No nonsense, clean, comfortable budget hotel. Basic but plentiful breakfast. Ample free parking with easy local road access & bus stop to Caen nearby. 24 hr check-in. Good stop over for early ferry booking.

Convenient and reasonably priced stopover

Room was clean and functional. Great option for an overnight stay when arriving or leaving Caen/Ouistreham. The option of an after-hours automatic check-in was very convenient, as we arrived around 11 pm.

No soap for the wash basin - there was a soap dispenser in the shower but there should be hand soap or another dispenser for the wash basin. Also we arrived late and used the automatic check-in, for which the process seemed unnecessarily long and complicated especially when we had already booked and paid online, and there was no paper in the machine so we were not issued with a physical receipt on which the code for the doors to the building was supposed to be printed. So we stood for a while hoping someone might come out and were about to call the after-hours number when another guest a few doors along from the entrance shouted out the code to us so we could get in. I suggest the automatic check-in be programmed to send an email or sms with the building code as a back-up.

Handy location for a stop over when using the Caen ferry port

No staff so check in is via a terminal on the wall outside the carpark. It is in an unlit area so you can’t see it very well, on a device that doesn’t work very well, the touchpad keyboard forces you to keep correcting it, the check in procedure is unnecessarily long, making you enter details already on the initial booking, then, I had no idea what the code was to get in the building, I tried every code and number on the emails and booking.com messages and just had to rely on following other people in.

We only used the hotel as a last stop before Cherbourg, for one night it was okay.

The location was good, about 2kms outside the city so you could walk in. The room was basic but comforable and nice and quiet and good value for money.

Breakfast was really just bread and jam, one type of cereal and fruit juice.

Budget Hotel - Does what it says.

This is a budget hotel and on this basis it fulfils its mission. For us, location was good.

We pre booked and pre paid. Bearing this in mind, check in was a nightmare and took at least 20 minutes in addition to a 20 minute wait while the one person in front of us was served.

A lot of parking spaces

The bathroom was constantly giving out a bad smell, despite the ventilation that was quite loud. On the second day the hotel manager opened our door while we were in bed, despite having the do not disturb sign on the door, he was "just checking" as he said. This is absolutely unacceptable.

A Great stay just 20 minutes from the ferry terminal and with secure parking.

This hotel is very convenient for coming and going on the ferry. On this occasion we arrived on the afternoon ferry from Portsmouth. The rooms are basic, but very clean and comfortable. Two towels per person (unusual for a 2*). Lovely hot shower. Staff are friendly and parking is plentiful and secure. Will stay again on our return trip to the UK.

Overall enjoyable but would have been better with air conditioning

It was perfectly functional for what we were looking for, a base for exploring the D-Day landings. Location was a bit off the beaten track for heading into Caen for the evening.

The air conditioning was not adequate, the lowest it could be adjusted to was 22 degrees, as the temp was in the mid to high 20s it server no purpose. I asked a staff member if it could be adjusted and was told it was not possible to adjust. We slept 3 nights with the window wide to try to cool the room but to no avail

the automatic machine near the gate is terrible. The notice said it wasn’t working but the gate was locked. We found that the screen did function correctly but the code we then received to open the gate and front door of the hotel had a letter A after the number which was not on the touch pad. Eventually we got in and from then on all ok. The upper corridor was thick with cigarette smoke despite warning notices everywhere!

Ferry stop

On a quiet industrial estate, nice big car park, great price. The room was big enough for bike luggage. It had a proper bathroom with a double shower (not a "pod") very clean room with a nice scent. Within street lit walking distance of a great restaurant Le Tablier. 20mins drive to Ouisrehem ferry terminal.

Didn't have the breakfast so can't comment.

Superb

The hotel is a little far out from places it’s in the middle of a being built new area, the area itself doesn’t have much to do bar going shopping at a supermarket. But I’m sure once they build it up more there will be more to do? It was two bus rides from the ferry port to get to, but a comfortable walking distance to Caen owning that Sunday buses are every three hours!
