Great location, amazing views of the ocean and the beach, friendly staff.

Everything was perfect. I wished I could have stayed more days to enjoy even more but my vacation was ending.

The location and the updated rooms. I was really impressed with the size and space we had in our suite! The bed was so comfortable too.

Some of the toiletries were not stocked up enough when we checked in.

No power when we were getting g ready. Sun morning.

The hotel itself is EXCELLENT. The only issue is that Cambria is pretty much a data dead zone. If you don't program your GPS BEFORE you leave for a place you are out of luck. Even worse, if you back out of your GPS without checking your connection, you are out of luck. If you want the view you're in luck but that's pretty much Cambria has to offer. We were there for the scarecrow festival. Next year I will book in morro bay and just drive in for the show. I can stay two days for the price of one and have more amenities to choose from.

Spacious room and the fire place was nice to have. Location was wonderful. We enjoyed walking over to get breakfast in the morning a couple of doors down. Walking the boardwalk each morning was also something we really enjoyed. Next time we'll request an ocean view with a balcony.

Parking was already pretty bad, but having to find parking elsewhere was a little troublesome because of the slurry coat being applied to the parking lot. I totally understand that this is something that just needs to be done occasionally, like any other maintenance, so this isn't really a complaint, it was just unfortunate timing for me.

Great location and convenient for Hearst Castle and the Elephant Seals at San Simeon. The hotel is located literally across the road from Moonstone beach and boardwalk. Our room was nice and cosy, complete with a gas fire (not needed during our stay) and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We had a great view over the beach from our room to watch the incredible sunset and marvel at the surfers.

Limited choice for food within walking distance - although we did enjoy what we found.

Why are they still not serving breakfast? They said they stopped at covid but all other hotels we've stayed at for the past 4 years brought breakfast back. The price was too high for no breakfast. The room was always hot with the sun shining in and there was no AC even though there were 2 fans. The fan in the bathroom didnt work and there were no windows so after a shower the bathroom was constantly steamy.

Room is not renovated , bathroom outdated smells to humidity, fireplace didn’t work, I asked early in the morning to get it fix they didn’t do anything, same as cleaning service requested, didn’t do it, pictures of room in your website are not accurate to the room that I reserved, very disappointing for false advertising.

Loved the location- right across the street from Moonstone beach! Everything was clean, as advertised and pleasant.

Parking was a little tight, bathroom a little outdated but perfectly clean and functional. Fireplace was not adjustable.

Needs up keep, chipped paint and neglected. Room given was right next to hallway door on ground floor opening on to parking area. Door propped open for air flow I presume and I eventually closed it before going to bed. Older building and mostly empty so why given poor location. Guessing because Booking.com rate gets poor location. Then 1 week to “find” and 2 weeks to receive water bottle left in fridge.

Filthy. Furniture so bad and dirty would not sit in it. Had ocean view room which was expensive and definitely NOT worth it. Whole interior needs to be redone and cleaned.

Wonderful room with sea view and balcony. The sitting area provided a great view of the sea and sunset. The hotel manager was friendly and very helpful. He took actions that made the stay great (provided coffee, waived water cost and apologized for the unfriendly welcoming from the proper evening).

The person in reception was not welcoming and took a call on her cell phone during check in. The manager apologized and said he would talk to the lady concerned. The room cost around $400 for one night and I did not expect a charge of $5 for bottled drinking water on top of this. Again the manager stepped in and waived the charge. I would have expected glasses for water (instead of plastic cups), coffee mugs instead of paper cups for the price of the room

Great location across the street from Moonstone Beach.

The room needs to be deep cleaned, the windows and window sills are crusted in dirt. There is no a/c so the windows need to be opened. The sink was clogging and the lightbulb was burned out. The refrigerator was so loud we had to unplug and the upstairs plumbing woke us up.

What breakfast they didn’t even offer any. The price of the room was extraordinary, additionally I didn’t get the balcony room that I believe that I paid for!

The view was spectacular and the size of the room was good. The landscaping was beautiful.

The hot tub did not get hot it only stayed mildly warm and only half of the jets did not work, the pool was way too small.

By far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed! Even with the partial view of the ocean, the view from our balcony was beautiful! Im so glad I picked Cambria for our first time stay by the ocean!! FYI Carmen was amazing at check in time & the other gal was great as well as she assisted me with our WiFi login issue after Carmen had left for the day! Thank you for a great service to both!

Not necessarily a big dislike, just the no phone service was something to get used to. And sadly we weren’t able to order breakfast since they didn’t have someone to deliver & they couldn’t take my order over the phone for pick up either. & We did have neighbors with pups that we could’ve done without, but was aware pets are allowed.

Good location (for our purposes - touring & site seeing). Very clean and comfortable.

No problems encountered. Pool was a bit chilly - weather had been a bit cooler and less sunny than normal, so not entirely surprising.

The location is perfect right across from the ocean. Our room had a little seat that allowed us to sit by the window and see the ocean a little which was nice.

This is our third time staying here, but it’s been years and the property has been bought by a large hotel company. We noticed immediately upon arrival that upkeep in the rooms has declined. The cabinet finish under the tv needed attention as well as the window paint very weathered. I understand the beach weather is very hard on the finishes but they need to take a room or two at a time and make them fresh. The rooms are outdated but clean. I do have a problem with the fact that no hand soaps are provided, you have to reach in the tub area for shower wash to wash your hands. This I felt was unacceptable, at this price point I do not understand why a cheap little wrapped bar of soap is not provided. I also agreed with the other reviewer who was disappointed with no real cups in the room, but worse than that was only one paper cup was in our room. I understand the need for cut backs due to the recovery from Covid, but there were just too many. We missed the wine and cheese hour they use to have and the breakfast, but again we understand the need to recover, but the lack of attention in the rooms is too much for this price point.
