The hotel was in a nice and quiet place, happy hour was a nice way to relax and meet people, the staff was very friendly.
My only small issue was the carpet in our room appeared to be very old.

Clean and close to everything, wonderful happy hour too.
Would have liked appetizers like they previously had.

We've always liked the large rooms, the outdoor patio area, and the location. In the past, Rigdon House used to provide a few treats for your dog... obviously, that is no longer done...too bad because it was one of the reasons why we've re-booked over the years.
The area rug in the pet-friendly room was absolutely filthy and the floors needed a good mopping. The bathroom sink was horribly clogged, you'd think the cleaning people would have addressed it instead of leaving it for guests to deal with. There was no complimentary happy hour service on Thanksgiving Day and that should have been communicated to guests in advance. If we had known, we would have brought our own. Also, the website still shows a photo of the bar beverages in their original bottles, however, beverages are now dispensed from generic ones and so you don't know the brand being poured. No longer offering Scotch and I would rather have that than the "fancy" mix choices being offered. Again, if I had known, I would have brought my own. Lastly, while we understand our stay was during a holiday, the inn should have planned accordingly and had people scheduled for things like having the morning coffee ready in the break room.

It was a cosy place to stay. Love old buildings. The guy who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.
The room could have been a bit cleaner. The shower had mold in the grout. Corners and along the wall need to be vacuumed and cleaned, and the staircase needs to be painted up to the room. Peeling badly and was afraid to hold onto it and get a splinter.

Breakfast would have been nice.

Great location! Beautiful historic property with a lot of thoughtful touches. Room was very large and comfortable. Large backyard with fire pit. Live music on Friday evening and happy hour each night.
We didn’t have coffee in the room, and the common area ran out one of the two mornings, so that was inconvenient.

Excellent location, walking distance to to all restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff members. Happy hours every day from 5 to 7.
During Christmas Lights show in December at Pine Lodge free bus stops just across the street to bring people to and back from show. Will stay at The Rigdon again.

Location was close to restaurants, bakeries, shops, etc. Bed was comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful. Happy hour was a good addition. It was easy to get to.
The kitchenette was VERY small. The window screens was filthy. The sliding glass door to access my room was defective (it would not slide easily) and bird poop on the glass for the duration of my stay (6 nights). There were accumulated dirty dishes in the common dining area. The front desk was rarely attended.

Friendly staff. Hotel location excellent for walking, shopping and dinning.
The room looked “worn out”, old. Dust on edges and the corners of the carpet. One of the interior walls, made a lot of crackling noises, making it difficult to sleep. I guess, I should have asked to be moved to a different room.

The staff was fabulous. Christian was everywhere, did everything and made it look easy. He was very gracious and inviting. They have a great happy hour. The location is awesome. Close to everything and in walking distance.
The lobby and kitchen area were nice and the rooms were fine but the rugs and upholstery in the rooms were dirty and soiled. Which is a shame because I would like to refer my family (they even have family rooms) and friends but it would be embarrassing with those conditions.

Great location. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Quiet at night. Nice back patio with a fire pit, although it wasn't on the nights we stayed there. Free filtered water and snacks. We didn't imbibe, but the lobby has a bar, and they give you 2 free cocktails per guest in the evenings. Room was large with a separate living room.
The last time we stayed here was years ago, when it was called The Burton Inn. It was charming with a wine and cheese hour, hot breakfast, and very personable, caring hosts. That's all gone now. The room didn't appear to have been updated since all those years ago, and our mattress was as hard as a rock.

Location is close to many restaurants.
AC was broken. The room could have been cleaner.

The location is wonderful. Can walk to downtown in 2 minutes.
The shower head seems very restrictive for water flow. Yet the tub faucet comes out with tremendous flow. But we take showers and it really took some time to get rinsed off. Also, the carpet in our room #22 looks very dirty and old. It’s possible it’s clean but it doesn’t look like it. Gives you the impression not to take your shoes off.

Facilities structure, large interior space and good location.
No breakfast option. The reservation stated that check-in was until 8 PM, but I was surprised to receive a message while I was on the road that said check-in was until 7 PM. They left an envelope in door inbox with a map and keys. However, because the place is very dark and large, we had difficulty finding our room. At check-out, despite the door being open, there was no one to leave the keys. I called, knocked, and no one showed up. I left the keys at the counter and sent a message, but didn't even get an "OK" in response.

We stayed in a king suite that was beautiful and charming. Living room with a fireplace, fridge, microwave, a couch, window seat, and a table for two. The bedroom was a separate room, and the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was roomy and beautiful. The staff at check in was very personable and walked us through the main building's common areas, and also right to our suite. We each had complimentary drinks and some flatbread pizza at Happy Hour, and received a good recommendation for dinner. We never heard a sound at night, and woke up refreshed. We left before breakfast was put out, so can't comment on that. The price was AMAZING for such an adorable place, and we'd definitely stay again.
Seemed like the staff who checked us in was the only staff there around 5pm. He checked us in, was cooking the food for Happy Hour AND was the bartender. It was a little comical, but he was great.

The location is fantastic with lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance, super charming area. The room was big with tons of space. The beds were comfortable, the bathtub was huge and my husband loved the drip coffee setup. We didn't get to take advantage of the free happy hour but it was a lovely perk to offer.
It is an old building so we did hear people walking around and even some talking. But it didn't bother us. Probably the reason for this too but the water pressure was really light, in the end also not a big deal to us.

The king suite room was spacious. Two separate rooms with a living area. The happy hour in the lobby each afternoon was generous. The staff (one person) was helpful & friendly. The property was in walking distance to a couple of good restaurants, a wonderful bakery, and a drug store.
The property is in need of a serious upgrade or at least a deep clean. I could tell that the paint in the room was new. However, when I first walked in I saw that the carpet was old & stained, and the windows were flithy. One of the shades had been removed. Some of the older windows did not open or have screens. The bath/shower combo was dangerous. Made from some sort of hard plastic faux marble which was very slippery. (And I did slip) There wasn’t a grab bar or hand rail. The tub was deep & difficult to step into without a bar. Peeling paint and mold on the bathroom ceiling. The common hallway and front entry to our section of the inn was dirty & the carpet was worn. Only one staff person there from 10-7, after that, no one on duty.

The location in Cambria is excellent, walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The Rigdon House is immaculate, the rooms are spacious and I enjoy their nightly happy hour with complimentary cocktails. The front register person who was the bartender (Christian)is very responsive. They have a nice garden and the decor is very nice.
The property is lovely, there’s nothing I don’t like. Although it is not on the Moonstone Beach, the location is really convenient. It would be nice if they served continental breakfast.

Spacious rooms
Furniture in living room was old and the TV didn’t work (no service). Only one nightstand at bedside and no other furniture in bedroom (lots of empty space).

Our Luxury King Suite was nice and large, bed was very comfortable. The complimentary Happy Hour, and lobby snacks were great! Location a plus, easily accessible and walkable to main street, (shops, restaurants, etc.)
The Rigdon House has potential as a charming stay, but several areas could be improved to elevate the guest experience. Hospitality and staffing are the most pressing concerns, upon arrival close to the stated check-in time, no staff were present, requiring a call and a delayed, rather impersonal greeting. Also, during Happy Hour, the staff-bartender would disappear for about 30 minutes, and than come back leaving guests waiting. A warmer welcome and more consistent front desk presence at check-in and check-out would greatly enhance first impressions.
Guest services were difficult to access, as the provided app/link was not functional and staff were not readily available to address requests either in person or online. The property itself shows signs of wear. While the interior was generally clean, carpets in the suites would benefit from a deep cleaning, and the exterior and room windows require attention.
Lastly, due to the historic nature of the building, noise carries easily. Sounds from hallways, stairs, and late-night activity were disruptive. Posting quiet hours more prominently in rooms and common areas could help resolve this issue.
Overall, with more attentive staffing, stronger guest support systems, and some facility refreshes, the Rigdon House could provide a much more welcoming, highly-rated, comfortable stay.

Room and furnishings were nice. Location was great. Cocktail hour was very nice. Outside seating area was also very nice.
Front desk was sparsely staffed. We ended up in a handicap accessible room, and the shower would have been very nice if it drained properly. I was waiting for it to overflow. In fact my husband, who took the second shower, actually turned off the water, soaped up, turned the water back on. Turned it off again to wash his hair, then turned it back on the finish.
