Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach

The location was beautiful, love waking up to a sunny beach morning.

The bathroom fan was extremely loud and the fire was underwhelming. We couldn't really even make out a flame. I wish they offered breakfast or something more than coffee for the price.

Nice large rooms across from the ocean. There was a boardwalk along the coast

Maybe breakfast would have been nice.

It was right by the best restaurant I have been to in Cambria.

The showers where dirty and the floors needed to be cleaned

The Hotel was very clean with great office staff.

The fan in the bathroom was really loud and so were the bathroom fans in both adjacent rooms.

I was on room 107, but you could hear everything from room 106, even a small cough, the TV, casual conversation, everything

Location is gorgeous. Most modern/updated property on moonstone. Beautifully furnished with clean modern bathrooms. Bed was super comfy.

Fan in the bathroom was quite loud. Could have used a microwave.

Beautiful rooms with good facilities. The pool was nice. The scenery was gorgeous. The beds were very comfortable.

Decor and furnishing were lovely

Basically it’s a motel. Actual buildings were old and outdated. It said it had a lounge with coffee making facilities. It had a microwave.

We like location,cleanliness and helpful staff.

There was no breakfast,not sure when the discontinued it, but we liked it better when they had it.

Gorgeous property, gorgeous location. Very comfortable and luxurious rooms and bathrooms.

I liked that it was nicely updated. It was across the street from the ocean with great access to boardwalks along the ocean. The common area with TV, couch, and table was nice as was coffee there in the morning.

I am used to having a microwave in the room, which our room didn’t have. There was one in common area across the drive.

The loc is great. The room quite comfortable. Only downfall was the fire alarm going off at 4AM (extremely close to room for over an hour). Aware that now one was in the office, dialed the direct # to no avail. Alternate # connected me to the Seachest Restaurant. Luckily I overheard another guest down the hall state that someone was coming. Whomever came did attempt to do their best at deactivating the alarm.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

It would have been nice to have a microwave in room.

The parking lot was completely closed for resurfacing without any notice to the customers then they told us to park in the street. We cut our stay short as this was totally unacceptable and completely unprofessional. I will never return to this hotel or recommend it to anyone!

The location was great

2 of the 3 nights our neighbors were loud at all hours of the day and night. The front desk did nothing to correct the issue. The room was said to have a private patio. The patio was not private and was basically on the sidewalk by the parking lot.

Spacious, clean rooms - great location! Front desk person was helpful and informative. we would stay there again.

No real negatives. Maybe fewer emails for check in and check out!

Comfortable bed. Great location. Lots of parking. Heated pool. Nice bathroom toiletries. Decent water pressure. Quiet. Enjoyed the fireplace.

It would have been good to have a normal desk chair at the desk instead of a rolling easy chair. And, it might be nice to have a two seater table in the room to eat snacks or have coffee at.

They needed handrails in the shower area. The tub was fairly deep so it was a long drop with nothing to hold onto.

The patio facing the ocean. The ease of parking, but then the hotel wasn’t full. Check in.

Our room was underwhelming. It was advertised and priced as an upscale room/experience. However it was very ordinary. The advertised upscale bathroom amenities were lacking, the plush robes were not provided, the gas fireplace had a negligible flame, the lighting was poor, the bedding was thin and used looking, the furniture was uncomfortable, and the walls were thin. The only plus was the patio facing the ocean. When I asked about the robes I was told these were no longer provided. When I said this was advertised on their own website, I was told it wasn’t. When I sent a screenshot from their website that day which stated these things, I received no further response.

The Fireside Inn exceeded my expectations in every way! I knew the location would be great, but the hotel was the cherry on top of the whole visit to Moonstone Beach! The beds, linens and pillows were crisp, fresh and clean. Loved the warm wood floors. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and well-appointed.

Small thing: we weren’t told about morning coffee being offered in the common room by the pool when we checked in. I just happened to find it while exploring one morning.

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. I loved the fireplace! Check-in was easy.
