Simple but value for money.

Simple but clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Handy stop for ferry and some restaurants nearby. Tesla chargers nearby and the hotel has two chargers for overnight. They charged €15 for use of. Plenty of parking.

Even with the couple of issues we would stay again.

The check in girl went above and beyond to be helpful.

Check out girl not so much. Breakfast was to be open at 8:00 but was half hour late. Turned out to be buffet and the food was out but you couldn’t see it so we sat and waited. There was no one to ask about what was happening. Poor communication. Food was okay and filling.

Great place to stay close to ferry

The hotel is very conveniently located when travelling to/from Ouistreham for the ferry. The room was clean, bed comfortable, staff very friendly, and the breakfast buffet was very nice! Overall very good value for the money!

A nice hotel for a short stay

A room was comfortable enough for a short stay. The breakfast dish choice was sufficient.

The ventilation exhaust from the toilet goes directly into the guest room

Loved it

We booked a basic room and it was basic but absolutely fine. Nicolas on reception was FANTASTIC. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and they were both brilliant. Highly recommend

Very friendly and helpful

The staff on the desk was absolutely magnificent. They couldn’t do enough for us. They found us a restaurant, when we arrived on a public holiday they even showed us where to get the bus from to go to the Chateau

Good affordable base to explore Normandy from.

The Crocus is a great hotel to base yourself for the exploration of Normandy. Things work and the rooms are clean. Breakfast was good and the staff spoke English and was helpful. Location wise, its pretty near to restaurants but you will need to drive to the supermarkets.

Could have been closer to the supermarkets but not an issue if you drive.

Handy location for ferry stop overnight Arrived late so the bar / restaurant was closed But the lady on duty was kind enough to supply us with some ice. Nice coffee in the morning

The reception staff were polite and friendly. Bed seemed clean.

No Restaurant or any facilities of any kind. Hotel is extremely run down and in urgent need of repair to the point we found a plug socket coming off the wall in the room and I would deem it to be a Safety Hazard. ( I have a photo ).

Lovely spacious and comfortable room.

Check-in after hours felt complicated at 11pm - night entry door was difficult to find (on the side of the building), two different codes needed and no lift with tired half-asleep children.

I brought my mum and nephew and son for an experience of the Fete de la Musique in Caen and I was really impressed with

First and foremost - I have to compliment the dedicated team working there. Gaspar was exceptional - in fact so much so I believed he was part of the ownership of the hotel because he was so welcoming and friendly and dedicated to customer service. The other staff were extremely friendly and receptive - they should be rewarded and acknowledged for their service. The property is within easy walking distance from the Caen War Memorial and within 15 / 20 minutes drive from the port of Ouistreham. Very comfortable beds with air conditioning.

Great location for access to Caen and the surroundings. Staff especially on reception were friendly and helpful esp on arrival. Good parking facilities with access to 2 bus routes into town. Breakfast was very pleasant and not hurried. You could linger. Plenty to eat. I was impressed as there was a very comprehensive hotel brochure with much useful information - very rare in many hotels I have visited. Attentive staff! The room main door was very secure. Thanks for a great stay.

Welcoming friendly staff. Comfy large bed. Upgraded to a superior room but part of the shower was broken 😔 Nice bathroom otherwise. Good varied breakfast. Restaurant was closed but able to get a drink at the bar.

Location and price.

The staff was not supportive. One staff member let me cancel our second night booking, but the next morning, at checkout out, the invoice was for both nights. They said they had to review, yea right. Part of the hotel is to long-term renters, and felt like a slum.
