Excellent location, plenty of fire pits to enjoy during the evening, decorated well. Staff was kind and helpful.

PAPER THIN WALLS. Could hear all neighbors, music, and commotion from all sides during all hours of the day. Room also had little to no lighting.

No windows to look out. No view of ocean as described and no goreplace as described and food was not a restaurant as expected…. More of a grill place to eat.

Trees block sunset from sitting areas. First room had a table (but no chairs), no sheer curtains (important since they do not have a/c), telephone plugged in but didn’t work to call the desk (second room had a phone without a cord). We were set up in another room that had chairs, a ripped sheer curtains-effective though. Had to relocate coffee pot to be able to use it. Nice concept but clearly a lipsticked pig. Money has been spent on decor but basic necessities were lacking for us. I began to suspect that this may be part of a speculative investment property group. Pacifica Hotels owns several hotels in Cambria. Not surprised. Fantastic concept, poorly executed. Saw similar complaints 1-2 months earlier that still had not been corrected. We perceived that they are booking people in and ignoring concerns since they’ve already got the money. Of course we were too tired to do anything about it. We will not stay here again it at any Pacifica properties during our upcoming travels through Cambria.

It is beautiful tucked away back on Moonstone right across from the beach. And they have done a nice job remodeling it.

The bedding wasn’t to my liking as the blanket on top of the sheet was more like a very stiff sheet. And the comforter was also very heavy and kept slipping off the bed.

Cleanliness! Spider eggs lining the grooves in the ceiling, tv didnt work, coffee maker didnt work, bathroom window was open directly into a hotel courtyard, walls are very thin...you can hear EVERYTHING! LASTLY, being that close to the ocean you would figure the building envelope would have a better seal, so much cold air and noise coming in at night...you cant enjoy the peacefulness.

Great Hotel

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The property is beautiful. We really enjoyed the fire pits and game areas. It’s great for families.

There is no AC in the rooms which requires leaving windows open at night. Not great for security. The rooms also have very poor lighting. There’s no sheer under the curtains so when you leave the curtain open for light everyone can see into your room.

The room was nice and clean. I loved the outdoor fireplace seating area at night, Staff were also nice.

A lovely hotel, very close to the beach across a charming park. The rooms are furnished in a very authentic and stylish manner. There is a lovely fire pit area, but it doesn't give off much heat, so it's more of an atmospheric addition.

There is no free water in the rooms or at the reception desk.

The largest property on the stretch. We loved the games room and pool and the fire pits were amazing.

Location was a challenge. Restaurant only open in the morning. Highway noise. Room location was not awesome for the money.

Has lot of open space, managed well with leisure items to play and spend time. Nice breakfast restaurant walkable on-site. Good playroom for spending time together as family. Ease access to highway 1, secluded beach. Short drive to cambria and san simeon. Decent parking I guess. Service was prompt.

Rooms did not have AC nor FAN, windows have netting so can leave it open but it was hot during our stay making it not easy to sleep. No handheld shower so folks has to use overhead shower, no handle to hold in the bath tub, had a problem as has senior family members. Not sure if the pool is heated.

Beautiful place with plenty to do on site or in the surrounding area. Also quiet and relaxing. Fire pits are a huge plus. And the beach is steps away. I would definitely stay again.

I would suggest a slight upgrade to the bathroom. Not a deal breaker.

Great location and expansive property with all nine acres. We utilized the grounds, sat in the Adirondack chairs and played with our dog on property. Very nice.

We didn't know that maid service didn't happen for a 2 night stay. It would have been helpful, with accumulated trash, etc. it would have been beneficial.

Nice outside spaces with firepits to hang out. Family and pet friendly. Close to town and the beach.

The rooms have very little natural light or privacy.

One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. Front office person very welcoming and friendly. Room was beautiful and the grounds were superb. If you want to experience the pure beauty of Cambria without crowds this is the place to stay. Close enough if you want to be in the more crowded area but far enough away from this hustle and bustle to really experience a quiet beach area and rest. Has a pool and outside seating where you can sit out at night around multiple fire pits. The grounds are so lovely to walk and the rooms are inviting with very nice decor. If you are heading to Cambria, I would highly recommend this hotel for a truly enjoyable stay.

The property is huge and lovely. The ocean is right across the street (steps away). They offer a pool, game room, and firepits and it was nice to see them being used. The breakfast was very good, not offered free but very reasonable. Lots of choices and is offered in room or in their dining area

The only complaint was that our room was upstairs which I didn’t know or didn’t ask. We are in our 70’s capable enough but hard lugging all the bags . The chairs in the room are not very comfortable . The bed however was VERY comfortable.

It was beautiful, I stayed here for a wedding. The bonfire pits are amazing. Nice beach access from the hotel.

Only complaint is.. I do not stay alone when I travel. This time I did. Thank God at the end of the wedding that was on site, my room was next to all of the brides family. I had a guy in a black hoodie standing outside of my room. I literally felt so uncomfortable, there are no cameras. The time of me closing my door and locking up my room, he slipped a note under my door. His phone number. I was so uncomfortable. Couldn’t sleep after that.
