The price paid did not match the facilities.

The room size for the King with jacuzzi tub was good size with table and seating area.

The price paid for the Hotel, and I use the term "Hotel" loosely, met by a slim margin. The room was large with dated carpet and furniture, the toilet would make noises for some time after flushing. The shower head in the shower was the single head fixed, a hand held would have been a better option with the water pressure. The mini fridge held very little and there was no crossbar to hold drinks in place on the door, so when you opened door, they would fall.

More than I expected. Such a lovely place to stay. Though it was near the highway we didn't even notice. The room was spacious, clean and comfy

Very nice boutique hotel in a great area of Cambria.

Basic breakfast (grab and go) and limited staff around but the rooms and facility are very nice and it is near a wonderful walking path. Underground parking was a bonus.

We love El Colibrí hotel. This was our second time visiting for my wife's birthday, and we really enjoyed our stay. We love the location and the amenities, including the room, fireplace, bicycles, parking, wine and beer bar, jacuzzi, and the staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; everything was comfortable and well-appointed. There was truly nothing that we didn't like. The experience was delightful and met all our expectations.

When we first checked in. Excellent service but I think there should be a dress code for employees as it’s the first impression one gets if the property. No attendant after 9 until 7 am which is inconvenient if things are needed or something has to be addressed immediately. Great idea for grab and go breakfast but coffee and hot water ran out. Eventually refilled when staff found out.

A cozy getaway, with no hassle check-in.

The jacuzzi tub was great, and the room was laid out nice. The boardwalk to the ocean and restaurants was fun.

The view was woods. We could hear the ocean, but couldn’t see it.

Walking distance to the beach

They said I should expect a quiet hotel and the people in the room above me were really loud. You could hear every footstep and it sounded like they were moving furniture on and off for hours. I heard children screaming and dogs barking.

Nice location, big room and beautiful setting

the room was really big, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a full size tub as well as a separate shower. Parking was good as well and the location was walkable to parts of Cambria and the ocean.

the breakfast options were very limited; I would call it very light continental- and check in is at 4 pm dont plan on checking in early.

Really nice location. Really great bed new carpet in the bedroom. Room with two queen beds and a sitting area. Big room.

The bathroom floors and sink area was pretty old needed better cleaning especially the floor. The shower did not drain properly and we are standing in water during the shower time.

Very nice, spacious clean room. Very nice bathroom but terrible water pressure. Close to hiking trails, moonstone Beach boardwalk and close enough to walk to west side of downtown Cambria.

Our room was right by the road so we heard cars passing by as we had to keep the window open until we figured out how to use the AC unit. Hallways were stuffy and it would be a huge stretch to call the lone jacuzzi and small steam room upstairs a "spa." Never stay in 1st floor room as we could hear our neighbors above and down the hall stomping and talking loudly at all hours. Tried to tell staff but they were rarely around. "Free breakfast" consists of a couple of boxes of cereal, milk, limited packages of bagels.

Great place to stay.

I love how close it is to the beach. How easy it was to check-in? It was very quiet and long. Right around the corner from Cambria.

Not a lot of food options at the hotel not to mention the room. I thought I was getting was going to have a balcony, but it did not. Then the pillows on the bed look, extremely fluffy and comfortable, but they are not. The fellows were extremely uncomfortable. I had to fold up the comforter, to put it behind the pillows, because the pillows had no stability.

No restaurant no bar no staff after six. A lot of noise from other rooms. We were expecting a lot more considering the price and the other hotels we have experienced in California.

The view was pleasant with trees outside the window. The fireplace was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean.

One of the windows was broken and you couldn't open. Room wasn't very soundproof and you could hear the people in the other room and the hotel doors, etc. in general. The shower's water pressure was very disappointing considering it was literally a trickle! We mentioned it to the front desk and they said "we know it's a problem throughout the hotel". What! How can they not do anything about it! The pressure was fine in the sink and the tub (which was a nice tub for a bath but hard to get in and out of) so I assume the shower heads needed cleaning for deposits or it is intentionally that way to save water. I wasn't pleased with their response considering a decent shower is part of the hotel's responsibility. They were not surprised and not sorry with their response.

There is no kitchen so there is just a very simple breakfast available this worked fine for us but others might want to be aware and plan accordingly. The room we had did not have the bathtub which was pictured when we made the booking like the breakfast this was fine for us but someone else may be disappointed.

The continental breakfast was not very inviting. No decaf coffee and the prepackaged bagels were a bit stale. Other than that I loved my overnight stay!

Disappointed, but nice in a pinch.

The room was nice. It was large and pretty and clean. The hotel itself was very cute and unique.

It sits right on the edge of one if the most beautiful places in the world and we were not able to see that view without getting into our car and driving somewhere else. I didn't request a room with a view, but I expected to at least be able to see the beach from the lobby or a place outside the hotel. Just to get a picture of the beach. Nope, to see any part of the shoreline we had to walk down the a boardwalk several hundred feet. We are older and my husband uses a cane. We didn't walk the boardwalk. It was a disappointment. Next time we visit, we'll pick a different hotel.

Great location, good value, not a spa

Great location and the bedroom of the hotel room has been remodeled (not the bathroom).

The photos/description are a bit misleading. In no way would I consider this place a spa or even spa like. The bedroom of the hotel room looked updated but the bathroom had not been. Safety was a concern. No staff is around after 9:00 pm and there is no latching or secondary lock on the hotel room door. Heard other guests coming in and out of their rooms/slamming doors from 10pm-12am. Interesting for a Sunday night in a town where all of the restaurants/bars close before 9:00pm.

The room was really nice along with the bathroom. It was also really nice having a trail nearby and the small morning. Breakfast was also nice.

My only complaint really was at the bed that was in our room was not as comfortable as we hoped for given the really good reviews. But my wife and I prefer a firmer mattress, in our bed seemed to cave in a bit which caused discomfort in both of our backs.

The facility allows pets, so dogs next door barking early in the morning or late at night can disturb your peace. Hardwood floors on the second floor exacerbates footstep noise and can be really annoying.
