Cozy apartment in the center of Monschau

Really nice apartment in the center of Monschau, everything was in walking distance. We really liked that the apartment was very well equipped and very comfortable. Our host was very friendly and responsive. Monschau is a great base for hiking in the Eifel area.

Nice & clean apartment

Charming apartment, very authentic. Very good location to walk to the Town center or go for a hike in the mountains. Very clean. Proper coffee machine prefilled with beans. The host provides ear plugs in case you are sensitive to noise.

Great place for a short stay!

The apartment is centrally located, recently renovated, and very clean, with everything we needed for a comfortable weekend stay. The host was very kind, welcoming us on arrival and sharing useful local tips. All the information provided beforehand was clear and very helpful.

Personally, I found the stairs less convenient, especially the last flight leading to the winter room, which is quite steep. I understand this is part of the house’s design and not something the owner can change. Carrying a suitcase up the stairs would be difficult—fortunately, we only had rucksacks.

Great location, but the loft sleeping area was cramped and lacked privacy.

The accommodation is in a beautiful location, close to the village center. It is small but reasonably well equipped, with a good coffee machine, and the owner was quick and helpful in communication. He kindly provided access to his Netflix account, although we were also able to use our own, which we appreciated.

However, we experienced several issues with the “Winter” floor that made our stay less comfortable. The sleeping area is located in a loft space accessible only by stairs, and the space is extremely tight with many low crossbeams. These beams made it almost impossible to stand upright, especially in the bedroom. I hit my head on them five times during our stay, including in the middle of the night, which was unpleasant and at times startling. Unfortunately, there was no information about these limitations of the sleeping area in the property description. The bed is only accessible from one side, which meant my partner had to climb over me at night to go to the bathroom. There is also a beam crossing over the bed, making it difficult to get up quickly without risk of hitting your head. Although the accommodation was clean, we missed having curtains. Even the bathroom window had no curtain, which made showering awkward, and walking around in sleepwear without being seen from outside was not possible. Privacy was limited. Finally, the front door of the “Winter” living area could not be locked from the inside when my partner took the key out with her. It would have been helpful to either have a lock on the inside or be provided with a second key. The intercom system from outside to inside also did not work.

Charming stay nestled in beautiful Monschau. Fantastic and attentive hosts. Would definitely stay again!

A charming and cozy property tucked away in the heart of Monschau. The space was spotless, with all amenities in excellent condition and functioning perfectly. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the spacious bathroom featured a beautiful soaker tub—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The hosts also provided a crib at no extra cost. The view from the property was delightful, offering a picturesque overlook of Monschau’s rooftops. The hosts were warm, responsive, and a pleasure to communicate with. Their clear instructions made parking and locating the property effortless. We appreciated all of the helpful tips prior to our arrival to enjoy Monschau. A wonderful stay overall!

Although the day was on the cooler side, the loft area where we slept became quite warm—having a fan available would have made the space more comfortable. I’m sure the hosts would have provided one upon request but we didn’t notice until we went to bed which was quite late. Bringing our stroller up the stairs to the top unit was a bit of a challenge. While the hosts kindly allowed us to store it in the building’s entryway, there wasn’t a way to secure it, which was a minor concern. My only concern was emergency exit - should there be a need to evacuate there was no visible evacuation map and it appeared there was only one way in and out.

Monschau is a lovely village with old world Germany charm. Exactly what we hoping to find for a quiet weekend getaway.

Great location, super comfortable adjustable bed, nice hot shower. Apartment was equipped with just about everything you would need for a weekend or week- long stay.

Kitchen & bath lighting could be brighter, very creaky floors (but we were warned in advance that it was an old building). A small freezer would be nice for ice.

Uriges Haus mit dem Flair vergangener Zeiten aber allem Komfort der heutigen Zeit . Die Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen .Kaffeevollautomat ,gefüllt mit Kaffeebohnen , Milch , Teebeutel…. In der Küche war an alles gedacht , wir waren angenehm überrascht . Die Betten waren sehr komfortabel , wir haben sehr gut geschlafen .

Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig erschien uns die Hellhörigkeit des alten Hauses , jedoch beeinträchtigte sie unseren Aufenthalt nicht .

Schöner Weihnachtsmarktaufenthalt

Schnuckelig,kleine Wohnung mit guter Ausstattung,guten Matratzen und einer gut funktionierenden Heizung,was mir im Winter wichtig ist.Man kann in Monschau in verschiedene Richtungen sehen,da reichlich Fenster vorhanden.Ich war etwas höher gelegen in der Wohnung Herbst,2 Tage wegen des Weihnachtsmarktes.Das kann man sich sehr gut vorstellen zu wiederholen.

Confort, accueil et détente

Le côté hyper pratique: ne penser à rien puisque tout a été pensé pour se sentir comme chez soi, ou en famille (jusqu'au chausse-pied!): machine à café de qualité, literie super confortable, décoration de Noël (petits gnomes rigolos). Vu la position en hauteur de l'immeuble dans la rue, très jolie vue sur les toits de la ville et le vieux château, ainsi que sur une petite chapelle.

J’ai eu un véritable coup de cœur pour ce petit appartement. L’espace est parfaitement optimisé, chaque détail est pensé pour offrir confort et chaleur. Ficamos no quarto do térreo. Em que pese aceitarem pet, contar com as comodidades de uma cozinha bem equipada, máquina de lavar (com sabão disponível - que deixamos aberto para ver se ajudava a disfarçar o cheiro do espaço), cama ajustável e máquina de lavar, o odor tornou a estadia um dissabor. Inicialmente pensamos que o cheiro vinha dos dos ralos e deixamos a água do chuveiro, das pias da cozinha e do banheiro correr um pouquinho e nada mudou… resolvemos então abrir todas as janelas para ventilar. Em seguida, encontramos um cano aberto, vizinho a máquina de lavar roupas e o fechamos com saco de lixo, de forma improvisada. Não adiantou. Pensamos então que o apartamento pudesse estar fechado há muito, e abrimos todas as janelas para ventilar. Fomos passear. Ficar no apto estava realmente incômodo. Quando voltamos, o cheiro permanecia. Entramos em contato com o administrador que nos atendeu prontamente, mas afirmou estar tarde para tomar alguma providência. Disse que “tem muito problema de esgoto”. Pedimos que pelo menos levasse um aromatizador de ambientes (daqueles de colocar na tomada) para ajudar a amenizar e ele ficou de providenciar. Na manhã do dia seguinte, um sujeito bateu a nossa porta com um spray de limpeza - exatamente o mesmo que havia embaixo do balcão da cozinha e que em nada ajudava a disfarçar o mau odor. Pedimos para trocar de quarto e nenhum outro estava disponível. Como não encontramos nenhum hotel com quartos vagos naquele momento, não restou alternativa se não ficarmos por ali. Não bastasse isso, o banheiro era terrível! Apertadíssimo. Outra coisa que nos chamou a atenção foram os acabamentos feitos no improviso. O sofá e as almofadas não eram nada confortáveis e para coroar, a televisão se desligava sozinha (não, não era o temporizador que estava ativo). Frustrante. Caro para o que oferece. Não condiz com as fotos nem com as avaliações recebidas, as quais confiamos e foram decisivas para escolher onde ficar.

Eine gute Unterkunft in einer sehr, sehr ruhigen und kleinen Stadt

Die Unterkunft war gut ausgestattet und sauber. Es war gemütlich und nett eingerichtet. Man ist direkt an der Stadt. Dass es sehr hellhörig ist, liest sich bereits in der Beschreibung. Dadurch waren wir darauf vorbereitet.

Das Angebot in der Innenstadt hat uns nicht gefallen. Wir hatten auf eine gute Auswahl an Restaurants und Cafés gehofft. Leider waren viele Restaurants und Cafés durch die Woche geschlossen und wenige waren hundefreundlich.

ロケーションが良い。旧市街の中なのでMonschau観光はどこも徒歩で可能。キッチン兼リビングとベッドルームとシャワールームのシンプルなつくりだが数日の滞在には心地よく丁度良いサイズ。

ベッドが電動で合ったのは良かったが、途中で反応しなくなり平に戻せなくなった。

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, Monschau ist eine sehr schöne kleine Stadt und wir kommen gerne noch mal wieder

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und gemütlich, gut ausgestattet und die Lage ist super. Parken kann man auf dem Parkplatz Burgau sehr gut und die Kosten von drei Euro am Tag sind akzeptabel. Wir können diese Wohnung wirklich empfehlen.

Einzig eine Spülmaschine wäre noch schön gewesen, aber das ist stöhnen auf hohem Niveau

Die Wohnung lag unter dem Dachstuhl. Um in die Betten zu gelangen musste man auf die Galerie steigen die mit sehr tiefen Balken belegt war.wehe dem der Nachts zur Toilette wandelt

Vi gillade allt med boendet! Det var bra läge, det var en stor och rymlig lägenhet. Allt var toppen! En av de sakerna som vi gillade mest var den mysiga balkongen med utsikt över byn!

Ein sehr angenehmer Kurzurlaub in einem wunderschönen Örtchen!

Tolle Lage mitten im Ort aber trotzdem ruhig. Unkomplizierter Kontakt mit dem freundlichen Vermieter. Sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Bequeme Betten! Geräumige Dusche - für mich mit 1,98m /110kg sehr wichtig :-) Die Wohnung ("Sommer" in der ersten Etage) ist für 2 Personen mit Hund sehr gut geeignet.

Nur wenige Handtuchhalter (speziell für Badetücher) im Bad. Leider kein zugehöriger Parkplatz (Parkgebühr im ca. 500m entfernten Parkhaus mit 7€/Tag aber akzeptabel) Leider nicht alle ÖR-Programme im TV verfügbar - was aber nicht so wichtig ist, weil wir ja nicht zum Fernsehen gekommen sind :-) Altersbedingt (das Gebäude ist denkmalgeschützt) sind einige Türen sehr niedrig - also Vorsicht mit dem Kopf :-) Auch die Treppe ist etwas steil, was für ältere Menschen (und Hunde) problematisch sein könnte.
