It could have been great

Anyone can have a problem but it’s how you fix the problem what makes you better. No one solved a lot of families problems.

To be fair and honest, I would like to highlight the valet team and bell staff, who were excellent. They were professional, polite, and genuinely welcoming. They treated me like a valued guest, and their service was the best part of this stay. They set the standard that the rest of the hotel should follow.

Management, honesty, and communication issues that seriously impacted our stay I am writing this review to highlight serious service and management problems during my stay at Morenas Hotel, Miami. I arrived in Miami for medical reasons and prepaid 4 nights for a two-bedroom sea-front apartment. I arrived with all confirmations in place, yet upon arrival the reception informed me that no two-bedroom apartment was available. I was asked to stay one night in a one-bedroom unit and move the next day. Although the room change eventually happened, no manager ever came to explain the situation or offer a proper apology, despite this being entirely the hotel’s responsibility. We are a family of three and booked a two-bedroom apartment for comfort — not for discounts or refunds. I was also told that a refund of the price difference was not possible, which misses the point completely: guests book to rest, not to deal with inconvenience and room changes. On the checkout day, I offered a reasonable solution — to stay one more night in a one-bedroom apartment if the hotel upgraded us afterward. At that moment, Humberto at reception told me there were no two-bedroom sea-front apartments available. However, when I checked Booking.com immediately after, there were at least five two-bedroom sea-front apartments available for the same dates. When I confronted this, Humberto stated that his supervisor Diego instructed him to say this. This was extremely disappointing. Guests are generally polite, but they are not naive or silly. No one books a 6-night stay costing around $6,000 to argue at reception or “cry” for attention. As a result, I booked two additional nights myself via Booking.com at full price and was assigned rooms 1901 A & B. I later went to speak directly with supervisor Diego. During this conversation, he laughed, showed no empathy, and never apologized — despite clear evidence that incorrect information had been given to me.

Overall, the hotel itself was good and met our expectations. However, heavy construction noise from a neighboring site made it impossible to rest. As a result, we had to leave the next day, which disrupted our plans and cost us valuable time checking out and checking into another hotel.

The cold water faucet in the bathroom sink didn't work. Very dim lighting in bedroom. Seems like the resort is getting a bit dated and in need of a facelift.

Clean and beautiful!

Construction next door. But was not an issue and actually made the beach a lot less crowded!

Valet and staff very friendly. View excellent

The staff was great, specifically Larry, Carmen, and Lionel. The valet team was also wonderful. Being directly on the beach was also an advantage as well having a few restaurants within walking distance.

Be careful of third-party listings that are within this hotel, specifically AMMOS Vacation Rental that has a booking.com listing for a room on the 25th floor of this hotel.
