It was pure magical and lovely to the core! Can’t wait to be back!

The property is magical!it felt like living in a medieval chalet. Location is prime, a minutes walk from all the nice pubs and cafés and not in the middle so there is also privacy. The stairs and floors are all wooden and it was so well heated in every room. There’s space for at least 3 people, and it’s right next to the river so you can hear the water flowing. Can’t wait to be back!

It’s a bit difficult to get hold of the caretaker because they don’t stay in the building so you have to make an international phone call :/ to get hold of them . Makes it a bit difficult since they are not available on WhatsApp.

Lovely and beautiful building next to the river and in close proximity from the city center.

Great location and amenities. The appartment was clean and had a great view.

The main bedroom bed was very hard but our personal opinion.

Comfortable big apartment for a longer stay

A great apartment, quite big and very comfortable bed and bedding. Unfortunately we just stayed for one night so did not get the chance of using the kitchen etc. Breakfast was not included however we chose afterwards to have breakfast at the hotel which was superb with great choice of everything a breakfast needs.

Not a biggie but if I would mention something it would be the shower which was a regular size with a shower curtain compared to nowadays a walk in shower mostly a bit bigger.

Very functional apartment in an excellent location

Excellent location with good parking. Very nice little apartment with everything you would need for a few nights stay. A minute’s walk from the centre of the beautiful town.

Very dirty place and COLD even in “summer”

1. Was super dirty there was dog hair all over the place even in the beds, we had to clean it 2. Was super cold, the heater didn’t work 3. The windows are super old very difficult to close and one of them didn’t close so we had to sleep with it open 4 the whole place was dirty even spiderwebs in the stairs 5. We did not have shower gel 6 they didn’t give us towels for our hairs (2 women) for a stay of 3 nights, we had to ask about it 7. The hot water never worked, I burned trying to make it work, you cannot take a hot water shower because the heat in the water changes all the time, between cold and hot

Quirky!location, stunning!!!

This property is just old fashioned Brillant quirky!! The apartment was large inside with great views. Seating area outside with bbq facilities. Inside they have a fridge with beer and wine and even glasses and a trust box for you to pay unbelievable absolutely fantastic. Fresh bread every day left out for you to take. A huge balcony looking out over the water. We loved our stay.

Of all the places on our 2-week European tour this summer, this was our family's favorite!

The entire reservation process was seamless, from booking the stay, communicating with the hosts, and checking in and out. This historic inn was so quaint, the hosts were absolutely charming, the location was perfect, and the traditional home-cooked European breakfast was delectable! Our children absolutely loved staying in the third floor apartment that had such great space, historic character, yet modern amenities. We hope that we will be able to return someday!

We happened to visit on one of the hottest days of the summer. It would have been be nice to have portable fans for the bedrooms. However, we were lucky that the evening did cool off and we were able to open windows for crisp, fresh air. Bonus: we loved waking up to the sounds of birds chirping and church bells ringing!

beautiful building, lovely spacious flat, perched right in the river, short and pleasant walk to anywhere in the village. stocked with everything we could have needed. beds super comfy. so much character and just so nice. could have stayed longer!

Clean, pleasant apartment.

The holiday apartment was a great location on Monschau. Only a few minutes walk to the absolute centre. Check in was straightforward. The apartment was very clean when we arrived. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of fluffy white towels. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and cutlery. The only thing missing was a vegetable peeler. The free private parking, minutes from the apartment was a real bonus.

The apartment was extremely hot when we arrived. Perhaps not the owners fault as it was also unseasonably mild. There were no instructions for how to control the heating either. The water didn't run hot in the bath, although the shower was perfectly fine. It would have been nice to have some kind of welcome message or a little booklet of things to do/orientation around the town, nearest facilities etc. The apartment was fine, just a few things could do with being modernised. For the price we paid, we would have expected a few more luxuries.

The location is ideal if you want to visit the town and it’s surroundings. The apartment is ideal for 4-6 people.

The room was beautifully furnished, with exposed beams, comfortable bed and kitchen with coffee machine. The views over the river and forest are wonderful

Good location; right on the river. We had a 2-bedroom spacious apartment in a nice old house. We had to call the owner to pick up the keys but he arrived quickly; we hardly spent 5 minutes waiting.

During our stay the outside temperature was around 3 deg. C during the night and we had the heaters on but because of poor windows that wouldn't close completely and/or weak heaters the temperature wasn't comfortable. Also, the water heater in the shower was on only for a short period of time and then it would turn off completely and the water turned cold. We stayed only one night and didn't ask the owner to fix that; may be there's a way to keep it on.
