This was our third stay at this hotel. It's conveniently located for arriving off the afternoon ferry from Portsmouth and onward travel in France. The rooms are clean, comfortable and internally quiet, though there was some traffic noise in the morning from the road that our room faced. Breakfast was good as always, and it makes for a pleasant hassle-free way to start a holiday.

A room facing over the car park side of the building would probably have been quieter in the morning. Though the windows are well-insulated for sound, we prefer to sleep with fresh air.

The rooms were a good size and clean.

The offerings for breakfast were a little limited. Also the toilet seemed faulty as would deluge the pan with water but still left ‘ahem’ stuff behind.

Great one-night stay after the ferry from Portsmouth

We stayed for one night after taking the ferry, and as with previous visits it worked perfectly for a one-night stay. The hotel has a large secure car park, the rooms are a decent size and the extra-large bed was comfortable if a little bit firm. Even when arriving at around 11pm there was someone friendly there to greet us which we like. Breakfast was buffet style and perfectly adequate to set us on our journey. Many thanks - we'll stay again.

Brilliant - would absolutely recommend.

Perfect location, short drive to Caen ferry port. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, incredible value. Breakfast had plenty of options, manager and staff very helpful at all times. Fabulous park nearby for families (Colline de Oiseaux).

Good priced hotel, worth the money and very convenient.

Big quiet rooms, clean staff on reception, better than B&B hotels, a big plus is the restaurant next door which served good food and I would eat there again. A big bonus.

Found it difficult to find as we had no internet and no sat nav, could be better sign posted.

Accessible, clean and friendly, with parking and good breakfast. Handy for late ferry arrivals.

The hotel was easily accessible from Caen-Ouisteham ferry port, and the 24-hour reception made it suitable for a late evening ferry arrival. Good to have secure on-site parking (though we got one of the last places). Reception very helpful: on arrival we opted for breakfast and mentioned that one guest has a gluten-free diet, and they had food ready for breakfast. Pleasant and friendly staff. Very good breakfast choices - well worth the price. The hotel was modern, clean and pleasant.

It would be good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room: but for a budget hotel this was an understandable compromise.
