipped and comfortable bedding.

Great Location

The location of the property was lovely next to the river and was within walking distance of the town. The property was clean and comfortable, the quality of the feather duvets were excellent. Despite there being several properties adjoined, it was very quiet, however the terrible weather may have been a factor in this, with people not being outside. Car parking is available on site at 10 euro per day. The keys for the property have to be collected from another address which is not far from the accommodation. Breakfast is also served at this location, which we did not have, as we would have preferred this to have been taken at our accommodation

Scammed and ripped off.

The picture was as close as we got. This property is managed by 'VillaDelux'. We booked 10months ago and even up to 24hours before they were confirming our booking. When we arrived around 5pm we were asked to pay for the accommodation and then handed the keys. We were directed to a run down old building and found ourselves in the loft of a creaking 8 bed (probably to house gangs of bikers) apartment, completely unsuitable for us and definitely not what we would ever have booked. When we returned to reception, they refused to refund us. If they had, had the decency to tell us that they planned to fill one of their other properties rather than the one we booked, we could have at least booked somewhere else, but at 5pm at night in a foreign country we were effectively forced into accepting a really bad alternative. To add insult to injury the property we should have stayed at was within eyeshot and was still being advertised on booking.com. This is the worst booking that I have ever experienced and this company should not be allowed to operate so unethically. Unimpressed and unhappy.

Nice stay in Monchau

The apartment is placed close to the center of the town and all the restaurants and shops are in a few minutes walk. The equipment of the apartment was clean and perfect for two adults and two children including well equiped kitchen. The communication with the person responsible for hand over and take over was also without any problems. The historical building has its own unique atmosphere.

Het was top! :)

Het was rustig gelegen maar toch heel dicht in het centrum (+/- 6min te voet).

Eigenlijk was alles in orde. Super kleine persoonlijke puntjes van kritiek: gebruik heen houten lepels in de keuken, dat is onhygiënisch (maar liggen alternatieven dus je kan ze negeren). Voorzie lauw water in de keuken, het water was heet of koud. Repareer de latjes op de vloer die overgaan van keuken naar living, deze zaten redelijk los en zijn scherp. Het licht dat buiten hangt bij de voordeur hoeft niet heel de nacht te branden, dit scheen nogal fel binnen.

Heerlijk appartement op een top locatie!

Ligging was perfect, heel rustig maar toch direct naast het centrum. Appartement was heel ruim en netjes.

Incheck was lastig. Kon alleen op een heel specifieke tijd maar dat was wel op te lossen.

Centraal geleden studio, ideaal voor het verkennen van de omgeving!

Ruime studio (gelijkvloer) + parking op 5 min wandelen van het centrum Monscheau. De studio is volledig uitgerust van keuken tot badkamer, inclusief de benodigdheden (handdoeken, potten & pannen, koffie (senseo). Pluspunten: - wifi - snelle verwarming; - parking (10 euro/dag); - diervriendelijk (15 euro/dag);

- warm water was ok, mag iets warmer ingesteld worden; - geen airco (zomerperiode); - harde matras;
