it was a sweet time. Beautiful boardwalk along the bluff directly across the street!

The room and breakfast rooms were very clean and the bed was quite comfortable! The man at the desk when we checked in helped us carry our luggage to the second floor. That was very helpful as our friends are somewhat disabled and our two rooms were on the second floor. There is no elevator.

For the price, a nice clean, relatively quiet hotel with nice simple ammenities. Comfy.

Great location. The tidepools and ocean were just steps away from the hotel. Nice pool/ jacuzzi. Just a nice family place. An easy continental breakfast in the morning. Clean. The boardwalk access is fantastic, and the hotel is located perfectly for leasure strolling or rock hopping, or looking for driftwood... Plant enthusiasts will dig the plants there. Again the location is great and I would stay there again. Jack at the desk was helpful. We even charged our car overnight (2 chargers) free!

Lots of parking. Nice view from the room. Pool looked inviting. Spacious lot. Room was clean.

Room inside felt like a Motel Six, very spartan. If we wanted to see the view, had to keep the drapes open, but then everyone walking by can see in. The breakfast room was small and the offerings were not appetizing. I took one look and headed back to town for something to eat. This room was not worth what we were charged. it would have been worth half that much.

Lydia was super helpful and friendly before we even arrived. The room was very clean and well insulated, we didn’t even hear the storms outside!

The room had an odd musty or cleaning solution smell to it. Perhaps a smoking room at one time that had a treatment to try and cover up the smell. Was also disaapointment that daily room service was promised and never happened on our first day there, The crew was around our room for quite a while but never attempted to enter to clean it,

Thoughtfully designed remodel

Excellent remodel; very thoughtful design. Spacious room with great view of the ocean and sunset. Comfortable bed and pillows. Vanity w/mirror in room, armpit closet, desk, table/chairs, shower w/foot-rest for leg-shaving are all nice touches. Easy walking distance to Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill.

No outlets on one side of the bed; that was the only thing we found that was missed in an otherwise thoughtful design.

Relaxing, Comfortable Stay

The property has plenty of Adirondack-style chairs to sit in to enjoy the scenery and to talk with others. We were there with family so this was an important feature. The room we were in was set up well with plenty of places to put suitcases and other personal items. The bed was also comfortable. We loved the shower! It was clean, roomy, and plenty of hot water.

The heater in the room next door was so loud and I could hear it going on and off all night. Parking can be challenging when the Inn is full, but we’ve had worse along Moonstone Beach.

A wonderful stay!

Freshly renovated with smart design ideas and quality finishes/fixtures. Very comfortable and clean. Staff at breakfast were very attentive to replenishing and maintaining the cleanliness of the space during client usage. Very nice products (shampoo/conditioner/body lotion) on offer also. Absolutely love the location - would definitely stay again if we were to visit the area again!

I appreciated the friendly staff at check-in and again at check-out. I also enjoyed hanging out with family and "new friends" at the firepit located at the front of the property.

How about acquiring an automated beverage machine (like those in German hotels) for the Breakfast Room?

Location to the ocean

I did not like the fact that the guests in the room below us left their dog in their room while they were out for several hours around dinner time. The dog barked and whined the entire time. My husband let the person in the office know. I would think the owners could have been contacted at that time and told to return and take care of their dog. The dog did not stop until the guests returned around 9. Because of this, I would not stay here again.

A nice choice for a decent price,great access to the beach.

Room was decent and clean. They have a nice sized pool and spa. There is a fire pit avaiable in the evening. Great view of the ocean from the property and several chairs available outside.

The complimentary breakfast was a little limited. There was no yogurt the first morning with an hour to go for the service. There were only apples available for fruit, would like to have had bananas. The self serve pancakes were very small and tough, self serve walffles would have been better. There was no pitcher of cold water in the breakfast area.

Beautiful rooms. Decor lovely and all looked recently done. The pool and hot tub really lovely and lots of chairs to sit outside on a night with added bonus of a gas fire pit. The hosts have thought of everything! Really beautiful place. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable and relaxing.

Location, clean, friendly staff. Only issue was the wind wouldn’t drain well(beautiful redone bathroom) and air would not kick on. I was too tired to care. It was so comfortable and clean. Will stay again.

We stayed here so we could go to Hearst Castle and enjoy the scenery.

It is very close to the beach, just across the road. The rooms were comfortable and sufficient. There were very nice walking trails along the beach with great views. There were fresh cookies available every morning, and there was a small breakfast area with a minimal breakfast for free. Near the motel there are a few restaurants the you can walk to. Cambria is a cute town with shops, stores and several eating options. San Simeon and Hearst Castle are only a few minutes away. There are several wineries a short drive away in Paso Robles.

The floors were squeaky in the room above us so we could hear the people in the room walking around a lot. The breakfast is pretty minimal. The motel is on the older side but nice enough.

An amazing location, very nice, clean stay

Very nice, very well refurbished and maintained property, and visually pleasing. The pool, spa, fire pit, outside chairs and landscaped grounds which overlook the ocean are wonderful. Just walk across the street to the boardwalk for a beautiful walk overlooking along the ocean. Pet friendly area.

The floor in our room was uneven and bumpy in areas under the vinyl was our only con in the room.
